    💥Latest update:

    Application submitted online on 07/09/2023.

    Received a receipt notice 07/09/2023.

Received a biometrics appointment notice 07/14/2023.

    Biometrics appointment was on 08/02/2023.

Received a interview appointment notice 09/08/2023. (Separate interview dates for husband and wife 24 & 26 /10/2023.)

Request submitted to cancel appointments 09/08/2023. (Due to conflict with international trip. Called USCIS customer service to cancel the appointment.)

Received 2nd interview appointment notice 09/13/2023.

Interview appointment 30/10/2023. (Husband and wife are scheduled together this time round.)

Interview appoitment 30/10/2023 - recommended for approval.

    Oath Ceremony scheduled: 11/14/2023

Our interview on 10/31/2023 went well at the Philly USICIS Office. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Parking was very easy. Upon arrival we had a TSA-style security check. After checking in we were directed to a waiting room on the 2nd floor. My wife and I were interviewed separately by different field offices. My wife was interviewed first. Her officer was unintimidating - professional and friendly. Very straightforward and without issues. My interview was about 15 minutes later. My officer was also professional and friendly. My interview was more intense, but not negative. I expected this as we immigrated to the US based on my work sponsored visa. I changed jobs after two years in the US. A lot of my questions were focused on my work history. Again, the officer was thorough but I never got the impression that he was trying to get my disqualified.

Our Oath Ceremony was scheduled for 11/14/2023 within 24 hours after our interviews.

Overall a very positive experience. We've already booked our passport appointments for later this month after our Oath Ceremony.

    Thanks for all the support!

We take our Oath on the same day! Congratulations to us! I can’t wait!

  2. Update:

Had my citizenship interview yesterday at San Francisco field office at 1:55pm. Everything went well. Passed the civics test. Officer only asked me 6 civic questions. I was told by the officer that Ceremony is going to be on Monday 10/30 at 11am and I have to wait outside after my interview for the Ceremony letter. However, USCIS system was down that afternoon they could not print or probably couldn’t place us for Oath schedule on their system so we were just told to wait for the mail from USCIS for the Oath Ceremony schedule. A little bit disappointed but still happy that I am almost done with my immigration journey. My only concern at the moment is I have an upcoming international travel 1st week of December. So I just hope I would get my Oath schedule soon so I can apply for a same day passport ASAP.

Current status says: Oath Ceremony will be scheduled.

Here's our latest update as from this morning...

We submitted our applications online on 07/09/2023.

We received a receipt notice on 07/09/2023.

We received notice that our biometrics appointment was scheduled on 07/14/2023.

Our biometrics appointment was on 08/02/2023.

This morning we received a notice that our Interviews are scheduled at the Philadelphia office. Unfortunately, they scheduled my wife and I 2 days apart on 24 & 26 October. This is not ideal because we have a 3 hour trip one way to get to Philly. On top of this the dates fall over an international trip we booked a few months ago and we can neither change nor get a refund for our family's tickets.

I called USCIS customer service this morning and they've cancelled our appointments and put us back into the scheduling line. The agent said we should expect our interviews to be scheduled in November or December.

It sucks that we have to do this but it's our only option right now.

Wow congratulations!! Amazing you did get your interview notice before your 5th year! I hope I would get mine soon…

I am truly in shock that my husband received his appointment for interview at Baltimore today for Oct 4th. We had expected to wait for 16 months at this point. Even more crazy is that we will be on our annual vacation that day. It will be quite a roadtrip for us, but we intend to certainly go. Time to tie him down and make him study some more. 😊

Does anyone know what we should bring?

When is your husband’s 5th year or anniversary?

Anyone got some insights on this?

We became eligible to submit our N400 at the 4yr 9months mark. We filed the same day we became eligible. We've already completed our biometrics. Should we expect our interview date to be stalled till after our official 5 yr anniversary in the US or do they schedule interviews before you've reached the official 5 yr mark?

    TIA

Same here. I filed exactly 4 yrs and 9 months. 07/07. My 5th year is on the 5th of October. Done with my biometrics last 08/01. I am wondering as well if interview has to be done after our 5th year?!

@TheVans When is your 5th year?

Do you see it online in your account?
Maybe they’ll send the notice in the mail. If you check the case status with your receipt number, does it say anything?

You can try chatting with Emma and finding out there if they sent out the biometrics appointment notice

Theh have updated my documents tab after few hours. I’m scheduled for biometrics on 08/01. 🙂

Sounds like the tourist visa was correctly denied for immigrant intent, then - can you confirm if it was a 214b denial?

The reason why they denied my tourist visa before was lack of funds. Doesn't matter if you have pending petition or not. Its how you convince the officer that you have enough funds to cover your travel expenses in the states.

  8. I had my Eb3 Immigrant Interview last year in Dublin, Ireland. I am from Philippines but my Interview was in Dublin. Everything went well except for my Birth Certificate that was not readable. I was put on Administrative Processing for weeks and eventually issued Visa on August 2018. Landed in US on October 2018 and officially working as Full Time RN.

That is quite normal.  AP to READY and back to AP is very common.    ... shortly after if all is good watch for ISSUED.

True enough. I checked my case today morning and the status went to ISSUED from Administrative Processing. Thank God!!!!

Thanks Hank_. Hoping for an ISSUED status tomorrow morning....

  11. Hi guys. Who among you here experience the same CEAC status with mine. I was interviewed in Dublin embassy last Aug 15, 2018 for an EB3. Foreign Changeability is Philippines. I was put on administrative processing due to Birth Certificate issue. Submitted another Birth Cert last Aug 23. The CEAC status. was updated on the same day. Aug 24 CEAC status showed Ready from Administrative Processing then went back again to Administrative Processing. Im kind of worried since time is running out. I have 5 days left before the September Visa retrogression takes effect. My PD is no longer current on the next visa bulletin.. Any idea about this CEAC Status? Is this is good sign that they are working on my case?  Thanks!

  12. Hi I am also an aged out f4 derivative. My mother petition me under f2b now with priority date jan 2014. I would suggest to get a separate petition from your mom. at least you wont be wasting time. I was also hoping for a positive result during the cspa case regarding retention of priority date in the supreme court for aged out derivative but unfortunately they are sending us back to the line and will wait another 10 years. But im still hopeful, obama or the next president might make an immigration overhaul. :-)
