  1. Ok...so I finally got through to the NVC and they said that my case was received but I have to give it 6 to 8 weeks until it's loaded into the system and then I'll hear from them at that point! She wouldn't even take my e-mail address! Has this happened to anyone else here ??? What is going on?

yes. They say 6-8 weeks but usually it takes 2-3 weeks from your NOA2 approval date. They will not take the email address as they dont have a case number for you. So once you get your case number, they will take the information.

  2. Have a great trip Jesal and don't forget about us!!! I hope your trip to India happens to be a short one :)

    Good luck everyone this week.

John- You can;t get your case number until my co-sponsor gets the papers I sent them and we review them and everything is good :P J/K...jeez wouldn't that suck for you! Don't worry...you will still beat me!!!!!

Teya - with the way my luck is running, I don't think I will come close to beating you. Now its offcial my wife is not getting her interview call till jan or feb. Don't even have the case number yet and it seems as if I have been tagged at every stage to "delay this file..delay this file". Those r my wife's words and I seem to b agreeing with her now. Oh well I guess gotta deal with it.

Good to hear ur case will be moving forward soon. :)

  3. I wish everyone the best of luck through NVC!

I am off to India and not coming back till i can bring the wife with me, whenever that is. :innocent:

Hey man..have a safe trip and do come or email me ur phone number.

johndoe12, if they received your case, they should already have your case number. Are you checking AVR? I think if you talk to an operator, the will have the number. From a logistical point of view, I doubt a case is received without a case number being assigned. But NVC never goes with what logic dictates anyway, so I can be wrong.

i am checking the AVR and also spoke with an operator. They keep saying that to me. :(

  4. Talked to Ruth (very nice!) and I just knew it. . . . . RFE!

sorry to hear that Greg. I hope you have everything you need with you while you are or while u visited ur spouse. Good luck and keep us updated.

Yeah and if I don't get email or text than, by next week.. I should be able to see a hard copy......in my mail box....man...i m excited....

Oh and by the way those two approvals were 15th april NOA-1 date.

Keep me updated on the bet going on? If there is one :D

  5. UPDATE........first of all thanks to marie_yahya...for your information on Ruth Mills. It worked out this time.

My spouse just got off from the phone after talking with Ruth. She is friendly and told us that our case is currently with one of the IO officer. and Because our case is 5+ months, so she told us that she will send out an email to that officer so that he can do all the best to speed up the work. But she clearly said she can only request, rest is in officer's hand. Not only that, she said she will follow up on this or if not, we can call her back in next two weeks. Let's hope for the best.

She also asked my wife that I can see that you have a travel plan coming up in Nov. and also Ruth mentioned my spouse's email address while on the phone, so upon asking she replied she also received our congressman's letter.....because we never mentioned that my spuose is having a travel plan in nov. while talking on the phone. She said we can expect an approval OR RFE, if not approval, in another two weeks.

So finger's crossed......now I think that touch on 20th sep in my case, means something because it looks like our case is with the officer since then..... :star:

good to hear that something is going on. Most likely u will hear soon. When i called, i got a decision in 2 days. So good luck and hope u get something soon.
