Never mind Kristin,I went and checked what you had to say about the co-sponsor question. So hopefully, mine will not be a big deal also.
And hey Naddy,it suddenly struck me today morning,so let me ask before I forget.
I do not see a medical in your signature. Is the French consulate not asking for one?
Duh,Naddy please do me a favor and ignore what I wrote above.I obviously did not pay close attention to your signature.

Some happy new to report...visa approved!! David said everything went very smoothly this morning, everyone he dealt with was really nice and he was in and out of the embassy in about an hour. We're both so relieved and happy to have this part of the process over. He probably won't move over till mid-June but it's nice to feel that there's nothing stopping him from coming over as soon as next week if we want!
We will write up a review in our timeline later today or tomorrow for those who are interested in the details.
Best of luck to all of you getting ready for your own interviews!

Awwww that is fabulous Meg, many congratulations
so glad to see someone reach the end game for K1 at least!!!
Here's an update from my side. I am almost at spontaneous combustion point again.....
Got back from stateside yesterday and I rang the Embassy this morning at 8am on the dot. I was told that I hadn't been scheduled an interview date because I hadn't sent in my document checklist.
There is no way on this earth that I didn't send that checklist. Which means they've lost it.
I've emailed them and insisted I sent it in with the rest of my paperwork and asked them to advise a way forward (and mentioned that I now have 'travel dates for July' too). If they put me back at the bottom of the pile I'm going to be absolutely furious because this is not my fault and I do not want up to a 2 month delay added because I go to the bottom of the pile cos the Embassy are incompetent.
Way to kill my post-holiday mood in about 5 seconds flat
omg this is UNACCEPTABLE !!!!
what's wrong with the USEM? I guess they only hire relatives for this K1 visa process, this is ridiculous
I hope you kept a copy of the checklist Jess, scan it and mail it back, to make sure they won't "misplace" it again.
GOD, this is frustrating. We have no time to rest during this process >.<

Wow!!! What a relief after such a long time!!! I'm glad you passed!!!
My medical is gonna be on Monday, I've talked to the doctor and he seemed to be really nice, it made me feel so much better about this part of the process. *Fingers crossed*
Good luck for Monday Juliana, everything will go ok
. You'll feel less heavy when you will get out tho, we all will $.$
Argh......I put no travel date and the wedding date as November *wail*. I could be waiting forever, lol!!
I rang DOS again today to see if there had been any movement...this time the lady said my P3 had been logged April 13th but that I still wasn't showing as qualified for interview...she said maybe I had forgotten something which worries me greatly. Lady I spoke to Monday just said they hadn't had a chance to give me an interview date.
Unfortunately I think the time has come to call the extortion line...6 weeks seems like an awful long time to wait for a date judging by other people's experiences. Gonna bite the bullet and bankrupt myself Tuesday!!
PS JL_n_JL - congratulations
J x
Mrs D. is right, I guess the USEM schedule the interviews depending on the wedding date you put. I only had to send the the DS-230, and couldn't put a wedding date, but when i saw that it was taking too long, I mailed them asking how much the process usually takes, cos we are planning on getting married June 6, and guess what, they scheduled the interview 2 days after. Maybe you should do that
I will be at the shisha party! I drink 5 coffees and about 10 cups of tea per day. It doesn't raise my blood pressure, only immigration has the power to do that! Bring on the strong stuff! I also plan to knock myself out with gin and horse tranqulisers on the flight as I will be so stressed about my dogs in the hold of the plane.
Our megger got married today!
awwww, don't worry Mrs D, the doggies will be ok. It'll be their first and last long journey
Gratz Megannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
We want picts, We want picts !!!!!!!!
One more week to kill for me, then off to Paris for my lonnnnnggggg week. Starting to worry
-
Well... I passed (pending the blood test results & chest x-ray).
She did say my blood pressure was a little high & heart rate was about 90BPM so she had to be a little cautious when taking the blood (and i had caffine 5 hours before the medical which apparently doesn't help either
).
19 hour day, but all worth it in the end.
wow, what a long day. Glad you made it
-
Fiancee just got her approval. Thank god, now I can sleep.

