Congrats on your interview date.
Hi to everyone,
I just recieved our interview date today! June 11, 2010. i called DOS and found out. Mark and Carol you should find out your interview date today also.
I found out our interview date on Friday...it's June 17.
Good luck with your interview.

Yes, Mark, we are
That's excellent, Alex. I wish that I could do that, but not possible.
Enjoy the rest of your stay!

Mark - how's operation de-bachelor pad coming along? I gotta get started on that this weekend, in-between packing and whatnot..
The little boss is arriving in 75 days.. Hehe, running out of time..
Pretty good...I started several weeks ago and I'm taking one room at a time so that I am not overwhelmed. I still have more to do, but I should be ready when she arrives.
Good luck with completing your "home makeover".

Thank you, yea is it normal for it to go this fast, cause i wasn't even prepared for it today when i called. I thought hey there is no harm in giving them a call, and after I gave her the information she asked for she just said "yea it being mailed today". I was silent and said "excuse me"...haha. It was a great suprise seeming as though I will be going down there this Sunday. Again thanks
Yes, everything moves extremely fast after your NOA2. Get ready to fill out the Packet 3...it will save you time.
Have a great time while in Jamaica.

"Start calling Monday...the best time to call is 7 am or 11:30 pm. You will need your EAC #, beneficiary's name, birthdate, & email. Ask them when they received your petition, when they sent to embassy, and most importantly your new case #." Mark and Carol
I called today and the NVC is sending my case to Kingston as we speak. I was in shock cause they only had the petition for about 24 hours, and they also gave me my new case number.
Also i would like to apoligize for being rude towards you. I already apoligized to Мартышк+Мартышка and I feel I owe you the same. Thank You.
No worries mate...it's water under the bridge.
Great news...happy your journey is moving fast.
Good luck.

I called the DOS today and found out that our interview date is June 17...por fin!!!
At least I'll have plenty of time to plan for the trip to Bogota. My goal was for Carol to arrive at POE before July 4th...which is still attainable.

Hi Ken I spoke with my attorney a couple days ago and asked her if she would be helping me with packet 3 and 4 and she said yes. she already sent me the ds-230 form Juan Esteban has to fill out. I asked her if there is anything else from packet 3 that we will need to have ready and she has yet to give me an answer on that. Do you think you could help me out with that and just give me some tips on what other paper work we would need and stuff. thanks so much!
Bertha,
The following link in the Embassy Info tab at the top of this page should help you with completing Packet 3 & Packet 4 and answer you questions: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Colombia&cty=Bogota
Good luck.

Houston...we have an interview date!!!
I called the DOS today and our interview date is June 17...finally. At least I have more time to plan for the interview and get my house, as Jared put it, "fiancee-ready".
Hey PJ, I haven't seen yer wench lately...did you make her walk the plank for messing around with the Parrot?
BTW...after we complete our journey on the Rumrunner, we'll have to board a new ship for the AOS process. Everyone start thinking of a new name for our ship. For those crew members that are still onboard the Rumrunner, you can join us on the new ship at a later date...don't forget to bring the Parrot with you.

My case was just recieved by NVC yesterday the April 22nd. Should i just keep calling everyday to see what the process of my case is. Also what do I ask them?
Start calling Monday...the best time to call is 7 am or 11:30 pm. You will need your EAC #, beneficiary's name, birthdate, & email. Ask them when they received your petition, when they sent to embassy, and most importantly your new case #.

That's it. Visa in hand. POE - Friday, April 30th
Congrats Alex!! Now you can relax for a couple of weeks before the AOS process begins.
Are you both entering the country together?
-
Jenine,
Thanks for your comments. I was pretty bummed out yesterday, but I feel better today.
jj7000,
Thanks for your positive comments. I think 5/27 is full and the 28th & 31st are holidays...so I'm not as optimistic as you. I read that the cutoff is the 20th of each month. I truly hope that I am wrong, but if not I can wait 1-2 more weeks.

