I got an email from the embassy this morning. They said my husband's visa has been issued and he has to be in the States by March 9, 2014.
Most of you know our story. We were in AP 16 months when our visa got denied because the embassy said we were not legally married because I am a Christian and he is Muslim. We hired an immigration attorney and won our appeal. Our case was sent back to the embassy where we were kept in AP almost another 2 years.
My husband is strong and he kept our marriage together through the long wait.
I want to thank all my friends on visa journey that supported us and encouraged us through the years.

Been together for nine years, married for 4 years. He became a citizen last year and he's still hanging around. I guess we must be doing something right

My sugar muffin honey bunny Moroccan husband remains decidedly lovable. Our 7th anniversary is coming up, and we plan on making it as saccharine an affair as possible. Or maybe just go to the beach.

To be honest, it would be better for them to be together and struggling to support a child than to be apart and be struggling. A child in a poor family with a caring father is better off than a child in a rich family with a father who doesn't care about him, and makes no effort to teach him what actually matters in this world.

aaron2020 dont you think your being a bit too aggressive????? my posts are very very very neutral and on both sides, ive stated repeatedly how much i respect our system and our beautiful country and all the hard work being put into all of this. I am for anything that may better and ease up the process. JESUS! where the h*** does it state that i BLAMED THE U.S for me and my fiance and baby not being together. AND NO I DID NOT PLAN POORLY. if you know much about life, you would know, that not everything goes according to plan. i didn't plan to fall in love, i didn't plan to get pregnant, i certainly didn't plan at all to do visa papers for anyone in my life......i fell in love , i got pregnant and here i am doing visa work for someone i love , IF YOU PLAN ON DOING VISA FOR people ahead of time, than maybe your relationships are questionable.....no one plans on falling in love, you don't do calculations and come up with an equation on which country to marry from or what ethnicity to spend your life with. i cant believe how some people reply.....
By the way, i cannot see or even dream of seeing my baby daddy until he gets his visa because of three countries' WELL RESPECTED policies, Syria, which is a hellhole right now, Saudi Arabia, which has THE MOST DIFFICULT visit policies on earth, and finally our beautiful U.S which is trying to protect us all. so please when replying don't try to be so offensive, especially in such a sensitive and difficult subject......

Yeah, this does not sound promising. Why would she need you to complain in order to treat you better? Everyone is, or should be, on their best behavior at the beginning. So if this is her best, think of what you have in store later. Be glad there are no kids and that you have not consummated your marriage. That makes it easier.
The "no sex" part would be a deal-breaker for me, and I'm not even the randy stud I once was.

Find a mosque for him to attend, I'm sure LA has plenty. That is where my husband made a lot of friends and found out more about the variety of halal markets . He also started playing soccer with friends he made there , which in turn, he made more friends. It's also a good way to get information on the job market, as they all started from scratch when arriving and it helps to know how they went about getting into the job market.
Until my husband arrived here , I also thought there aren't any people from Morocco in little ole Vermont , especially not ones who have an American spouse...couldn't be more wrong
My husband now works with 3 people for the same company that attend his mosque .
It will get easier!