So happy for you

Well i'mm off for my medical tomorrow... Up at 04:00 or so to get there on time
and get back about 22:00 tomorrow night.
Friday at work should be interesting...!
Good luck for tomorrow
Hope you get an interview date soon
-
I'm just waiting like you Anwesha
I have 2 weeks to kill, then I'll be super busy from May 8th till May 22nd (hopefully the day I'll fly over). I'll go to Paris, spend time with family and friend, then go to the interview, then go back home, hand over the apartment, sell the car, cancel all the utilities, pay my last taxes, then go back to Paris to take the plane. it's gonna be 2 weeks of hell
They will go by quick
Megan, don't worry, the first wedding is not really important, it's an AOS wedding. At least you will go somewhere to sign the papers and all. For us, I think Drue's friend will come over to marry us, he's a justice of the peace, our 2 doggies will be the witnesses lol, and then we'll all go to a barbecue ribs restaurant for the wedding dinner, sooooooooooo romantic
. I'll let him plan this wedding, but the big wedding will be my way
lol

Jon's (Jl_n_JL) interview is in 2 days.
Good luck
Tell your fiance to kick their a$$es

I'll be in SC An ^^, not far from you. I'll be watching you

Hi guys!!! Just wanted to drop in and say hello
Can't stop long but a couple pf things...
1. If you hadn't noticed by my absence - I DID make it stateside
:D only after 10 hours sat in Manchester airport freaking out whilst they did so many checks on the plane they took the bloody engines apart!!
2. For the first time I told the Immigration Officer I was visiting my fiance - I got fewer questions than ever before. Definitely a good move.
3. My Packet 3 has been logged at the Embassy but no interview date yet.......anyone got better news??
Anyway just wanted to say hi - I'm off to look at apartments with my mother-in-law!! Yikes!!
1 - We noticed your absence
was wondering what you did
. Glad you made it safe to your hubby's
2 - nice ^^
3 - That's good news
, hopefully they will schedule you an interview soon . Me, Mrs D and Anwesha got our interview date scheduled
4 - Yikes !! Good luck lol
-
Naddy, that dress is totally gorgeous, and as we've all got some kind of mental picture of what we all think each other looks like, I've always had the sense that you look like Audrey Hepburn, therefore that dress is perfect.
I googled her, and nope, not even close lol. Try to picture me like a white Tina Turner lol. well, at least her curly hair lol
Oh yes. The principle also extends to jewellery. Mr Dog took complete leave of his senses last Christmas and ventured into a jewellery store alone.
Mrs Dog got one horrific bracelet in the mail (for which she had to pay $50 UK import tax on cos Mr D was foolish enough to put the real value of horrific bracelet on customs form).
The bracelet was so horrific it was a miracle it didn't get seized by customs as it was a crime against fashion and good taste.
Mrs Dog went mental and sent it back to Mr Dog with a note which read "people have been divorced for less, hope you kept the receipt".
Men - step back from the store unless you are accompanied by a female.
L O L
. You are awesome Mrs D.
-
Megan, soooo happy for you. We want pictures of the wedding
As for the dress, Drue loves it too. Just need to loose those extra few pounds I gained during the stressful waiting, so I could look pretty in that dress lol.
As for my stuff, I'm really finding it hard to get rid of some of them
. It's my life, don't wanna get rid of it
. So I guess I'll just bring everything with me, no matter how much it'll cost, even if it's worth less than the shipping fees
. I'm so nostalgic
I'm happy for everyone who has passed their interviews and for those who have had their interviews scheduled. However, I am soooo jealous of those who have moved already. I am still waiting until May 20 to go to Thailand. This has been the longest month in my life so far, and I have 3 more weeks to go.
I have been working on a few things. I was able to get Jum a credit card and I bought her some clothes.
Now I'm jealous
I wish my hubby would go out and buy me some clothes, he hates shopping
. I'm a shopaholic, will have to convert the poor guy lol
