Congratulations on receiving your interview date! I think you were lucky that your interview was scheduled more or less 2 months after NOA 2. After looking at other people's timelines it looks as though 3 to 4 months is the norm. Best wishes and make sure to keep us informed!

Actually, my petition was sent today to the Santo Domingo consulate. For us, K1 filers, it is a quick trip through NVC. I am hoping for a late April or early May interview date.

Today, I received NOA 2 in the mail. I called NVC and I was given my case number and was told the petition was sent to Santo Domingo today! It finally feels like this process is happening! :-)

I am hoping to get my approval receipt notice in the mail soon. I want to be able to begin calling de visa specialist and the Department of State!
