Just Quick question! How lond doest it take to get NOA1 receipt afte I130 application submit? I mean I have sent I130 Application package for my sister, USCIS has received on 03/12/2014, but check hasn't been cashed yet. just curiouse this days how long it takes to get NOA1 receipt letter from USCIS.

Guys. Till now, no IL recv. What does it mean?

Relax guys!! I haven't received my IL not till 7th day of the month. There is no worries. You need to wait until next Friday. I would say it will be big jump and IL will start sending from Monday...

Quick question:

I am going to apply for my sister. Do i have to file I-130 separate for each person( Like my sister's husband, son and daughter)? I have heard rumor that last date of filing for sister/brother is May 31st, 2013? Please input your opinion.

With the new CBP process, a CBP officer will stamp the travel document of each arriving non-immigrant traveler. The admission stamp will show the date of admission, class of admission, and the date that the traveler is admitted until. Travelers will also receive on arrival a flier alerting them to go to CBP.gov/I94 for their admission record information.

Travelers will not need to do anything differently upon exiting the U.S. Travelers previously issued a paper Form I-94 would surrender it to the commercial carrier or to CBP upon departure. Seems we are in the same box.Thats exactly what my situation is and exactly what happen to me at interview.There is only few things which is not quite similar with with you.

First...The interviewer was rude with me and she told me something which was awful to hear ! She tried to make me nervous and i feel lack of respect when she talked to me.

I didn't lie or i don't need to lie with her about my case.

2nd....i had divorce with my U.S wife and i went my country three times.

1] 06/08/2009-----09/02/2009 1st time and got marriage

2] 03/01/2010-----0729/2010 2nd time and my wife got pregnant this time and a baby girl born 10/31/2010

3]11/15/2011------12/07/2011 3rd time.

She questioned me about the time and my stay and my return here.She was trying to tell me that it was very short time to born a baby.Would you please mind to see how could it be a short time to be pregnant and how long it takes to give a birth of a baby?

According to your above time line, it is confused that either have date conflict about your wife's pregnancy. Check your date that you have mention above.

All I can say there is none you can do except waiting and pray hard.

Question, my interview letter states although it's not mandatory i should bring two passport pics.

Does everyone's IL says this, and if it does do they actually use these pics?

Sometimes, they use it for spot Oath ceremony for printing out your Naturalization certificate vai. All IL says this

My office is Manhattan and yes its one of the slowest in my opinion in the country if not North East. I think its the sheer volume of applications they handle.

So your interview will be in Manhattan as well, and you're already scheduled? wow, you're lucky! Now I'm confused, I ready have no clue how they do that. I'm really hoping for May interview, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen.

Why don't you take INFO pass and get know what the heck of your case status???

As promised, here's my interview experience. Interview was scheduled for 9.30am, I arrived at 9am. The line was a bit long and slow, got to the 15th floor about 9.20am. Handed in my appointment letter at window 1 and sat for just under 2 hours before my name was actually called. I was interview by Officer Jordan, she was not rude or mean but very professional, serious and got down to business. I swore to tell the truth and she asked me to have a seat. I took out my envelope to give her my updated trips that I had taken for my job. She said she didn't want to see anything unless she asked for it. She told me to put everything down on the table and not to give her anything unless she asked. She asked for all my passports that I've used, green card and driver's license. She ran through them quickly and then got into the English part of the test. Don't remember the line she asked me to read but I had to write "We pay taxes. She then had me sign a paper and we then got into the civics part of the test. 1. What is freedom of religion 2. Name one state that borders canada 3. What ocean is to the east of the United States 4. When was the constitution written 5. How many US senators are they 6. When must all men register for the selective service. I answered all correctly and then she asked me to sign another paper. She asked when was the last time I left the US, I told her I left on 13 APR to Paris and returned yesterday. She then started with the yes and no questions, then finally she got to my trips and she asked if that was all the trips I had taken out of the US (I had listed 3 trips). I told her I have an updated copy, she took a look at it. I had a total of 33 trips and 82 days out of the US. She asked if I was still employed with my employer to which I answered yes. She then asked if I had any proof that I was registered with the selective service, I gave her a copy. She then give me a paper saying I passed the Civics and English part of the test and also congratulations, you are recommended for approval. She asked if I had any questions for her, I looked at her with a huge smile and said no and finally she smiled back at me. She told me to take a seat until they called my name. I went back to the waiting area and waited for about 4 hours until they called. They took my green card, asked me to verify that the information on the certificate was correct, I signed the certificate and was once again congratulated. I was told that the Oath will be at 4.30pm. At 4.30 we all gathered into the room for the Oath but unfortunately it was the last oath of the day and they were still interviewing more people and printing certificates. The Oath was now delayed for another hour and 30 mins. Finally we all took the Oath and collected our certificates and I was out the building. Just like that I became a US citizen. Long day but well worth it. I spent a total of 8 and a half hours at USCIS today. Thanks to everyone on this forum for all your help throughout the past 4 1/2 months and I wish each and everyone of you the best of luck in your journey to becoming a US Citizen and after becoming a citizen. I can finally say my USCIS journey is finally over. It was a long one but a bitter sweet ending. God Bless you all.

