Here is my husband and daughter's experience at the USEM Manila for Visa Interview...

O710 AM Theyre at the USEM ground, the guard aske for their appointment letter and ID before they were allowed to get inside the building. Then they followed the Immigration arrow.. and they were greeted at the reception and given their priority number of 6077. The receptionist again looked for their appointment letter and passport if they still have it, on my husband's case he told her its with the medical result from the SLEC and showed my daughter's passport since he' s the one bringing the medical result of my daughter( failed to reached their cut-off time last July 15 at SLEC).

_ Waited for an hour or two then theyre names were called for fingerprint scanning( husband only) no fingerprint scanning for kids, then they asked my daughter her name and date of birth but she is a shy girl and didint answer it... her dad kept telling her to answer the questions but to no avail.. so the they told them to wait for their number to flash on the screen, however after 30 mins they were called back again at the fingerprint scanning section coz they really want my daughter to answer the questions directed to her previously am glad my daughter was able to answer for her complete name and birthdate at this time.

_Waited for another hour before they were called... this time it was at the Prescreening Section.. the Filipina lady was quite strict... she was looking for the documents(supporting evidences of Identity/proof of relationship) and asking questions at the same time:

-multiple pictures with the petitioner over a significant period of time ( she never specified how many)

-DS230 updated and signed

-cards and letters( prescreener really wanted letters and not cards only, but we didnt have any but I wrote my husband a note when I sent

him additional documents via fed-ex and she found it on the envelope and she was the one who said..yes you do have a letter from ur

wife and my hubby said its only a note)

-birth certificates for us 3

-marriage certificate ( she returned our original form from the NVC packet and asked for a photocopy only)

-money transfers, phone bills, email and chat logs, and prepaid cards

-asked the petitioner's age when I left the country for US

-hubby's age when he entered the US as B2 Visa

-our age when we got married

-places my husband travelled outside the country ( he was scolded by the lady coz he forgot to mention our travel to some Asian countries

for our vacation, he only mentioned his US business trip, and she found it out at my hubby's old passport )

-old passports ( this is where she found out our travel to Thailand and Singapore that my hubby forgot to mention when she asked

travels outside the country) it was an honest mistake...

-US visa extension docs like the I-94, the application for extension, and the approval notice

-my daughter was funny coz she did number 2 on her diaper while the prescreening was still ongoing and my husband excused themselves

to the bathroom to changed her, however they waited for them to comeback and continued the screening. It was the longest part for them.

anyway, they were done and waited at the waiting area for their turn for the CO visa interview

_Waited for another 30mins before they were called for their final interview, the CO was a nice and pleasant lady she asked my husband's name and they were seated, and told them she will get back to them. after few mins , she asked my hubby if what language would he be comfortable for the interview and he told her, English will be fine. Next was the Oath taking and with raising the right hand of course before the interview begun.. and here were the questions( pertains most about our relationship):

-where did u meet with ur wife? at the neighborhood since childhood

-how old is ur daughter? 5yrs

-so u work in Lexington, KY and ur B2 visa was extended? yes

-did u work outside the Philippines other than the Lexington, KY? no

-the CO was looking at our pics( she commented on one of the pics which was our wedding pic with the Justice of Peace on his beard, and

just said, his beard is interesting and laugh)

-what is ur wife's job?

-petitioner and her job?

-how long u were married?

-how long u been together? and my husband told her not very long since we were apart from each other and the CO said, " I understand

your situation, it must be very difficult for both of u and ur daughter." and my husband was teary-eyed when he heard her

comments.

-and to end the interview, the CO finally told my husband, " I have no problems approving your visa, you can go back to the waiting area

and wait for ur name to be called from Window Y for visa delivery instructions." There were no questions asked for my daughter she was

just an audience to the final interview.... :dance: Yeheyyyy.. Thank you Lord Jesus Christ...

but it was already 12noon so the windows were closed and they will reopen at 1pm after lunch break.

_Hubby had his lunch and back to the USEM at exactly 1pm, brought along our daughter just in case she will be needed. From window 15 now,

they gave my hubby the PINK SLIP and proceeded to Air21 area and paid the amount of Php 250+ for each visa, so he ended up paying about Php 500+ for the two of them. they said it will take maximum of ten days to deliver the visa depending on how fast the USEM processing.

Thank GOD for everything... Praise be our Lord Jesus Christ for helping us on our journeys.. to all of us here in VJ's , goodluck and God bless us all...

oh ok..so better start look for cheaper ticket, i think your hubby can get some rates for first time immigrant rates. I was able to check on some travel agent in cebu and the cheaper

one is from Southwinds Travel. Yes i will have to go back and accompany them back. My son is only 1 yr old and cant imagine just the 2 of them. My plan is 2nd week of Septmeber.

