Hello Everyone, Just like to thank you all for the help, info and prayers. My family had their interview last Wednesday and their immigrant visa was approved. Thanks a lot. HI VJ FAM! YESTERDAY WAS OUR VISA INTERVIEW AND EVERYTHING WENT WELL AND GOT APPROVED!!!

I WANT TO SHARE OUR EXPERIENCE VERY BRIEFLY COZ EVERYTHING WENT BY SOOOOOO FAST =) NO HASSLES!!!

WE ARRIVED AT THE USEM AS AROUND 6 AM SINCE OUR SCHEDULE IS 7 AM AND BY THE TIME THAT WE ARRIVED WE WE'RE ASKED TO GO INSIDE AND SCANNED OUR THINGS. I AM WITH MY DAUGHTER AND MOTHER SINCE I HAVE A 3 YR.OLD BABY AND PREGNANT MY MAMA WAS ALLOWED TO GO INSIDE AS WELL.

AT 6:15, WE WE'RE ASKED TO FALL IN LINE TO A BOOTH AND HAVE OUR DS230 PREPARED, 3 2X2 PHOTOS AND APPOINTMENT LETTER AND AFTER THAT THEY GAVE US A NUMBER AND THEY LET US SIT BY THIS TIME.

AND AT 6:40, THEY CALLED OUR NO. FOR THE FINGER SCANNING. NO FINGER SCANNING FOR CHILDREN.

AND EXACTLY 7 AM, MY NO.WAS CALLED AT WINDOW 24, A VERY NICE FILIPINA LADY WAS SEATED AND STARTED THE QUESTIONING.

- WHAT IS YOUR FULL NAME?

- WHEN IS YOUR BDAY?

- WHAT IS YOUR DAUGHTER'S NAME?

- BIRTHDATE

- PETITIONER'S NAME

- BIRTHDATE

- HOW,WHEN AND WHERE DID YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND MEET?

- WHAT YEAR DID YOU GET MARRIED?

- AND THEN SHE ASKED FOR PICS,REMMITTANCES AND EMAIL/LETTERS.

AND AFTER THAT, SHE SAID THAT WE HAVE TO SIT DOWN AGAIN AND WAIT FOR OUR NO. TO BE CALLED FOR THE FINAL INTERVIEW.

AT 8 AM, WINDOWS FROM THE CO ROOMS ARE NOW OPEN. AND 5 MINS LATER WE WERE CALLED AT ROOM 37(IM GUESSING ON THIS) NAKALIMUTAN KO NA UNG ROOM NO.

WE ENTERED THE ROOM AND AN AMERICAN, TALL, WHITE AND BALD GUY GREETED US GOODMORNING =)

HE ASKED FOR MY NAME,BDATE,DAUGHTER'S NAME,BDATE,PETITIONER'S NAME AND BDATE. AFTER ANSWERING, HE MADE US RAISE OUR RIGHT HAND INCLUDING MY MOM AND MADE US SWEAR THAT ALL THAT WAS WRITTEN IN DS230 WE'RE ALL TRUE AND MADE ME SIGN THE 2ND PART.

AND HE JUST ASKED WHATS THE WORK OF MY HUSBAND AND WHEN IS THE LAST TIME THAT HE VISITED US. AND ASKED HOW WAS OUR ROADTRIP FROM TARLAC. HE ALSO ASKED ME ON WHERE DO I WANT TO GIVE BIRTH AND I SAID THAT I WOULD LIKE TO DELIVER MY BABY HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES AND HE SAID THAT VISAS HAVE TIME VALIDITY AND I SAID AS SOON AS WE GET THE PASSPORT FOR MY NEWBORN WE WILL FLY TO THE US. AND HE SAID OK, I DONT SEE ANY PROBLEM WHY I CANT APPROVE YOUR VISA. SO CONGRATULATIONS YOUR VISA IS APPROVED AND WELCOME TO THE USA. HAVE A SAFE DELIVERY! AND WE SAID THANK YOU! HE ASKED US TO SIT AND WAIT FOR OUR NAMES TO BE CALLED FOR THE FINAL INSTRUCTIONS.

NOW WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR ABOUT AN HOUR, AND FINALLY WE WERE CALLED AT WINDOW Y AND GAVE ME THE PINK SLIP AND FILLED UP THE DELIVERY FORM FOR AIR21 AND PAID 270 EACH FOR ME AND MY DAUGHTER. AND FINALLY WERE DONE

WE WERE OUT OF THE EMBASSY AT EXACTLY 9:45.

AND TO ALL WHO ARE GOING TO HAVE YOUR INTERVIEW, DONT GET SO STRESSED COZ ITS LIKE A PREPARATORY EXAM. NO SWEAT AT ALL =)

hi...chakadoll...i've also read ur other post abt ur husband and daughter's interview experienced...this mean a lot to us,,,this is very informative..unfortunately, i hav a problem w/ my medical but my kids were all done w/ their immunization and stuff..just praying always that my medical will turn out to be fine but our supposed to be interview date on aug.13,2010 will be moved 2 mos fr now..guess we hav to stay for a couple of months....again,,i'm happy for you..

