I don't get all the fuss about the Cheerios post tbh.
Maybe I have less pressure at work?
I didn't take as an insult against women, it could have applied equally to a male.

You know it must be a stink bomb when the likes of Time magazine, CNN, and the NY Times are asking questions and running counter stories to the official version from the WH.

You're referring to the post I made, no such vile word was used to describe women. You totally changed the context of that comment and continue to falsely claim I referred to women in this forum b*tches.
How you managed to misconstrue that comment is beyond me.

This has nothing to do with gun aficionados. A statement like this paints all gun owners with a wide brush and is wrong.

Your husband is a fortunate guy to have such an understanding wife with a great attitude, even in the face of a challenging situation.
Years from now when you tell others and maybe your children the story of how you came to America, you two can share a laugh about how he didn't listen to you and caused extra stress over lost documents.

I agree with you. I sent birthday cards to the Philippines that have yet to be delivered, that was in 1986.

    Welcome.
The I-864 issue(s) won't necessarily cause a denial. If placed in AP, provide the missing info asap then wait for the case to be reviewed again.

Dieseltu, I feel sorry for you. It would be interesting to hear other side, but considering that you wrote it seems to me like your wife is treating you very unfair and you're trying to put up with it. Sometimes you just need to stand up for yourself. Like somebody mentioned before, "Sweetie, you don't like the way I'm doing bla-bla-bla (washing dishes, cleaning...)? Do it yourself then any way you want, I've survived doing it this way for 30 years, so it works for me" - that's my position. Are you starting to yell at me? Fine, I will leave room/house and will not come back until you will calm down. You can not get state ID with glamour photo? Sorry, that's how it works, not a big deal, but if you want to complain, you can talk to DMV, because I can't change it.
Does it sound a little harsh? May be, but otherwise you will feel miserable all the time and it's not your fault. IMHO, marriage is a union of two adults, it's give and take, but your wife is acting like rebellious teenager with softhearted Dad and a active taker, it's not fair. She is trying to change you a lot, and that's not good. Like we joke in Russia, "when woman marrying man, she has a hope he will change. when man marrying a woman, he has a hope she will not change. and they both have wrong expectations." I think, when you're marrying someone, you should accept this person who he/she is. If you want and need to correct him/her in everyday life including lifetime habits like eating, cleaning, etc. - it's a very bad idea and often causing relationship fail.
When I came to the US, there also were plenty of things I didn't like. Barely existing public transportation, small talks, corn syrup in everything, apt. buildings and houses made of "wood and cardboard" and many, many other things around. But I never ever thought about bitching at my wife about it, because it's not her fault, she didn't make this country as a Legoland from scratch, and she is not responsible for these things. From your posts it seems like your wife is releasing her anger and disappointment with outside things at you personally and it's bad attitude.
Again, I definitely expected my wife to help me with adjustment here because many things are very different, but I'm not a child she adopted, so I didn't expect her to take me everywhere like a toddler and guide through every little step day to day. It takes some time to adjust, but biggest part of adjustment is willing to adjust and working on it by whoever is adjusting. You can not adjust someone from "outside" if this person is refusing to do anything about it.
Putting myself on your place, I would let her go home, because I wouldn't be able to swallow such emotional abuse from my wife. Before we even engaged I warned her that I never could and never will put up with a partner who will make scandals out of nothing, yell at me or will at me for no reason, she assured me she doesn't do such things and, lucky me, she does not.
If you love her so much that you simply can't stand letting her go and she wants a divorse and ticket to China, I don't know what to advise... you're very strong person if you handle such bad treating so good.

It's not a Russian thing at all. Dishsoap is used in Russia by almost everybody, so if somebody from Russia thinks that dishsoap is bad for you, it's just a personal thing, nothing about being Russian.

After reading all the shared stories ..I considered myself lucky. Me and My husband met in Kuwait. My USC husband worked in US government in Kuwait and I worked ad a Nurse there
When I finished my contract I went back in the philippines and my husband came to visit me and we got married in mycountry. He's still working in Kuwait so I moved back to kuwait but this time not yo work but to be his wife. At first its like "cook your own food" but after three months I learned how to cook his food thru google. We never had problem. I just stayed at home cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing. .yes im just like a maid for him...but im happy doing that for him. Maybe because I really love my husband. I dont have any complaint to my husband..he's so nice and sweet. And he appreciate everything I am doing for him.seriously we never had problem..but unfortunately he got layed off so he moved back to US and I moved back to the Philippines. .now were just waiting for my visa to be together again. .. its love how we can accept everything..its the person who is with us who makes the place beautiful.

The thug was the one who made the poor decision. .. you side with the thugs all the time. Poor poor thug.... He chose a life of armed crime and paid for it. Bad decision on his part. The next armed robbery he perhaps would have killed someone you know?...

Personally I think the point of the story was that someone went into a store, threatened other people's lives with a gun, an ended up dead for doing so. It would be nice to think that would be a deterrent to other people considering doing the same thing. That would probably be naive. However, one thing is for sure. The robber wont be harming anyone again, and that is a good thing.

Are you and Kathryn related? You two tend to show an abundance of patience--of course, that's my lowly opinion.
On another note, the proposed changes are two steps in the right direction.

You really seem to have distorted the post about the Cheerios, IMO.
I think I know who you're talking about when making the Penny comparison, it is one of two users, or maybe both.. But which one didn't violate TOS? All were banned, so all violated TOS. Multiple times. I really don't get that part of your post, but I could be missing something.
Again, I bring it up for clarification, not drama. It's looking like the girls against the boys.

Just as I don't understand why it's so hard for some to understand how sour attitudes don't lead to good discussions. I can think of a man or two on this forum who has a sour attitude too. Sex has nothing to do with it, IMO. A negative attitude is a negative attitude, man or woman. I didn't attempt to sugar coat anything, I stated what I observed, just as you have. The sharp tongues are on both sides. And I do ignore threads that don't interest me. What's being done is being done for controversy, again, on both sides. You are correct, this isn't a place for a select few to have fun, it's for all members. It's also not a place for the select few to create controversy for the majority. Again, it works both ways.
I'm still missing something on the one violates TOS, and the other does not. And it really does seem like the boys against the girls. I feel it is appropriate for this this discussion since it currently causing problems in the forum and it has certainly caused problems in the past.
I'd venture to guess that when someone rephrases something you post to put a different spin on it, you'd say something about it. If Captain Ewok feels this is mucking up the discussion, I ask him to remove my off topic posts. I'll be happy to continue this discussion in the other forum.

It's true. When I see your missive appear in a thread, I know the Sheriff was here and the law was laid down. Yet, I don't think anyone feels slighted, dissed, or humiliated.

You know Kathryn, with your style of writing -- it's like you could punch an individual in the face, resulting in a broken nose -- yet, make 'em feel as if you just gave a warm handshake, a pat on the back, and congratulated them.
    You should've been a writer.
