It is so exciting to see people get their interview dates! Just a few steps closer to my fiance's paperwork that is at the Montreal Consulate as of last week. Yeah!
-
So now there are 2 April dates! Yeah!
Maggie_Kenyth on April 8
Amanda2020 on April 16
Yeah! I am looking forward to seeing more!
Go Montreal Go!

Called this morning...waited for about 20 min....and it was the most worth 20 min on the phone...got Interview for April 16th...I am pumped I really did not expect it so early...Congrats to everyone else that got March and April Interviews....lets keep them coming....only thing now my Wedding isnt till August we didnt expect it so early so we booked later..we get 6 months on the visa right to show up at the border? I've heard different times...i guess they tell us at the interview.
That is excellent news. Maybe Montreal is at least scheduling out the K-1 packets they receive closer to when they receive them so we can plan for the medical exam, travel to Montreal, and moving information (although I know no one is promised a visa until after the interview), and maybe just maybe weddings that we want to have! Yeah. Still waiting for my fiance' to get his P3. Hopefully that will be quick too. I am expecting it by Feb. 11 or so.

Glad things are moving along for you, dawgofwar. Just a few more steps! Then your love will be home with you!

Wow 3 hours for lunch and then done at 3:30 p.m. each day. I want a job at a consulate. Thanks for bringing up the pictures. Never been to Montreal before and I am looking forward to a day soon when I can join my fiance' going down this street to getting his visa!

I will order my invitations through vistaprint.com
Beautiful invitations and about every other week they only cost 50 cents a piece.
Why? I don't even want the possibility that I would have to fight with my printer.
-
Congratulations!

One step closer is always a good thing!

If you fill in your timeline, the computer will give you a potential range of dates for your NOA2 based on your NOA1. Click on the Immigration Timelines, then under "timeline functions" click on "Add/edit my entry". That would be a useful first step for you and help out people who may be able to help you.

I made spinach noodle bake (yummy alfredo sauce with spinach/garlic noodles and chopped spinach) and a tomato sandwich to give my meal some color besides green. Dessert was some key lime yogurt.
-
Ok, just wanted to make sure. I hope you get through eventually.
-
Are you calling 603-334-0700? That is the National Visa Center number. 1 is for English and 5 is for a human. Maybe you and I are talking about different phone numbers, eh?
-
It took me about 15 minutes of redial on Friday to get through (53 redials!), then I pressed 1, then 5 to get a human. Hopefully you get through soon to see if your petition is there and whether it has been sent on to your consulate.

Q: Are there supermarkets in Toronto and is milk available all year round? ( Germany )
A: No, we are a peaceful civilization of Vegan hunter/gathers. Milk is illegal.
LOL ,LOL, LOL!
The olympics are in Vancouver, correct? Where do these people think you Canadians get food?

Has anyone got interview date for April ?
Yes, this person has a K-1 interview in Montreal in April
-
So they actually do K-1 interviews on other days besides Friday. That is good news!
Congrats to everyone. I can't wait to see the rest of March fill up and April because soon after my fiance' should be on his way to the consulate for his K-1 interview. The date can't come quick enough!
-
The hope given to those of us that still wait is VERY MUCH appreciated!
-
I read somewhere that they usually do rate hikes on the quarters (April 1, July 1, etc) so some will be lucky, and others well, depending on the consulate wait, will likely be not so lucky. But as long as I get to marry my fiance' on July 11, 2010 I DON'T CARE HOW MUCH IT COSTS because finding the PERFECT MAN FOR ME is PRICELESS!
-
Yeah! Looks like it is the K-1 interview appointments made day!
-
Are you planning to have your US citizen fiance' accompany you to the interview? Are you allowed to bring him with you to the interview?
-
Congratulations! Very exciting!
-
My fiance' and I are planning to save the money as if it is the higher fee (since we don't know when it will go into effect exactly) and if it is the lower fee, we will celebrate! I have read somewhere else that April 1, July 1, etc are the favorite governmental implementation dates so I guess we will have to wait and see.

I couldn't find anything to confirm, nor deny it but the first posting it seems that a "second rule" has to be published.
Non-immigrant visa fee increase
I haven't seen anything yet. My fiance' will likely get stuck with the higher fee since we have a 4 to 6 month wait for the Montreal consulate for an interview but it is NOT confirmed anywhere that I have seen. I am going to keep checking the Department of State website about news. Until I see something published there, then I know it is still $131.
