Good afternoon to everyone.

Can someone update my timeline? I got this message, courtesy of USCIS.gov:

"On February 12, 2013, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was scheduled for interview. You will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview."

I'm getting nervous!!!

Congratulation. Now I'm start getting worry about not update my time line. I hope I will receive my interview date within Friday. Finger crossed!

Its been a month since USCIS online status changed to in line for schedule at Tempa office, No news yet. Is anyone knows how long it will take to get scheduling interview after in line schedule status in Tempa office?

i passed my interview on Jan 23 fr Tampa office. Im still waiting for my judicial oath's letter.

I received yellow letter today . They are asking me for proof of residency. Past 3 year of tax return copies. And some mortgage payments bills atc. But its not interview letter. Anyone know how long it takes after receiving yellow letter. Thanks !

I believe you didn't send last 5/3 years tax return. Level 2 IO always verify supporting documents before scheduling interview. If something missing in the application, they will send yellow letter to bring required documents at interview time. Sometimes you receive interview date within week depend on your local office workload.

Surprised me this morning when i check my case status at USCIS website.

Here is cues:

"Expect a 30-45-day delay between when your application or petition is filed and when your information is available in Case Status Online, depending on the volume of applications USCIS receives."

Please let me know if anyone facing same situation at their service center.

today i checked to the proccessing times on uscis website . and i think they updated their timeline.. but i am still seeing to the time of the phili local office .. it shows that they are still working on july 29 2012 for citizenship applications..i send my paper 21 december 2012 and they received my mail 24 december.. 02 januarry they sent me to the fingerprint notice.. almost 1 month 12 days passed on my first sending date.i gave them fingerprint on 14 january 2013. still waiting but no respond about the inline for interview.. or something else.. what happening? can anybody tell me their important comments which are for me..

Was hoping to post good news, but my interviewing officer told me "If it was up to me, I'd say yes. But it's my boss's decision; I'll recommend he approves you." This was in regard to a couple of trips of more than 6 months out of the country. A few hours later I got an email telling me that there is a "request for further evidence" letter forthcoming.

So, no good news yet. Wondering what further evidence they need, as I submitted tax forms, bank accounts, credit cards, etc. all indicating not having abandoned the US as home.

On a side note, he did say that if approved, it would likely be 2 to 3 months before I'd get in for an oath ceremony. Apparently the Greer SC office is backed up in that regard.

Sometimes "Request for Evidence" message is system generated by USCIS web portal. I would say You will receive approval/Oath ceremony letter within 2-3 weeks.

No need to worry at all!!

Hello,

I have read a lot of topics about moving while the N-400 is in process, but still have some questions regarding my situation.

My husband and I want to move back to London (where he is from) in the near future, but wanted to complete his citizenship first. To save money, we were going to move in a couple months to my aunt and uncle's house (which is undergoing renovations in preparation to sell), which will be rent-free. We have lived in our current apartment for 3+ years, and most of the documentation we are providing with the application is related to this address. When we move, I was going to file a change of address with USCIS to get everything sent to my parent's address, since this is also in the same city/district, and it would make things easier. Is this going to cause any problems? If we change the address of our bank statements, car insurance, cell phone bill, and driver's license, and my husband brings documentation to the interview, will this be ok? I really want to file the application now since we essentially have everything put together...

I dont think so, its gonna be big issue at all. My mailing address is separate than my physical address and all my N400 letters came in to my USPS mailing box address.

I just kept it all separated mailing address because previously USCIS mail was stolen.

I would highly suggest :buy an mail box and have all the documents send in thats how you have NO WORRY!

^{Tampa Field office updated their N-400 application processing time from may 2012 to 5 months. Its great news for me that they have reduced processing time for N-400 application. I hope I got my citizenship done within 5 months time frame.}

Hi All,

I am LPR and I filed my N-400 on September 2012 and did my fingerprint on 1st week of October, 2012. Since then I have not heard anything from USCIS and my application status is on "Initial Review" Looks like they will never call me for interview. I am desperately waiting to be citizen so that I can upgrade my wife's I-130 Petition.

So, I called Senator office on Friday and Office Assistant asked me to fill a Privacy release form before she can help me and form contains my all personal details ( date of birth, address, SSN, etc). Office Assistant says I can write letter only after submitting that Privacy Release form. Is it ok to release those information and will she really help me to expedite my case? Will the Senator read my letter and take my case seriously since I am not USC? Also LPRs have to wait at least 2-3 years to get their spouse here, can I write about it to Senator, Does that help? I am really uncomfortable when it comes about releasing private information.

Please provide me your opinions. Thanks in advance for your response

You should sign the relesse paper thats how you could expedited your n400 application peocessing. Senator office will not share your peesonal info to tge public. They are very seriouse about it. You can do the privacy act form without any doubt, I have done it before and they will helped me out about my wife's i130 case.

Is it true that some offices schedule based on your earliest eligible date? I guess I'll be put far in the pack then...my 3 year anniversary was 1/8/2013, but was eligible to apply on 12/18/2012. So my guess is that if there were people who applied after their 3 year anniversary, they received priority. Is that correct? Thanks.

I applied my N400 after 5 years of GC anniversary(almost 6 months now since 5years passed), I dont think they will give priority for that. I believe it will be just regular processing time which is 3-5 months depends on local office work load.

Updating my timeline....my husbands biometric interview was scheduled for 12/31, but he missed it and was able to walk in on 1/2 to get it done. He said they were very nice and accommodating at the Baltimore local office. Checked his status online and it says he's been placed in the interview scheduling queue as of 1/4....fast processing so far. I wonder how long it usually takes to get an interview though.

You are the fastest way to go, I'm hoping that i will be place in the interview scheduling by next week, lets finger cross!

I could be wrong but usually my background check doesn't take that long. I did a FBI background check few months ago for US Customs and Immigration to get my global Entry and it took exactly 5 days to clear.

It could be then your local office who taking longer.

Can we have a discussion on why no one from Texas has been put inline for interview as of yet? This is a bit odd to me; also I check the status of the applicants who applied on the same date as I did and I would say 75% of them are already inline for interview.

May be your background check hasn't been completed yet by FBI wait couple more weeks, you might have some result.
