Just my opinion..But it really bugs me when people start calling they're congressmen after waiting only 5 months or so,why don't you just hang on untill you actualy have something important to deal with,unstead of the trivial "I waited 5 months now lets call in the army!" this doesen't happen overnight folks,It's a long drawn out process mine took over a year and I never called my congressman..relax and have some patiance.

Uhhh..The thing is..it is what it is..It took me over a year just to get a fiance visa...There were times I wanted to pull my hair out it was so frustrating..But it is a system,not a perfect one,but then who's is??...You know that phrase.."you can't please all of the people all of the time" applies to the immigration system very well..This country owes your Fiancee absolutely nothing..but it is trying to accommodate you..don't you agree??..For that you should be grateful..Once again,you always have the option of living in Russia,maybe they're immigration system is easier?..If it's here you want to live..Then it's USCIS rules you have to follow...take a deep breath.

It's probably just me,but why the depression?..you've been apart all your lives because you never met each other..whats an extra 6-7 months???..talk on the phone..talk on the computer,be happy and look forward to your marriage...It took us over a year from the time we send in the K-1 papers till the time we were approved for the K-1 visa,never once were we depressed,just looking forward to our lives together...and so far it's been everything and more..smile

Absolute no brainer...go for the CR-1...this being apart stuff after we're engaged..sheesh,cry me a river...I was stupid for doing the K-1..If i had known about the CR-1,I never would have done the K-1...

It's very rare but it does happen. I know of at least three known cases reported on this website.
