Trust me it's better when you call them.Hi and sorry for asking, I'm not there yet but would like to know if it is mandatory to call NVC for get the case number. They don't send a letter or an email sending that information? I'm just curious.
Thanks

That's just the beginning. You still have to go through the NVC stage. The NVC will then schedule an appt with the embassy for the interview upon case complete. Congratulations and good luck.

Thanks penguin. But does everyone now need to prove domicile in the US regardless of status here? I mean whether he's here or went overseas to visit, or was living there full time?

October 13,2014
Is the earliest filing date. That's when the 90 day window is open.

Just a quick question..my friend's husband is overseas. He went to visit her in February and hasn't come back yet. They're putting the Affidavit of support together, and are wondering if the husband(US citizen) needs to proof domicile. He only went to visit and wanted to hopefully come back to the US with his wife if and when she gets a conditional residency. What type of proof can he use if he should prove domicile?
Thank you

Wife yes. Kids maybe if they are under 21 by that time. I'm not sure if the child ages out, he/she can still immigrate with parent?? Or if they're protected by the CHILD STATUS PROTECTION ACT if they turn 21 when the time comes?? Maybe someone else can help clarify in regards to this.

When did you move away from him?

Did you file an Identity Theft Affidavit form 14039?
-
You're saying your husband has been here in the US since 2010 and in 2013 left for 2 months and then came back?

Congratulations

Sorry about that. There is no appeal but you do have a chance to present your case in front of the immigration judge. If he is satisfied and convinced, he will approve your case for permanent residency.

Did he work 2011,2012, and 2013? Did he file taxes? You guys should have filed married joint or separate if that's the case.
-
Why are you worried? I think you'll be fine.
-
Probably working on your case or the system is probably acting up
You might get an approval soon

Hi. I think you have good evidences. It's good that you're including an affidavit from his dad. It could include that you guys are residing with him. Good luck. I don't think you need a lawyer. There are guides on this website that will help you. It's really good. If you have any questions regarding the process, I'm sure VJ members will help you.
And don't worry submit whatever you have.

You should have waited to be legally divorced. Then got married of course and then filed I-130. Go to a lawyer ASAP

I am so sorry if I came off as insensitive. I understand your frustration and your longing to be with your fiancé. I swear I didn't mean to sound like that. That's just the way it is with TSC. they're slow

As stated before, you need a really good lawyer. You have to go in front of the immigration judge. You would have a chance to appeal removal proceedings. I believe you have about 30 days to appeal and pay the processing fee, before the appeal is sent to Washington DC to the Board of Immigration Apoeals.
Good luck
Approved shockingly quick? what does it mean

And yes if you want to speed up the process it's mandatory to call them. I don't even know if they mail anymore, you can email but I heard it's taking them weeks before they respond. I don't know. It wasn't like that when my husband went through the journey