I already sent the number with his name on it.. thats what am gonna do now.. checking cheaper airline ticket and planning to get a new apartment with 3 BR am stuck here with one now..so I really need to transfer..i will surely try Southwinds...anyway, will try to book last week of Sept.. hopefully, I can get a good rate..

am sooo happy now...I was awake all night anxiously waiting for them to finish the whole process.. am gonna write all the experiences theyve been through in USEM Manila but as of now haven't spoken to my hubby yet re the interview details coz they were exhausted with the whole thing and then after the interview they only have an hour and a half to pack up and catch their flight back to Cebu... but I already have their experience in the forum.. what i meant is the medical interview at the SLEC... u can start browsing it...

My husband and daughter just finished their medical interview in SLEC last July 13 and 15. The came in around 11am from Cebu and it was raining hard coz of the typhoon that was coming to the area. Anyway, straight from the airport they checked in to their hotel, which was within the vicinity of the clinic and the embassy. Nevertheless, they had a quick lunch and after that they proceed to SLEC around almost 2pm. They were accepted to start their medical processing without any hassle. No lines.. .. absolutely. Thank God for that.

Here are the process they went through inside the clinic:

-at the ground floor, the guard ask for their appointment letter and passport and they were given a form (PDS) to fill up then proceed to the reception for verification, my hubby forgot to sign his passport so they called his attention for that and let him sign it as well as our daughter's passport

_ 2x2 pics were ask about 3 pcs and with complete name at the back of the pics, also the appointment letter with photocopy.

_ digital picture taken and also fingerprint scanning done for hubby only and data were encoded to their system.

_ after few mins of waiting , proceeded to the 5th floor for the medical fee payment( Php 10,027 for my husband and Php 8,711.45 for our daughter) this depends on the prevailing rate of the USD of the day.

_After paying the medical fee, proceeded to the 2nd floor for the immunization interview( Vaccines),this is where theyre gonna ask for the kids immunization record, our daughter went ahead with her Tuberculin Test and ouch my baby cried out loud, according to her , its so painful.. poor baby..

_after the TB test, their Vital signs, height and weight, eye test were done.

_back to the 5th floor, this is where my hubby was asked to get naked for medical exam and etc..

_after that experience... went to 4th floor for blood extraction (for hubby only).. he did not remember what the tests were taken out of his blood.

_back to 3rd floor for the Chest xray. waited a little bit for check out and when their names were called, my husband was instructed to come back after 48 hours (Thursday July 15) for the TB test reading for our daughter at 340pm and 1pm for my husband for the continuation of the medical interview exam.

_They were out from the clinic about 5pm. According to my husband, the wait is not too bad on the 1st day of the Medical.

JULY 15, 2010(Thursday) 2nd day of the Medical

_ Hubby came at 12noon for his 1pm appointment to 2nd floor. this is when he waited ( 2hours waiting) up to 3pm before they called his name, they asked for his passport. Waited again for an hour before he was called at the 2nd floor still for the immunization.. identity verified at this time too. so at 4pm, he had his vaccines done, there were 3 of them..Tetanus, MMR ( he's not sure on this one) and the varicella.

_After the vaccines given, proceeded to the ground floor for the released of the result.. here they asked his passport and they took it, they gave him his Xray CD( wow, I remember during my time..2006, it was a huge film they gave me) and his immunization report sheet.

_Voila he is done with his medical and everything went fine. Thank God. but opppssss, he needed to run back to the hotel to get our daughter back to the clinic for her appointment of TB test reading and the rest of the medical...Glad their hotel is closer.

_They were late for few minutes of her appointment, but God is so good they still accepted her.. so glad coz if not.. i dont know what are they gonna do.. Anyway, about 415 pm, my our daughter was at the second floor for the TB test reading, and guess what...It was negative. another,

Thank you Lord. the staff could'nt believed it was negative so they kept asking my husband if was the same spot where they injected it and of course, my husband and daughter was 110% sure it was the same site. I guess they were expecting it to be positive.

_ Anyway, since it was negative(TB test), no chest Xray required and our daughter received her vaccines: flu shot and varicella and again my hubby was not sure of the 3rd one..

_after the immunization they went to the ground floor for check out and released of the result. they asked my daughter to write her name and dad signs it too. however, my daughter's medical result wasn't able to reached their cut-time so they gave it to my husband along with her passport on a sealed envelope. they instructed him to bring the medical result to USEM on the day of the interview and made sure he is not gonna open it.

Finally, the medical exam was done and no problem with it.. Thank you LORD JESUS CHRIST for EVERYTHING.... Will post the Visa Interview experience later.. they were just finished about an hour ago... I still need to ask them for their experience..

its included on the medical fee..so no additional payment for the vaccines..it took them 3 days coz i have kid that had the TB test and will be read after 2 days..for adult, its ok if u dont have immunization record..its most important for the children..

Right.. so if u have a child...it will take 3 days to complete the medical.. esp if there is no problem. TB test is on the first day and will be read after 48hours so you should be back on the 3rd day for reading..if negative then immunization will be done..if positive, xray will be done..
