how is Ben doing Nessa? does he look like you or charles?
-
i've been so thirsty lately. i wonder if it has to do with bf
yes it is Nessa, make sure you have a glass of water when you are breastfeeding and keep taking sips
-
yup i had it. that's when he's engaged, ready to come.
did you find it worse at night Nessa, when you were laid in bed? sometimes it takes my breath away it hurts!

Thanks everyone about the name...we love it
@vi premies are different, Dylan would wake up every 2 hours to feed, been so little there stomachs are smaller and need to eat closer together than full term babys, its hard going but as they grow there stomach will expand and grow....just takes time

how can pumping stimulate the letdown? it's just like bf, if you keep doing it the milk will keep coming.
@chrissy: you're supposed to gaim that every week.
ok, I'm not sure if I understood you correctly. I thought there was an issue with engorgement. I had that and like you said, the more you pump, the more milk is produced. I had the problem that I had way too much milk but I was told to pump the first week because I had an infection and couldn't breastfeed Ben while on i.v. antibiotics (which was stupid because the pumping made the engorgement a lot worse and they fed it to him with a bottle anyways). Pumping overstimulated my boobs and just looking at the pump felt like someone was stabbing me with a knife about every 20 minutes when I had a letdown.
@Chrissy: are you having a c-section? When is the "appointment"? Hang in there!! Any names picked out yet?
my scheduled c-section is May 11th at 7.30 am!!! so excited but nervous! if we have a girl like we think it is, we have picked out the name Molly

good here. they gacve me this breastfeeding record to write down every time i bf, for how long, which breast, when he poops, when he pees, when i pump, etc.
i'll create a new one at excel cuz the one they gave me is just not done well.
hows little Ben sleeping? glad to hear breastfeeding is working out for you
-
good morning ladies! hows everyone doing?
-
i've been sleeping less than 4 hours total a day. they say enjoy now that u're in the hospital, but everything here sucks, the pain, the sleep position, the lights, the noise, the fact that even if he goes to the nursery so i can sleep, he'll be back in less than 3 hours, so that'll give me 2 hours tops to actually sleep. and i'm kind of paranoid with letting him out of my sight, i want him here all the time.
Everyones different i suppose. Have you decided if you'll get up to walk today?
-
awww congrats to you both, hes a cutie!!!
-
thanks. the pain hit me at 4am. i was doing fine, then i finally got a couple hours of sleep. i rolled over when i woke up and then it started to hurt like hel!, it made me cry. so i called the nurse and she said the last pain med they gave me was at noon, that's why at 4am i was in such pain.
take it easy miss! hows little Ben?
-
