  1. hi everyone,

do anybody had idea when nvc scheduled interview date in everymonth.

i knew that it start from 27th of everymonth

Just letting you know that Dhaka Embassy is the busiest embassy in South Asia. The most priority filers are DV lottery, then IR1...F2A would be last prior to given interview date. It was happened in my case, I wouldn't know my interview date until VB published. Just hanging there. You might have schedule already.

I would highly recommend to call DoS @ 202-663-1225, press 1, then 0. Remember that waiting time @least 20-30 min.

    Good Luck!!

  2. who regularly updates the case.Congrats n thank you so much. Best wishes for a great life ahead.

Thanks for wishes and comments. My wife will ask to pick up her passport on 4th, august. I am hoping that visa already printed out. Incase I already sent out an email to Dhaka US embassy, am sure will get more information about visa issuing.

Great present in Ramadan...! Happy Ramadan to all of you!

  6. hi everyone,

    my wife PD is oct,27-2008.

i am waiting for visa date.

    case completed on dec 2010.

do any body knows whether i have to sent new affidavit of support or not?

    thanks all.

You do not have to send any documentation unless you want to change of address or adding a new child as derrivative applicant.

Secondly, As my wife got an interview date on 24th of July, She asked to bring new affidavit of Support with 2010 IRS transcript at Dhaka consulate office at interview time. So brother make sure you need prepare a new Affidavit of Support with IRS transcript on it.

    Good Luck!!

  7. Agreed. Except for the fact that even despite USCIS reporting low demand for F2A and movement of PDs like last year to Aug 2010, there are still a lot of people with 2008/2009 PD waiting for I130 approvals, NVC processing leading to wastage of visas year over year. No one can deny that US citizens get priority, but USCIS could atleast process applications on first come basis or at least introduce separate forms for LPR as opposed to USC. Its more the lack of transparency in the process thats aggravating to many.

I agreed brother/sister!! USCIS needs to use separate patterns for Family base I-130.

  8. Yes it's not factual at all . Biased fact that Muslims with name Mohammad are not given visa. AP is not based at all on religion.

    Deshi bhai,

You're correct. Muslims name with Mohammad get mandatory AP. In Bangladesh Muslim are majority but dont know why F2A always go through AP. I knew some guy from Atlantic at New jersy, They had an interview and both family got an AP, It got me so upset...what the hell wait for my citizenship till OCT 4th, 2011.

  9. hello everyone, i just want to ask if it will become a problem on my interview when CO asked me about my hubbys add in the US and i will tell them that his address that was written in all the forms that we submitted to NVC was only for the purpose of immigration? The address in all the papers written in the papers we submitted to NVC was his parents address. he told me that he only use it so that all the mails coming from NVC will be directed to his parents house. his real add was the house of his brother and most of the time they were all out because they were all working thats why his mailing address was of his nparents house. will it raise a conflict if i reason it out?pls help me thanks :unsure:

Resident address could be different than Mailing address. Its not big problem. but make sure that your husband mention that on your DS-230 form. If he is not mention it, you might change it during the processing in your interview time or at NVC level.

    Good Luck!

  10. There are two things going on with these three cases; retrogression of the Priority Date in the F2a category for Filipinos and CSPA.

The Priority Date for these three cases (F2a from the Philippines) were originally current in the August 2010 Visa Bulletin. In the January 2011 Visa Bulletin, the PD retrogressed and these cases were no longer current. They will be current again for a second time in the August 2011 Visa Bulletin.

It took USCIS about 21 months to approve the petitions, so the beneficiaries' CSPA ages are 21 months less than their real ages when the PD became current.

The 21 years old and the 22 years old beneficiaries have CSPA age under 21 regardless of which current PD is used (either Aug. 2010 or Aug. 2011). Both will qualify for immigration visas in the F2a category.

The potential problem is the 23 years old. If the CSPA age is calculated under the Aug. 2010 VB, the CSPA age is 20 years and 11 months (22 year 8 months real age at that time)- (21 months while USCIS approved the I-130). If the CSPA age is calculated under the Aug. 2011 VB, the beneficiary's CSPA age will be over 21. Since you have not given exact dates, calculating the beneficiay's CSPA age under the Aug. 2010 VB is only an approximation with an error of 1 month which means this beneficay may or may not have aged out under the Aug. 2010 VB.

From what I have read, if the beneficiary while CSPA age is under 21 (CSPA locks in when a PD becomes current) and the DS-230 is submitted before the PD retrogress and is no longer current (Jan. 2011 in this case), then the beneficiary gets to calculate his/her CSPA age when the PD first became current. If th DS-230 was filed after the PD retrogressed, then the CSPA age is calculated when the PD becomes current again in the Aug. 2011 VB (i.e., cannot lock in first current PD if you don't file DS-230 before retrogression).

