Jim
Jim,
Happy to hear that. It won't be long now until you and Irina are together.
Good luck with the interview.

Congrats!!!
We'll keep the rum ready for you.

Hi all,
This is my first post in this forum. I received my NOA1 on the 22 of Dec. and had a touch recently on the 17th of this month. I thought it would be just a couple of days after the touch to get approved but still no word from USCIS. Any advice?
Thanks,
Jhon
As Soon2wed said, at this stage touches are good. Unfortunately, there is only one thing that you can do...check your case on the USCIS website to see if they have changed your status from Initial Review to Post-Decision Activity. If they changed your status to Post-Decision Activity then you were approved. You should probably hear something this week or next.
Good luck.

You're an American. That means you have plenty of cash to burn!
I told Leidys under no circumstances would I pay for a 2nd vaccine that she already had. The Peso stopped here!
The good thing about her completing her Vaccines in Colombia was that they were less expensive there than in the United States had we opted to complete her vaccinations here. It's all about those Benjamin's!
Ken,
Absolutely, not that I have plenty of cash, but yes...it's all about the Benjamin's. The next few months are going to be very expensive, so I need to save all the money I can.
Good luck with your AOS process!

We got an email notification stating our petition was approved! She should be receiving it in the mail soon! We are extremely lucky, and I keep expecting this to be some sort of cruel USCIS joke, but this came wayyy ahead of our schedule. Now comes the fun task of getting all the supplementary evidence together (shouldn't be too hard, considering our petition was 107 pages.. lol)
Good luck for everyone still waiting; don't lose hope! It will come!
CONGRATS!!
67 days is very fast.
Good luck with the rest of your journey.

Good luck.

Sorry for the missed call last night PJ, but 10pm is too late for a 1st shifter like me..
This is what we do in the December thread.. We Party Hard!
Jared,
OMG...when I was younger, that was me...PARTY HARD! Now, I have to pace myself cause I can't keep up with you young bucks.
-
Mark,
Thanks for all the great info Sunday.. It would be crazy if we both had an interview on the same day as I am only a few days behind you
I know all the best places to Party in Bogota.. The Hard Rock Cafe is one of them then they have a Hooters there also.
No worries mate, that's why we are here...to help out each other. That would be awesome to have the same interview date, cause I know nothing about Bogota. I was in the Bogota airport as a connecting flight to Santa Marta, but was not able to tour the city. Keep your fingers crossed and maybe we will get lucky and be in Bogota the same time.

Jenine,
NVC has our case. Got it between 14:00 EST (last time I called) 22:30 EST (just got off the phone)
So yours should be there too. Jared's and Jim's as well.
Drew's case is in NVC as well.
Thank you. I think we've been partying weeeeeeeeeeeell before we got our NOA-2s
That's great news Captain. I'm glad to hear that everything is moving right along for everyone.
C'mon VSC, we can't remain docked at the Land of NOA2's forever...we need to sail to the Land of Interviews, so hurry up and approve the rest of our crew!!! If you don't hurry...we will sail to Vermont and pilage and plunder the VSC! Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
-
I like watching this thread.. it moves a lot quicker than the January ones, that's for sure. Congratulations to all you very lucky NOA2 havers, I know this means good stuff for the January folks. You all must be partying it up.
It is a great feeling to receive your NOA2 and yes I partied for about one day, then started getting ready for the next step. Everything moves very fast after your NOA2, so it's best to get your documents and evidence ready now for the next step. I would say that you will probably hear something next month, cause the average wait time is around 100 days.
Good luck.

i would like to know who's gonna get a Packet 3? Me or my fiance? And what kind of forms can we expect to get?
Every embassy requires different documents for the interview process so check with the embassy in Slovenia for the proper documents.

@ Martyshk
Thanks for in the information.
I realized back then that i made a serious mental blunder by forgetting to including them. Hopefully they over look it.
As far as pics begin secondary. My reasoning being, should it not warrant more weight? All the pics taken i took were time/date stamped. I mean the pics included a formal engagement ceremony, family get together, birthday parites (both mine and hers), family dinners, religious holiday celebrations...etc.
I had the liberty to stay in Pakistan for 5-6yrs plus, reason being that i was studying there. If need be, i can even show them my Medical Degree!
If the RFE were needed, would i have not received it earlier? The timing is just bothering me. I was in the RFE forum and majority of the people that got an RFE received it well before 3months, some even within 3-4 weeks.
As far as USCIS website, my last touch was 12/10/2009. We are just hoping for any (positive ofcourse) response
I have seen several petitions in Nov. and Dec. receive an RFE after 3 months of waiting so you are not alone. VSC just recently picked up the pace of approving petitions after 3 months of 1 or 2 approvals per day. It's unforunate that you caused your RFE, but send back the info ASAP and include the other info for the interview. The USCIS is not as concerned about your evidence as the embassy.
Good luck.

