  1. Well she didn't see any proof!!! she asked my husband if we can come later either in the afternoon or the next day. than she told us to just give her anything that we want her to see and she mentioned that anything we will give her will be in our file and we can't have it back!! and she told us that she will see everything in afternoon and in case she needs something more more she will call you and lets us know.!!!!

than she took her bag and left with us.

Seems like it was her lunch break. Don't stress out! From what you told I wouldn't take it as something negative, maybe something out of the ordinary but not bad at all, specially if she hasn't called so far! :)

Also, congrats on the twins!!! Has always been my dream too! :P

  2. Well i had my interview yesterday and the officer said that they been working on vwp for about 3 months now

thats when her boss told her to start puttin vwp cases on pending.

i asked her how long i had to wait and she said that she could not tell me cause they r workin on it.

i think that we are going to be fine .i overstayed 8 years.

thanks n let us know when you hear something from them i will do the same.

What I don't understand is why you entered on VWP. Uruguay is not on VWP.

    Les deseo lo mejor!! :star:

P.S. I just noticed your name is I'm bolso. Hahaha. Yo también. :)

  3. The USC will need to prepare a I-130 (which will cost $355) and the Intending immigrant will need to prepare a I-485 (together with I-765 *working permit*, I-693 *medical form* and I-864 *affidavit of support*) (Which will cost $1010)

They will want to include with both of them G-1145 for e-mail and sms notification.

They need to make sure though they're separate packages that they are sent in one envelope to the corresponding P.O. Box in Chicago, IL.

Even though you may not agree with them I think it's very nice that you're trying to support them. And you shouldn't worry in this section we're all on the same boat so nobody's judgmental.

    All the best!

  4. They cant see any of my piercings and they didnt ask if I had any

I spoke to them again and they advised that they had a client who sent it off without the Hep A & B and it was rejected so he came back to them had his shots and they resigned the paperwork for him free of charge.

I think it may be a high risk state therefore I need the shots

I wanted to let other people know as I travelled over 4 hours yesterday (to a different civil surgeon than I am not going to use now) to be told this information even though I had called the civil surgeon twice and asked several times if everything I had was ok.

Sometimes trying to save yourself money just isnt worth the hassle

Indeed. I would say get them, even if you do pass out, it'd be worth saving you trouble later on!

Good luck! Bring something sweet for after you've passed out! :)

  5. Thanks a lot. It's been driving me crazy. Tracking the money order every day only to hear that it hasn't been cashed in and run to the mail as soon as it gets here and nothing. I knew we were going to have to wait, but this is kinda ridiculous. Fortunately the appointment is on Monday so not too long now.

Thanks for the reply once more. I really appreciate hearing other people's stories and being heard too. :)

  6. Good afternoon to you all!

For those of you who haven't read it before, here's our story in a nutshell.

My husband and I sent both packages (I-130 and I-485) together (though in separate envelopes) to the same P.O. Box the 27th of July. They were received the 29th of July.

I-485 was returned because they were in separate packages and since then we've been waiting on the I-130 NOA.

After days we still hadn't received any NOA so I went over the duplicate forms that we had and noticed that there was some information missing. Since then I've been waiting for a rejection of the I-130, a letter requesting more information or anything to arrive in the mail but I haven't received anything. The money order hasn't been cashed in either.

I've got an Infopass appointment for August 28th but it seems so far away I can't help but go crazy over this.

I just want to know whether there's a way to withdraw our application and re-apply sending both packages together, or whether we're stuck waiting not to hear from them? Also, what should I expect from the Infopass? Will they be able to locate our I-130 if I ask for it or will that be useless? I really need information on this matter. We've already done enough mistakes as it is and I want us to get back on the right track.

Thanks for your comments in advance!

  7. @Donna A : i see your point , maybe that's what it seems like but it's not like that, I know what you mean. maybe it will be a problem, maybe it won't. the thing is I will be with this girl for a long time, I hope forever, who knows what the immigration officer will say.

@Kathryn41 : Thank you for the detailed info, you told me exactly what i need to do, i will talk to her and we will start filling the documents. one thing i don't really understand is, when i fill out i-130,i-485 and i-678 and send them , can they just reject my application, without an interview ? or that's when we will have our first interview, when i apply for the legal right to work here ? this is important for me because I don't want to be illegal in the US not one minute. I'm asking around here because she doesn't know too much about all these legal technicalities.

They will only reject your documents if you've filed them incorrectly, like me, make sure you make two separate folders for each form but put them together in the same package. Also make sure you write almost every single space, do not leave anything, if it doesn't apply to your situation just write N/A but do not leave empty slots, if you do that they are unlikely to reject your application.

  8. Kitty please stop freaking out. lol.

I totally understand you though. I went to NY to visit a friend yesterday and on the way back today I was thinking of someone stopping the bus and checking for ID's and getting me deported.

But don't worry nothing's going to happen. Just get everything sent out, and don't make the same mistakes I've done! :( You won't need a straight jacket, just a big big BIG cup of tea.

  9. If you want to stay in the use follow the guides for AOS (adjustment of status) including the I-130. Yes it is a lot of forms, yes it does cost money, yes it does take time. Once you have your NOA-1 (notice of action) which is essentially a receipt showing you filed for the AOS you are considered pending status in the US even if your I-94 is expired.

Please read the guides and follow them to the letter. Leaving out one form or forgetting to sign one paper might have the paperwork delayed or rejected.

If you don't do that you could end up like us. With a rejected I-485 and an I-130 that hasn't been NOA or rejected yet after 15 days. So yes, please read carefully and ask questions that you need to ask.

  10. Hi all,

I just want some opinions on the following case. I sent both my I-130 and I-485 separate to the same P.O. Box. My I-485 was rejected last week and after reading our I-797C about a hundred times we resolved that we would send it out again with I-130 NOA when it arrived.

We sent both our packages on July 27th and they were received on July 29th.

I keep waiting and I'm still checking the money order daily just to keep listening to the recorded message telling me the money order is still out standing.

Today I took my extra copy of the I-130 just to check if we had made any mistakes while filing it out and it turns out that we didn't write my I-94 number. :bonk: Now I'm thinking that the I-130 will be rejected too. :crying:

Any advice? Anyone can give us some hope? I'm totally frustrated and upset cause we spent weeks putting all of this together and now it seems that it's all wrong. Anyway, insights are appreciated. :(

  11. Option A is correct... it's difficult to say why they sent it back without us seeing your entire application. Look it over carefully and make sure absolutely EVERYTHING was answered and accounted for. Sorry to hear it was sent back!

Thank you. It's fine, I discovered that it was rejected because I sent both packages separate but to the same P.O. box. Now we have to wait for the I-130 NOA.

    Thanks for replying! :)