Hey everyone:
We had something odd (but good) happen. My fiance opened the mail in our London flat and Packet 3 was there! We thought we were at the stage of waiting for an NOA2 but obviously it was approved and sent to London via the NVC with no electronic or letter notification. So we are about a month further ahead than we thought we were.
Anyone have any idea how long (ballpark) it takes to get from Packet 3 return to interview in London? We are planning a wedding for 23 July in the USA.
Congrats on receiving your NOA2!

The embassy in Bogota released a list of scheduled interview appointments for the month of May. Unfortunately, we are not on the list
...looks like we'll have a June apointment. I've waited this long, I can wait another few weeks.
-
medical was completed today lucky I never had to have any more jabs, also posted packet three of so now the long wait starts again for a london interview date.
Congrates on the NOA2
Jenine,
Doesn't it feel good to complete another step of this long process? I'm there with you waiting for an interview date. I call DOS today and the embassy still has not scheduled a date. Carol faxed Pak 3 on 4/12 and the embassy received on 4/15...not sure where the Pak 3 was for 3 days, but you know how slow the wheel turns during this process. I guess I'm just an impatient American.
-
NOA2 Finally!!!!!! I thought this day would never come!!! Thank you God! After almost 6 years it looks me and Alyonushka will be together forever soon (LONG story)!
Captain. Would it be OK for me to pick your brain as to the next processes since I will be in Kiev about a month behind you?
Also folks, we still have some people on the RumRunner who have been below decks with me patiently waiting NOA2. I will be with the parrot still on board till they are all approved. We will leave no man or woman behind!!!!
Steve
Steve,
Congrats on receiving your NOA2!
The process moves very fast now.
Good luck.

what if I cant get a hold of them... Do I even HAVE to do it?
You don't have to call them because they will send you a letter in the mail with your new case number. I received mine in about a week.
If you call the embassy, you will need your new case number...so one way or the other you will need that new number. I called at 11:40 pm and waited for 15 minutes to talk to someone.
Good luck.

CONCRETE, don't worry if your wife can't find any records because both doctors are very strict about having the vaccines as recent as possible. Every now and then they'll accept old records but for most people their rule of thumb is that if they're older than 4 weeks, they'll tell them to get them done again, at their office only.
The vaccines your wife will need are TD, MMR and varicella if she hasn't gotten it yet. Tell her to call both doctors' offices to get an estimate of how much these shots will cost, then tell her to call other places like the Red Cross to see if it's cheaper for her to get them somewhere else. Some times it is, some times it isn't.
Diana
PanamaJack posted that the varicella shot was 2 shots and they had to be given 2 weeks apart. If you go to the doctor 2-3 days before the interview, then how can you complete these shots before the interview?
Thanks,
Mark

approved. Just got out from the consulate.
CONGRATS Captain!!!
What a relief...now you can really enjoy the rest of your vacation.
-
Thanks, I'm headed out in 2 weeks.. I am hoping she'll have visa in-hand when I get there.. We're going to spend a week between Manila, Bohol, and Davao City.. Unfortunately, she won't be coming here until July 7th which gives me just 59 days to get my place "fiancee-ready" before she arrives.
Jared,
It's funny to hear you say that you are getting your place "fiancee-ready".
I am doing the same thing...I guess we wouldn't make good "housewives". Our priorities are a little different from our fiancees.
Have a safe and enjoyable vacation.

Hi , how are you?
I think you will know your interview date by Wednesday of next week at the latest. I called the embassy on Wednesday and a lady told me to check the website like on the 20th to find out the interview date. I check everyday and call DOS.
I am good, thanks.
I called Carol today and asked her to go to the Internet Cafe to see if she has received an email about the interview date. I would like to know before the 20th so I can schedule vacation time, airfare, etc.
Thanks for the info!!

I called DOS today to find out our interview date. The embassy received the P3, but according to DOS, they haven't scheduled a date yet...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Hopefully, Carol has received an email with the interview date, because I have to make plans to fly to Colombia.
