Just got off the phone with the DoS, and Ewan's interview was just scheduled!

Naddy, Jess, Mrs. Dog, and anyone else still waiting for the P4 - get your USC to call the DoS at 202-663-1225 (I think the options you press are 1 at the first menu and 0 at the second one). I talked to a very helpful woman, and just gave her our NVC case number and my fiance's name, and she told me the interview date and the date the P4 was mailed. So maybe this will save you a couple days of worrying!

I was expecting the P4 for tomorrow, I guess I won't get it till next week

@ An : I don't know if they sent it to me, and just on it's way to me. I called the consulate yesterday, and the woman didn't even know what P4 is. I tried to explain to her and I told her that I have undelivered mail problems, and that I'm afraid that they sent me the P4 and that it got lost, and if she could check if I have an interview date scheduled, and all she said after like half an hour, is "send them a fax" >.<

So I'll mail them tomorrow if I don't get anything.

Yes it was very easy. She said the guy was very nice and sweet to her. He was smiling and joking with her the whole time. Jum said she was too excited and she doesn't remember exactly what he asked, but he asked the simple questions...

yeah, I got them the next day I sent back the P3.

I really hope i get something by next week, today was really hard was my birthday and I spent it alone .

Wellll, she has to be at the embassy at 7am. I don't expect her to be done at the Embassy until after 10am. She has to give all of her evidence, and they will review it. When they are done reviewing it, they will call her up for her interview. I'm hoping I hear something before my midnight.

PS- Jum is still waiting to receive her P3. They sent her an email with a link for her P4. I'll go yell at the Embassy in France if you do not get your P4 soon.

Well, according to other frenchy's timeline, they receive the p4 after 10-15 days. Today is my 11th day. So i hope to hear something by next week >.< . It's all the post office's fault. Instead of delivering the mail the next day, it took them 5 days to give the P3 back to the embassy. Stupid VSC family gene .

I guess i'll be long gone by the time Jum finishes her interview. I guess I'll see the result when I'll wake up, even before my breakfast lol

Thanks everyone! I am cleaning today to help get my mind off of the interview and in preparation for Jum's arrival. There seems to be a lot that I have neglected to clean since starting this visa process. Anyways, 6 more hours to go before she has to be at the embassy.

You can come clean my house too if you want lol . I'm really not in the mood for anything, still waiting on that stupid P4. Why is it taking so long

Help, j'ai un terrible dilemme concernant le bagage à main.

Bon je crois que la limite déjà, c'est 12 kilos.

Le truc, c'est que j'ai pas mal de choses fragiles et de valeur à emporter.

J'ai mon sac à dos, c'est un sac à dos pour portable, mais il est assez gros, c'est pour ordi 17/18".

Il va etre bourré d'accessoires électroniques, appareil photo, disque dur externe.

Ensuite, j'ai également un petit bagage un main, du style qui s'attache au trolley de la valise, voyez ce que je veux dire ?

Bon la dedans, j'aurais encore quelques trucs fragiles, mon petit coussin pour le cou, quelques trucs de valeur mais il ne devrait pas être lourd.

Mais j'ai également 3 petits cadres de valeur qui seront dans un sac à part, ils ne rentrent pas dans le bagage à main.... Ils sont fragiles et de valeur, je veux les garder à la main.

Aaaah quoiqu'ils rentrent dans le sac à dos !

Ah, c'est affreux tout ce que j'ai a penser et a faire, c'est un marathon de folie.

J'ai fait ma grande soirée ce soir, Sabrina.

Enfin, j'ai fait mon dernier pèlerinage, j'ai été dire aurevoir à plein de gens, à mon ancien boulot d'avant, été boire un coup dans mon ancien bar fétiche, fini au restau avec mes amis et fait mes derniers petits achats.

Je fais l'état des lieux samedi, je passe le reste du week-end chez des amis, et lundi matin, hop direction Roissy !

