  1. Panda is so cute. Sorry to hear that he have Renal Dysplasia. How is he doing? George & Jezebel are also a cuttie.

Panda has good days and bad days. Evidentley Lhasa Apso's commonly have Kidney Disease. He's still a very happy puppy, he just sometimes has days where he vomits and won't play. He drinks a ton of water, too. We're simply cherishing the time we have with him. (L)

George and Jezebel are both rotten in their own special ways. :P

George is a bit bigger now at 12 wks old, and we've cut all Panda's hair off. Jezebel is completely evil (4 yrs old), George is insane, and Panda (11 months) is my love-bug; he's got the kidney disease Renal Dysplasia. I love my babies, and can't wait til we move to a house with some land so I can get a couple sheep, a cow, a horse, and some chickens!! :luv:

  3. Print this out, highlight a couple of appropriate sentences, and leave it on his desk for him to find.

It's got the big eagle on it. Should shut him up.

Hmm...I might just do that. Maybe I'll bring all our immigration papers to work one day, and "work" on some stuff so he can see. Then if he asks again, I'll show him everything.

Thanks so much, everyone, for all your kind words. :luv: I'm feeling much better this morning, even though every time my boss says something to me, I wanna give him a piece of my mind, lol! :P

  4. You’re boss deserves a good slap for the crime of believing this wannabe “expert” that has what background in immigration law :hehe: ? Probably none in regards to filing an I-129F with the Texas Service Centre that gets transferred to California and then attending a Medical in Edinburgh and after all that an interview in London for a K-1 Visa! Don't forget the hotels, flights, trains, taxis and of course the trip back home to the North of Ireland... All of which takes “money” and a lot of “time”! I’m far, far from an expert myself.. this process wasn’t and isn’t easy.. I only wish it was!

Your boss’ friend is an expert in talking $hite for that crime alone he/she deserves a good stiff kick in the stones for their trouble  .. you’re boss also deserves a good boot in the root for the crime of upsetting you.. which in turn upset me..

There’s a word to describe people like this “expert” where I come from.. a W***er is what they are!... I hate ignorant people! ;)

    :luv:

  5. Maybe he should come to this site to gain some real knowledge.

have him avoid this thread though......just sayin

    LOL. :P

Nah, I'm not gonna bring it up again. I don't have anything to prove, and I don't want it to seem like I'm desperate for him to believe me. But if he asks me again, I'll be ready with more information. I'm just sad that he doubted me in the first place. It hurts when people judge your character.

  6. Just tell your boss 'yeah, i'm lying...I'm actually choosing to live apart from my husband'

    DUMBASS!

Well see, that's just it...we're going through the adjustment of status process...we've already gone through the separation. So it's not like I need time off to go visit Aidan or anything, in fact, I don't need anything at all! We did this all by ourselves, we finally sent away his AOS documents...we're almost done. I don't complain about it, I don't ask for things...I just answered his questions, ya know? My husband's pretty upset too, he's more angry though, I just feel bad. :(

  7. wonder why he brought it up........does he think you want some more vacation time or something like that? strange

That's why I'm so upset...I mean, does he think I was telling the story to get bonuses or something? Gimme a break! I just thought he was genuinely interested. :(

  8. A couple weeks ago, my supervisor at work asked me about the process of moving Aidan to America and getting married. He seemed genuinely interested, so I told him the whole story. The fees, the forms, the time apart, the plane tickets, the tears, everything. I usually don't go into any major details when people ask about this process, but this time I did. *shrug* I guess I just felt like telling the whole scoop. Normally, I don't even bring up anything about this whole process unless asked.

Anyway, fast forward to today. My supervisor came into my office (and don't get me wrong, my supervisor is an awesome boss, I have no beef with him) and said he had to ask me something. I thought it was about work and said ok. So he goes into this big story about how he has a friend who's "really into the immigration thing". He said he and his friend were on the topic, so he told his friend all about his employee whose husband is from Ireland (me), and how difficult it was to get him here. He told him about the fees, the forms, the time apart, the plane tickets, and the tears. He basically told this friend the exact story that I told him. Cool, I thought. Maybe people will start to become more aware of legal immigration.

Turns out it's not so cool. This friend then proceeeded to tell my boss how his employee (me) was majorly exaggerating, and that the process wasn't nearly as drawn-out as I was making it to be. He basically told my boss that I was lying, and for what purpose, he did not know. And the way my boss was presenting this information to me suggested that he believed his friend.

My mouth must have dropped open, and I don't know how many seconds passed before I was able to gather my thoughts and speak. When someone basically accuses me of something, I seem to go into a very mild form of brain-shock. I stutter, fumble for words, and seemingly look guilty. I tried to say that this totally wasn't true, that if there was an easier way to get Aidan here, rest assured we would have done it like that! I wanted to tell him how much we suffered being apart from each other, how so many other people that I know (here on VJ!) suffer being apart from each other. How expensive this all was, how we couldn't afford to adjust Aidan's status, how we wondered if we could afford bills/groceries/gasoline. I wanted to scream at him for making it seem like I was untruthful when I told my story...

But I couldn't. I couldn't because I was too busy fighting back tears and angry words. And I thought to myself...why bother. He wouldn't understand anyway...no one that hasn't gone through this could possibly ever understand.

  9. We are in exactly the same situation. Aidan didn't drive in Ireland, and is planning on taking the test for his permit soon. We just now sent in our AOS paperwork, even though his I-94 expired in February.

We do, however, have our NOA1's, so we'll try to use them to show that Aidan's not *really* out of status anymore.

But if it doesn't work, we're going to have to wait for Aidan's EAD.

    Good luck! :luv:

  10. All this talk of chocolate is making my mouth water!

Galaxy is by far the best chocolate on the planet. The only chocolate I'll eat here in the states is Dove.

And I really, really, REALLY miss chocolate covered Turkish Delight, that expensive 75p per bar one that you get at Iceland and Woolworth's. :crying: Aidan says it's old people candy, but I love it! :P

  11. My husband said he's heard that if a woman cums b4 the guy, then it's a girl. If the guy cums b4, it makes a boy..

    Oh my. That's graphic.

That said, if you read "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler, she explains how timing intercourse during the first or second half of your fertile time can possibly determine whether your child will be a boy or a girl. She does state that it is still theory, but also presents some scientific evidence on how this could be true. :)
