We had the same situation at the interview, look at our timeline, you will see that it took about 3 weeks for us, each case is different so nobody can tell you how long it will take, in our case they didnt need additional paperwork and the only box checked was , wait for us to call you, like i see on yours. Seems to me you will be fine, tthey may have to finish some name checks or something to that nature, we were really nervous when it happened , but it all worked out in time, a little more waiting and you will get your visa, we called DOS to check in each week, and you can also check with 2GO to see if/when they get your passport with the visa attached, good luck and try not to worry.

If the CO gave you a white document, read it carefully and follow the instructions, if not, just wait a few days and contact 2GO by phone or track your passport on the 2GO website, the instructions are there on how to do it. good luck to you.

sounds like you are ok, did you fill out the form for the 2GO? did they give you a paper that says 221g at the top?

Last cyber monday i saw a great deal on a great laptop so i sent it to Mindanao, total shipping cost was almost $300, including the customs fees, which she had to pay on delivery, i used DHL cuz i had good luck with them always, although the shipping cost ate up my cyber discount, she still got a great laptop delivered quickly and safely. the ones she saw there were not as good and more expensive. i have a two part question for anyone who has done this, we are under AP, but today we discovered something is on the way to Nida, through online tracking at 2GO website, my question is, will the visa be listed as a "document", or will it say visa or passport?, part 2, what are the ods they will use @GO to send anything other than the visa? we were never asked to supply additional information, so it isnt a reply to something we sent, any info is welcome, thank you.

we are in the same situation, almost 3 weeks now, have they told you the naure of the AP?, i mean what exactly are they reviewing, i tried to get them to give me specifics, but they only told me it was normal processing, they kept the passport, the sent her to the 2go window to fill out papers, and we have heard nothing since, i know we must wait, but we would just like to know what we are waiting for, good luck to you guys and if you here anything let us know please, and we will do the same.

Well good for you, that you were asked to give a document, but in our case they don't need anything. . . so it is like "wierd" what do they need. But inspite all of this, we still have our love and commitment intact. Thank you for the reply dear.

No they did not ask us for anything, just said wait for them to contact us. I called back today with more specific questions, but got nowhere, they said its still under normal processing according to what they pulled up on our case. So i will read ore and call back in 1 week. no turning back.

Going thru the same thing right now too. I mailed them the missing documents and just awating their word.

Thats our problem, the missing document is not something we forgot or was lost, there is no paperwork requested from us, only, wait till we contact you. I will calll again with some advice i got from another post, till then still waiting and hoping for a speedy ending. And they kept her passport, btw.

Your story sounds almost identical to ours. I called DOS a couple days after the interview for answers about what was missing and they said its too soon to say and to wait for 2 weeks. The exact words were, some document was missing at end of interview, please let me know if you here anything, thanks, i will do the same, good luck.

MikelanNida: WOW sorry about the 221g... that is a bummer after everything.... Probably she mentioned you are between jobs, or on unemployment. this will make things tough. find a job as quickly as possible. She was probably asked what you did, and stated you were between jobs going on unemployment. This probably set off a HUGE Red FLAG. I wish you the best in the process.

How do you sleep at night when you have so much, and your fiance has so little? I think you have me confused with someone else, I have been at my job 11 years and i am covering 5 dependants on my I134 so i know its not my employment for sure on the 221g, anyway good luck and i hope everything works out for you

I feel your pain, everyone here feels they waited longer than necessary, no matter how long they waited, It took us ! week short of 6months from NOA1 to NOA2, We finally had our interview on June1 and got a 221g! nothing checked but, wait for us to call! We dont know how much longer it will take, its been 8 months now since NOA1, my fiancee is from mindanao also.So keep your chin up!

yes, that is the number i used, and i was on hold about 10 minutes, then i got to talk to a visa specialist, good luck to everyone in this situation.

Yes, i will call again in a few days, I called june 3 and they said it was too soon, nothing was entered into the computer about it being under APeither. Thanks for your help.

Ok so as of now i am going on unemployment until hopefully i can find a new job ASAP, I will be using my Brother in law to sponsor my Fiancee. Do i have to show at my fiancees interview i am collecting unemployment and if so will that look bad on her chances of being approved even if we are using a different sponsor?

What news from DoS Hotline ?

well this morning i found out from my fiancee that she DID in fact get a paper, 221g, and under administrative processing is the only thing checked, I talked to a visa specialist at Department of State and he said the case is still being reviewed, he said its not listed approved or denied yet and to wait a while for an update. So still no ral answers to this problem, any more input or similar situations are very welcome here, thanks again , i will do more research also.