J'ai une tête de zombie là, pfiuu, j'en peux plus, comme je rêve de me poser, enfin il va falloir emménager aussi.

Jum's interview is less than 24 hours away, and I am starting to go insane. The opinion of 1 person is all that matters right now.

Jum showed me the amount of evidence she is bringing, and it looks like about 3000 pieces of paper. It is so much paper she struggles to pick all of it up and it's less than 10% of what we could provide.

Her medical was great. She apparently meets all of the requirements. No need for additional vaccines.

I hope that on Monday I am purchasing plane tickets instead of sending more documents.

Ok so I was approved last week (the 19th) and Ive relaxed and relished in the fact we got our approval.....umm.....now what??? Do I have to sit back and just wait....again...or should i be finding out if the NVC has the case yet?? I think Ive assembled everything needed for interview/packet....I will be sending it off tomorrow once Ive gone through it ONE MORE TIME!! lol.....any info would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, gratz on your NOA2

So now, what happens? well, here it goes lol :

1 - VSC sends the case to NVC. You should receive shortly your NOA2 hard copy (you have to send a copy of that to your fiance)

2 - NVC send you a letter telling you that they received your case, that they gave you a new case number, and that they will send your application shortly to the embassy

3 - It's been a wekk, so you should call the NVC to see when they send your application back.

4 - Go on the DHL site and track your application, to see if the embassy got it

Congratulations on everyone that received their NOA2! We got ours on November 19th, and have been on a high since! Please check out the K1 forum, I posted a question on there, and nobody has answered it yet! It's called "Question on P3". Thanks for doing so!

By the way, has anyone received their P3 yet, and if so, how did it go? Filling it and sending it back I mean?

Jum just got her interview date. It will be March 29. She sent her packet 3 on March 23 and her interview is on March 29. OMG!! I don't know if we are ready. She will have her medical tomorrow. Ohhhhhhh nooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! We must hurry. It is 3:30am and I should be sleeping. I'm having every kind of emotion right now.

I live just outside of DC in Virginia. There's a lot of activities, but the rent and the traffic are horrible. It can take me 30 min to go 10 miles/16km on the exressway, and it costs $1500 (1100 Euro) a month for a 1 bedroom apartment. The cheap homes are $350,000 (259,000 Euros). Anyways, hope you enjoy DC. This is a place you either love it or you hate it.

Im glad I left Paris 3 years ago to live in a peaceful village on the west coast lol. And I'm glad Drue doesn't live in a city, or I would make him move. I had health problem from the stressful life in Paris, don't wanna get back to that ><. He hates the cities too, that's 1 of the 1000 things we have in common lol.

I want that P4 now ><, wanna go there as soon as possible. Drue can't sleep cos of Elly. She keeps whining when she wanna go poopy. Well, he prefers to get up and take her out every 2 hours then to have to clean up her crate.

She's so cute tho . Drue told me that Mirra (the rotty) loves her little sis so much, and that they both try to play tricks on him. Like they both try to eat from each other's bowl. And when he goes in the kitchen, they make believe that they were sniffing the floor, then they look at him and smile . omg soooo cute, and I'm missing all this

I am sitting in the historic city of Budapest on the terrace of my favorite coffee place (right across the square from the US embassy), enjoying the beautiful spring weather and writing to y'all:

The interview itself was short, but lots of question mainly about my fiance. Where was he born, what does his father do, where has he lived, what were his jobs, where did we meet, where is the wedding, etc. She also asked me where one of the pictures we included in the original packet was taken (I guess to test me, as it was printed on the back.) So nothing hard, nobody has anything to worry about.

When I received the Packet 3, they have crossed the "I-894" and wrote I-134 instead.

As for the documents, you have to take with you everything that would justify the sum you filled in #7 (bank statement if you filled the "deposit in savings banks", and so on)

Paycheck stubs is a must.

So, after two hours of being put on hold at the post office and the bureau responsible for police certificates, they figured out where it is. It was issued, but they forgot to post it. Now they are kind enough to let me go get it myself