dos anyone have an idea how vsc process this noa2? ive seem many people here getting noa2 from same countries. I am from brazil, did anyone from brazil got approved already? im mid december, 16th, so i am hoping to get my noa this coming week! cant wait i want to celebrate. really wanted to be in the usa by beginning of june. i still believe it will be possible!
have a great sunday and hope we get more and more noa2 this coming week!
When you receive your NOA2, the NVC assigns a new case number to your petition. The first 3 letters of your new case number will be the abreviation of the city where the embassy resides. For Rio De Janereiro it might be RDJ, I don't know. After they assign the new number, then they send it to the embassy. This whole process can take 1-4 weeks. Access the Embassy Info for Brazil at the top of this page for more info.
Good luck.

Good luck with the rest of your journey.

Matt
A BIG CONGRATS Matt!!! Very happy for you and Laddawan. Isn't it a great feeling? I felt so much pressure released when I received mine. Weird that you didn't receive an email.
Good luck with the next step.
I received my NOA2 hardcopy in the mail today also.

I leave in the morning to go to Paris for a visit with my sweet one. Hoping we might get good news while I'm there! I can dream right?
There is a very good chance that you will receive good news next week. If not, how can you go wrong spending time with your loved one in Paris?! Have a great time.
-
He said it got there yesterday so hopefully when I call back Monday they can tell me they have sent it to Juarez
Oh, OK. I hope you receive good news on Monday. Keep us posted.
-
I have a question for everyone. When logging into USCIS, has anyone received the message that their password is expiring and you need to change it?
The passwords must be good for 90 days.
-
Just fyi for those of you that will be calling NVC I called yesterday around 9:30am EST, busy signal for a while and then had to wait 25 minutes, this morning I called at 7:40am and was on hold maybe 1 minute before speaking to a very polite guy who gave me the new case # without asking and said to call back in a few days
Why do you have to call back? Haven't they sent your petition to the embassy yet?

To be completely honest, I think these doctors randomly pick the person they ask to get the vaccines again. There are many people who get them weeks in advance or just bring their vaccine records of the shots they got as children and they're ok'd by the doctor. Then there's others who are asked to get them again even if they got them days prior to the appointment. So, who knows. But as long as they approve and clear everything before the interview, all's good I guess.
Diana
Diana,
I guess it's a ####### shoot. I think that I will wait cause I spend enough money in Colombia and don't care to stimulate their economy at my expense!!!
I am going down a few days before we have to leave for Bogota and make sure that we are prepared for the interview. I think I will have Carol ask the doctor if we can get vaccines in Cali instead of Bogota.
Thanks,
Mark

Harold,
We're sorry to hear the bad news and hope you and Sandra will be okay. I read Ken's link and am pretty sure she'll get over it, and although this might (and probably will) delay her trip, your visa is still approved and that won't change. I say just focus on getting her better, which is what's important now, and then she'll get her passport with the visa and will be able to go live with you forever!
Best of luck to you and Sandra!!
And best of luck to Mark and Carol too! hopefully you will have your interview and the visa soon!
A little bit of news from us:
We got Cristian's passport with the visa and the envelope today (3 days after the interview) and are going to buy his ticket sometime during the day. Woo-hoo!! We're so excited!!
Thank you.
That's great Amour...very fast turn around. Very exciting to know that Cristian will be with you soon and para siempre.
Good luck.

Been watching the DHL website like a hawk today....
Saw one case went to Kiev... Hoping it's ours
So I'm on hold for an hour already with NVC hehe
BTW, saw Bogota there. Must be yours Mark
Captain Alex,
The one going to Bogota probably was mine.
I didn't check DHL cause I was expecting it to take 5 days for the NVC to receive.
Call Monday either early in the morning or late at night after 11:30. I called last night at 11:50 and waited 15 minutes.

Hell no Jim,
I got my info about the NOA-2 at 1 AM when I got home from work and started calling Colombia at 1:30 AM..She did not answer till 6:30 AM..
D@mn Drew...that is muy temprano (very early), since Colombia is now 1 hour behind us. I bet that Maria was very excited and sleepy.

I received a letter in the mail today from the NVC stating that they received my petition and will be forwarding it to the embassy. The letter included my new case number and the address of the embassy. Also, provided the DOS website to determine if the embassy has any info of which you should be aware. I was a little shocked because I wasn't expecting a letter from NVC. At first, I thought omg what happened now? Did something get screwed up and they lost my petition, but no...it was good news. Just a formality, because I knew on 3/18 that my petition was sent to the embassy...should be there by now.
Well, it's high time I find thee parrot...he stole me pint agin.
