I like this game of pretend you know what the bill will do.
Apparently the bill states the establishment of camps of which everyone who looks brown be dragged from their homes into them. True story.
Apparently the police are planting the drugs on these brown folk in an attempt to arrest them to rid America of them. True Story
Apparently the police will enter Mexico and drag people in Arizona, only to arrest them and send them back. True story.

Exactly. Because it screws over the 70% of America without a degree, these supporters are like what's the big deal. How about we open up the borders so the 350,000 Indians and Chinese graduating as engineers can freely enter the US? That way Steven will be forced to compete with someone who will do the same work for $10 an hour. Then come tell me how awesome limitless immigration is.

Exactly. Had there been no illegals, minimum wage would set the baseline and the market would most likely be forced to pay more; in order for people to do the work. This is not hearsay either as countries with a limited labor pool - like Canada and Australia - being a real life example of this in action.

So basically because the reporter has decided to use some idiots hysteria to push their article, it means the new laws are gestapo-esque in nature.

Actually it's not stupid at all. Like Steven, you refuse to carry out simple mathematics of your own and look at something. For example, Steven claiming they will pay fines, even when a majority of them cannot even afford to pay their child's $2 lunch. Doesn't take a CPA to put two and two together.
You still don't get it do you. Once these guys are legalized, the employers will simply hire a new wave of illegal aliens, as they did since the last amnesty. That is not merely opinion or hearsay it's bloody reality.
If it has no impact on the economy, then why did countries like Australia halve their legal immigrant quota after the crises started? I wonder how doing so worked out for them? Oh wait, they weathered the bloody global financial storm with a 5% unemployment rate. Furthermore, by the IMF's own admission, will lead the pack post crisis.
Forcing 20,000,000 illegal aliens to leave will save the US taxpayer billions in services they currently use. Furthermore, it will free up positions currently occupied by them for Americans. It's quite evident that doing so if of no interest to you. Much like your type destroyed the UK labor market pursuing some sort of save the world crusade, you want to do the same here. Naturally, its probably safe to assume you are in a job that is affected by these people.

Had Swedes wanted to attack the US then they would be rightfully screened. Common sense really.
Certain folks like to get angry at the system trying to protect itself rather than the actual perpetrator. The only way to be PC is to ensure everyone is tested. However, what fairness is there in that? Simply for the sole reason of ensuring the group most responsible is not harassed. Like saying the police should stop everyone when asking questioning a suspect, just so the suspect does not feel uncomfortable.
I wonder when in our society it become okay to inconvenience everyone for the sole sake of not offending the few. Some here clearly advocate we worry about the few being offended but totally ignore the feels or opinions of the majority being offended.

Ah Pike, still with your head in the sand. Their neighborhoods are already shitholes due to rampant crime and gangs. Not to mention, the sheer number of illegals still entering as we speak.
What about walking all over Americans and crapping on their sovereign nation for your own self gain?

The poor which includes the middle class just have to realize that they make up 90 per cent of the country; thus, have a huge say it what goes.
In most other first world countries, the majority have woken up, smelt the coffee and demanded they not be played like fools. Contrary to slogans, they are still capitalists but have just set rules of the game. For example, someone who works is paid a fair (livable) wage. As I have also pointed out before, between the 40's to the 70's the wealthy paid 90 per cent in tax. The economy not only did well but the wealthy still remained wealthy. Since then, they got extremely greedy and wanted even more; which has come at the expense of Americans. Furthermore, it somehow became cool to steal from your own people and call it capitalism. It became acceptable for CEOs to fire thousands, while increasing their pay. To export jobs abroad to save a dime, while totally destroying the country established for we the people. To earn 5 to 8 thousand times that of the worker.
The internaitonal first world model is not complicated at all. Once those working get paid a fair wage, companies / CEOs can earn whatever they like. People are taxed accordingly, which does mean gently (unnoticeable) skimming from the top, to assist those countrymen that are less fortunate. Something that ironically is also an investment because it gets those people off welfare and turns them into functional members of society. Win for the country, win for business. The wealthy and repubs here seem to have this third world-esque mentality of 'I am not giving anybody nothing'. Why do you think Australia and Canada is doing so well? Don't take my word for this success, just look at the US between the 40's and 70's; when the tax rate was 90 plus per cent.

Sorry Phil but it seems to work quite well abroad. Like everything, socialism has become a cliche here used to falsely brand something in a negative manner.
Republicans don't want any regulation, they don't want any reform, they just want to allow their buddies to kill off the unhealthy Americans. Yet these same people then have the nerve to wave the flag and mention the Constitution. It's these sort of shenanigans that has pushed me (a conservative) away from that party. I'm not some dumb #### who toes the party line, I don't #### my own countrymen for a profit; rather, I try to lift them up.
The revolutionary war was not fought from kings and queens to have a handful of wealthy doing the same damn thing. Then again, England simply overtaxed Americans, they didn't leave them to die for a profit. The rural republican needs to wake up and smell the coffee. From healthcare to war. Damn straight we went into Iraq so the wealthy could win lucrative contracts, while the poor from rural areas die actually serving the country.

Actually there is Steve, thus every other single first world country cracking down on it. We have discussed this before and thrown out a few figures which you refuse to acknowledge. Countless studies illustrate the billions they cost the US taxpayer and the enormous financial burden they place on states that have a large number of them; however, those actual quantifiable studies tend to be ignored by pro illegal aliens folks. You guys prefer the 'it's a good thing because we say it's good'. Otherwise why not let the entire world move here? Hey they will pay their taxes right.
It makes no financial sense whatsoever to allow unskilled and uneducated people to flood the market. Furthermore, it's downright discrimination to continue to allow one region of the world (Latin America), to dominate ~80% of the country's immigration.

Ali G. got a reaction from caybee in Why some people remove their laptop battery and plug directly on AC power to use it?
Having had this happen to me I researched it and spoke to HP, so here is the story.
If you are not going to use your battery and it's going to be attached for over two weeks straight, you should unplug it. Actually, you should charge it to 50% and then store it some cool. This will slow down the natural aging of lithium. On one of the laptops, which does not move, I sealed up the battery at 50% charge and keep it in the fridge - not freezer. Lithium loves cold temperatures. Obviously I keep it dry and ensure it does not short out.

Medicare works fine in every other civilized country. Why do you think that is? Nevertheless, you still don't get it do you. If the current system is so awesome, then why excluding third world countries, is there not one first world country that uses it? Before answering think of the five wheel example. Not only does Europe lead in health care but it also leads in pharmaceutical research.