Hello everyone, I've passed my test and got my Oath ceremony day too: 11:30AM April 25th,which will be on next Thursday.

I'm so happy and will be more exciting to celebrate my birthday tomorrow!

Below are my interview experiences event:

Appointment was at 1PM. I've arrived 12:30. 1:05PM one lady called my name. She reminded me that I should bring all my documents with me.

She was very friendly and make me feel alot better when she said " don;t be scare, it seems your file is fine, you'll be ok , let's have to get through the procedure and you'll be done before you know it!". phewwwww!!!

There were 6 questions:

1/ The House of representative has how many voting members? (435)

2/ We elect a US Representative for how many years? (2)

3/ In what month do we vote for President? (November)

4/ Who is the Chief Justice of the US now? (John Roberts)

5/Name one war fought by the US in the 1900s? (Vietnam War)

6/What ocean is on the West Coast of the US? (Pacific Ocean)

Read: Who is George Washington?

Written: George Washinton was the first President.

Then after that she asked me some questions regarding to my application.

About 20mins, she said:" congratulation. Your application is recomended for approval. Please don't go home yet, we will let you know your Oath ceremony day right away,today!!!"

Of course betwwen the questions, we chit chat about weather and Boston marathon and Patriot day. She asked me to show her my passports( old and new:from my native country), my husband pp, our 2012 tax return. That's all she asked for.

I was lucky enough to have her as my IO, she is nice and friendly. Hopefully you guys will have her as well.(Boston)

P/S: we have just left Boston areas, then we heard on the radio about the bombs at Boston marathon finish line. So shocking!!! My heart goes out to the dead victims and prayers to wounded ones.

Attended my interview today, what should have been a day of celebration for me in Boston has been clouded over by what happened with the explosions at the finish line of the marathon.

My interview was very quick, spent just over 10 minutes with the IO. Asked the questions, read and wrote the quote, then ran through the application. And like jay & ken, have my oath next week the 25th.

What do you mean by corrections?

At your When Officer when over your N-400 Application, did you make any correction? or they might have find some correction on your application after review your N-400 Application. That could be reason you got status change. Its not big problem, give few days you'll receive another email soon.

I would say not worry about Online status and you'll receive another email where will say that your Oath letter in the mail soon to follow. oh also forget to mention that when you receive that kind of status, it means that you had correction in your N-400 application. Officer must corrected those Information before scheduling your Oath ceremony.

Yes i did miami boy. The N652 and that was ticked that i was approved. I am confused how come i got this email now asking for more evidence. She even told me to wait for oath letter.

Anybody else had this happen to them? I had my interview this morning and she gave me the paper to tell me I passed and to wait for my oath ceremony letter. Now this evening I received an email that April 12,2013 they sent me a mail requesting more evidence and that my case will be on hold until they get the requested evidence back and let me know by mail what they did decide. This really confused me! Please help... anyone?

Did you get the letter from Officer where it X marks and said that:

Congratulations! Your application has been recommended for approval. At this time it appears that you have established your eligibility for naturalization. If final approval is granted, you will be notified when and where to report for the Oath Ceremony.

i must correct myself: I was thinking F2 visa not status In that case she can do the 3 year-90days rule from the date YOU became a US citizen.

I just found it USCIS website it written that :

If you are at least 18 years old and:

Are currently married to and living with a U.S. citizen;

and

Have been married to and living with that same U.S.

citizen for the past 3 years;

and

Your spouse has been a U.S. citizen for the past 3 years

My question is that Will USCIS count those time while She was living with me( Permanent Resident)?

I am going to have my Oath soon, My wife came with F2A status 1 year ago, What Prior time or eligibility will she use for Naturalization application, I mean 3 years or 5 years?

hello folks have my interview today at 26 federal plazza in new york.nice lady went true the all documentation then the yes or no questions.after that reading and wrirring test then the civics questions.ihad 6 questions because i gave the right answer so dont need to go to ten.after she said i passed and i will received the oath letter in about 2 wks.thanks everyone wish good luck to dramaqueen coz she/he is also part of ny.dont know now how long will take for the letter and the ceremony.anyone have idea.thx

The reason I am asking I got same letter from IO yesterday after finish successfully interview.
