Just received my Biometrics letter! Date Nov 29th! =]
-
Good news everyone! I just received my Bio appointment for Nov 29th! Whohoo! =]
-
Nope. Still waiting for the Biometrics letter. It's been over 30 days. I called the NSC yesterday, they told me they started a request for information and that I should hear from them within 30 days. More waiting. Whohoo.

Good morning to all!
My husband and I are a bit concerned because we haven't heard from USCIS in over a month, they've been touching our applications, but still no biometrics, and it's been over a month that they sent the NOA1. I called NCSC today and they said that they will request information and that they'll send it to me within 30 days, and if in 30 days I didn't hear from them I should call back, but they weren't able to tell me if I had biometrics date or anything. Is there anything else I can do? Or just sit and wait? It seems to be odd that I haven't received an appointment yet. =[

Thanks!!
If you have an Immigration office near by, i would recommend to go and ask for the Immigration Officer's help to "find out if you have been scheduled your appointment" ( tell them that you were expecting the letter to have arrived already), just wait a couple of more days... Make sure you bring your I485, I765 and some type of ID... you may have the same results as I did
Thanks for the advice. I'll do that next week if I haven't heard from them! =]

By the way, she told me that i will still receive the "original bio app. letter for the 27th" and told me to save it but to disregard it since the bios were already done... Today I somewhat feel very "special"... Hehehe....
This took place at the Charlotte NC Field Office for biometrics ( they have 2 "offices", one for biometrics only and another one for everything else) contact me if you happen to have the same geographic situation for directions...
Wow great news! Congratulations!!! Well I'm in Virginia and it's day 16, so I think I'll wait at least until day 20 before I go doing anything. But I am really excited for you!!!

Ok. I'm relieved to hear that. I don't know why I thought it took only from 7 - 9 days and I was going crazy thinking maybe they sent it and it got lost, or something. Thank you for answering!

Ok It's been 16 days now since my NOA1 and still no Biometrics, is this normal???
I am trying to be as calm as possible but I have heard cases where they appoint Biometrics and people don't get their letters and then they miss the appointments. I've already have had enough complications, so I don't want this to happen to me.
Should I start calling and asking why haven't I received the Biometrics yet?

I am in the states and yes, everything its way faster now than 3 years ago...
Zachm611, biometrics app means "fingerprints appointment", they take your fingerprints and pictures for your work authorization and green card... They run your fingerprints with the FBI to check if you are a bad boy/girl a nd once that its done, ur work autoruzation its approved almost automatically, i read other sept. Filers forum and a few people there has gotten it already -some of them have already done it too-
I still haven't received mine either. I just checked and they touched the application on 10.08.2010

We are July - September filers.
Still waiting for Biometrics letter.
Good luck to all of you!

Go to "sign up for case updates", create an accout, add you case numbers to your "portfolio", select the notifications and you will see it.... Every time they change the "last updated" date it means that they were working on it the last day indicated... That its a "touch"...

Hey! I'm from Uruguay too! I filed for AOS in Sep. Hope things go smoothly for you guys!

You have to call the institution. Rules vary from institution and state. Some states let you study without a Greencard. Here in VA you need GC if you want to attend university. So make sure you make that call and ask whether you can enroll while you're adjusting status. Good luck!

Hi all! We received the NOAs on the mail today!!! So excited!!!
Now I have one question, there's Biometrics for both (I-485 and I-765), will they be done separately?
Thanks again for all your patience with us.

Good news everyone!
Today I received 4 e-mails and 4 sms with regards to our I-485!!! Yay!
Hopefully we will be receiving the I-797C soonish!
So happy!!!

What was the reason of your 2nd I-485 rejection?Did you do anything different the 3rd time you sent the I-485?
I hope things will work out for you this time!!!Good luck!!!
Hi Juliava! The reason for the second one is as follows:
We went for our InfoPass and the woman there told us to attach to I-485 an I-130 and to explain on the Cover Letter that they already had the money for it. So basically we were filing for everything again in hopes that both packages would meet up somewhere along the process. My suspicion is that USCIS didn't read our cover letter because the package was returned because one of the payments was missing (the I-130 one)
The day after we had mailed that I-485 we received the I-130 NOA (by sms and e-mail) so once they had rejected our second I-485 we waited for the physical I-130 NOA and we photocopied it, attached it to the I-485 and on the cover letter explained that we had already applied for I-130 and that we were attaching a photocopy of the I-797C
Fingers crossed this time will be the last time that I send this package.
Thanks for your support!

Thanks to all of you! I will update again once we have more news!
Once again, thanks for all the support!

More updates hubby and I sent out (for the third time) our I-485 and so I pray and pray that this time it'll go through.

I'm not sure. But I think it depends what for.
I sent a copy of my birth certificate with the packages, but I keep an original with me for the interview, just in case.

Congrats!! As Kathryn says now enjoy your pregnancy!!

Harpa, I received several e-mails from USCIS and until now I had no clue why they kept e-mailing me. Reading back one of them says that the I-130 was transfered to NBC. Is that good? Does it mean they were matching up my I-130 with the I-485? And could it possibly be the reason why the took so long to schedule a Bio appointment?
Thank you for all your support throughout! I am sure I'll still need support to keep sane, but I'm a bit relieved now!
Thanks!