Hello Summer, thanks for reading my posts.. anyway, dont worry bout ur medical as long as u follow what they advised , then u should be ok after two months..just hang in there, 2 months will fly faster.. am also waiting for two months to fly home and be back here in US with them.. Goodluck to you and keep praying..God bless you too.. anyway, how about ur kid's interview? ive heard that the medical will only be good after a month? correct me if am wrong.. did they went to the US embassy for the schedule even if without ur medical result or they reschedule them too?

Wonderful news indeed. I am happy for you and your family. I bet you can breathe easy now, though i doubt you will until you are together with your family.. hee hee.. I hope its before Christmas. Well no updates yet. For me its the 8-week waiting period, have to find out whether they've forward the case to the embassy.

Mitch, good to hear from you again and that's good news indeed. Finally you can go forward with everything; and ill bet on it Mitch, they will be here this Xmas. Lately NVC processing is just unbelievable. Just read a post from Odne, her case was completed after 3 days from DS230 submission.

Wife and sone are done with the medical last month and interview will be this coming august 26. Can't wait for the big day..so please pray for me. i need all the prayers that i can get.

Ddnt hear anything from Chakadoll the past few days, i think shes preparing for her trip next month and the baby plan as well.

I was only away for few days from a short vacation.. and I've read a lot of good news from anybody..So nice to hear that for the most part everyone's case is actually moving faster than expected..

after my husband received the approval notice..i got an assigned case number from NVC after two weeks...i'm not sure though if it happens to everyone..

Odne, thats ok now, its quite a bit faster nowadays compared to my time since NVC was processing slow.. but at this point of time, we are so lucky that they are back on the ball game... so cheers to that.. NVC is working faster on every case.. thats y the wait is not that long compared to the one applying years back..

How long is it taking NVC these days to receive case after the date of approval? Any idea Chakadol or other folks?

it depends actually.. like on my case at the time NVC processing was slow, I got the approval notice from USCIS last August 2009 then the NVC assigned me a case number about Nov same year then January 2010 was the time that the NVC started collecting fees(AOS/IV fee) and the rest was history..

And today, it should not be any longer since NVC is processing faster than my time.. so goodluck on your journey, it should be closer..sooner

Guys what will happen if my ds230 is at NVC already and my AOS documents is not yet in NVC... i need your ideas vj family.

NVC will sent u an RFE/checklist via email or letter that will be looking for ur AOS as lacking documents..furthermore, NVC cannot complete ur case if AOS is lacking.. it will delay the processing.. so once ur $70 fee showed paid online..go ahead and prepare the documents and once its ready mail it..

Next week is my husbands appointment im so nervous he wont get it... thing is i don't know what he needs you guys know when you get the appointment letter there is a page of the documents and the status do i go by what the status says or should i just go and get the documents all over again and get them certified... Just go ahead and prepare an a copy too, they might look for it on the prescreening or the CO , even if the packet says they have it..they asked for our marriage certificate even if they have it from NVC..that way u can present it when they will ask for it.. does anyone know anything about the visa category 'FX' . My wife's category is supposed to be F2A (wife of PR), but it is listed as FX in the appointment schedule posted by consulate (similar as given below). You can see f2a and fx on same list for differnt case numbers, but not sure what is the difference?

Im so excited na Kathleen, cant wait for them to be here..im just so happy that everything went well during the medical. The doctors and nurses were so accomodating to my son, maybe coz his still 1 yr old. Instead of letting them wait for hours for his PE and Vaccination, they just set an appointed time for him late afternoon. So it took them just an hour to complete everything (PE and immunization). And what really surprise them the most....even with six shots he was not crying..hehehehe

I think so.. because he is only one year old..luoy pud au if they let the baby wait for so long.. thats what they say they might have some considerations in a certain circumstances.. very lucky jud.. isog diay au imo baby boy ky la man nag cry...liwat siguro sa daddy... its less than a month now and that they will have their interview pohon.. am sure very excited ka kaau... Not.. it says you have lived for at least 6 months since reaching the age of 16 years old... meaning 16 yrs old up to now..the adulthood.. not the childhood.. and dont forget to tell ur friend to check the police clearance re this..

yeah... she was over 16 when she worked abroad for 3 years i think..

then she needs to write it down on her DS230.. take a look on the question #30 it says to list all the places you have lived for at least 6 months since reaching 16..

and FYI, we got an RFE on this part coz my husband failed to list the place where he was already 16yrs old but stayed only 5 months and yet they still able to take a look at it..

Hello VJ Family with regards to my friend status she work abroad but when they applied for her they did not state that she works abroad. its 4 and 6 months passed now and staying in phils.... she was confused if she still put on the ds230 that she worked abroad. because on the ds230 asking to least the places you been employed for last 10 years... please i need your opinions... share with me please if you have a idea regarding to this thanks...

How long does ur friend stays/works abroad? am guessing she must be over 16 yo at that time right? coz if she does stays/works abroad over 6 months and is 16 years old then she needs to write it down in her DS230,

does the embassy really require chat/email logs? hubby and I use skype as well.

The prescreener lady asked our chat/email logs so my hubby was able to present it it to her. if ur on skype go ahead and have a screen shots of ur conversation or call logs.. and if u really dont have chat/email just tell the lady what ur into with communication..