    --------------------------

Applicants affected by visa retrogression that may be interested in seeking CSPA coverage:

    • Applicant has waited more than one year to seek LPR status after the visa became available, and then the visa retrogresses. That child may not take advantage of the CSPA and visa retrogression is essentially irrelevant.

    • Applicant is under 21 using his or her adjusted age and then filed for adjustment of status during the one-year window before visa retrogression. The subsequent visa retrogression will not affect that child; his or her 2A status is locked in. It does not matter when the visa becomes available again or how long it takes to complete the adjustment process. The same outcome should occur if the visa retrogressed before the child filed for adjustment, but then became available again during that initial one-year window and the child filed for adjustment before the end of that one year.

    • Applicant is under 21 using the adjusted age and delays filing for adjustment of status. The visa date retrogresses, preventing the child from filing before the one year period has passed. In that case, USCIS calculates the applicant's age using CSPA principles on the date the visa becomes available the second time. If the child is under 21 on that date, he or she has one year from that date to seek LPR status (file for adjustment of status, an immigrant visa, or an I-824 under the agencies' current interpretations). Thus, a second one year window opens up on the date the priority date becomes current again, but the applicant's CSPA age is calculated on that date, not on the date the 2A category first became current.

Just saved $100.00 worth of advice...Very good Job!

  11. my husband went to UK embassy for interview today. we fall under F2-2 category. after the interview consulate gave him letter saying you application require additional processing. we will contact you , when the processing is finish. should we worry? or is this stander letter?

For the country of Bangladesh F2A cateory interview success rate as low as 20%. I know My wife's interview also be in Additional Processing...NO DOUBT. Where as Pakistan success rate higher than Bangladesh..Cant believe it, Why they target so much Bangladeshi woman for AP.

I already told my wife that dont get dissapointed on coming interview in 24th July, 2011...You need to go to several time embassy to pick up Visa. So I'm not buying her air ticket.

  12. Hi!

Well here we are again....haven't been back to VJ for such a long time.

I have a new question, my husband and I are baffled.

We brought his sister to visit us a couple times over the past year. While she was here she went to take English classes. She met some friends there. Well, she went back to Morocco in May. Before she left one of her classmates husbands introduced her to his friend. He is from Yemen and is a permanent resident in the States (on the East Coast...we do not know exactly where yet). I am not sure if he has only his 2 year green card or his 10...this news is NEW to us; we only found out this past weekend.

My Mother-In-Law asked us to find out how they can get married and what he needs to do to apply for my sister in law. She wants her daughter to get married in Morocco, but he wants them to get married in the states.

She only has a tourist visa, so theoretically she could come here to get married, but then there would be no family, and I am pretty sure she needs to go back, while he applies for a spousal visa.

Am I correct, or missing something. SORRY the information is so vague, but we only just found out, and this is all we have so far.

    Thanks for your time!

OP, you did not mention your future brothe-in-law's status in US? If he is Green card holder then it will take many years for bring your sister in the states, and if he is US citizen so all you need to do while she will staying here with B1 visa status, she could file I-130 with complex file which is included I-485 adjustment of status, work authorization and travel permit Advance Parole. Please follow USCIS guideline for that :

    Good Luck!

  13. quick question i have about my interview.

THE interview is on the 30 OF THE AUGUST. Which may come on the EID HOLIDAY. I looked at the embassy website and it says that they are closed on the 31st of AUGUST. Does not mention the 30.

Does that mean it will be open on the 30? Should i call and reschedule? Who know when EID is going to be 30 or the 31. What should i do.? Should i call and tell them to move it to the 25? any help would be great.

    NO WORRIES BROTHER>>>

US EMBASSY ALREADY MADE HOLIDAYS DETAILS ON THEIR WEBSITE:

HERE IS THE LINK FOR YOU: http://islamabad.usembassy.gov/pakistan/holidays.html

  14. GETTING AN INTERVIEW SCHEDULE IS NOT MEANTHAT VISA NUMBER HAS BEEN ALLOTED TO THE CASE FILE, VISA NUMBER CAN BE AVAILABLE WHEN INTERVIEW TIME, BUT ONLY VISA CONSULATE OFFICER CAN MAKE THE VISA NUMBER ALLOTED TO THE CASE FILE! SO ANYBODY GET AP/AR ON INTERVIEW STATUS, IT LIKELY TO BE VISA NUMBER WILL BE TAKEN OFF AND RETURN TO MONTHLY BASE VISA OFFICE STOCK!!

    SORRY FOR INCONVENIENCE!!!:crying:
