  1. Yeah but you live on the West Coast.. PAL really needs to do a direct flight into JFK instead of just LAX/LAS.. For me to get to LAX would be just a nightmare, so Milagros is coming in via Delta to JFK. I really wish she should have just come in via a direct flight, but it's not possible. Living in CT, there aren't any real direct International flights so it's 2.5 hours for me to drive down to JFK to fetch her and then of course the 2.5 hours drive back. She's going to be so tired and yet so excited at the same time..

  2. For I-129's it should just be two I-134's.. One for you and one for your brother.. Be careful to make sure you fill them both out identically (except for the financial stuff). I've heard people get rejected during the interview if any information isn't consistent between the two forms.

  3. good luck with the interview captain and have a safe trip to see your honey.

a nice bit or relief Jared on the medical stuff

Thanks, I'm headed out in 2 weeks.. I am hoping she'll have visa in-hand when I get there.. We're going to spend a week between Manila, Bohol, and Davao City.. Unfortunately, she won't be coming here until July 7th which gives me just 59 days to get my place "fiancee-ready" before she arrives.

  4. Teamster, I'm in the same boat as you brother.. My fiancee has stayed at the Bocobo Hotel and absolutely loves it.. I wouldn't have her stay anywhere else at this point.. The only thing that we're doing to try and save a little coin is having her do the CFO while I visit in 2 weeks.. We'll already be in Manila, and then she's flying into JFK after she takes the nursing boards in July..

There aren't too many ways to save a lot of $$$ when you talk about all these flights except for maybe comparing some of the airlines.. Philippine Airlines tends to be a bit more expensive than Cebu Pacific so maybe you'll get lucky and find a cheaper flight that way? Also have her look for promos, sometimes you can get a 1/2 price ticket..

The only other thing is maybe you don't have her sister go with her.. I know how you felt in terms of having her fly alone, but if push comes to shove, I know she can do it.. My Milagros is all of 5'2 and she walks around Manila like she owns it.

    Good Luck & God Bless!

  5. Just got a txt msg from my Wilma that her and her new found friend from VJ, Karen, just passed their St Luke medical exams today. They are now waiting for Immunizations...next step embassy interview! Thank you Lord!!

Good deal Johnny!! All the best of luck to you.

  6. Jared, I know this is probably a really stupid question but would it be beneficial for May to do another physical. I mean, we are here, the medical center is about 8,000 miles away, how hard do you think they are looking for her medical records? I agree with you, I'd be on a plane quickly to help them look whether I was going there originally or not. I am going to call and attempt to get a case number for Cary, I have no idea what to expect. I do have every stitch of paper that has been sent, I have the NVC letter with the new MNL cae number on it, so I am expecting no real issues. How soon after you set the appointment do they send an Email to confirm the appointment and does the Email come to me or to Cary? I need to have a confirmation by next monday.

I'm going out there anyway in 2 weeks to visit.. Seems silly to pay another $200 for the exam, $150 RT airfare, $50 hotel, $100 walking around money for a mistake they made.. $500 would be better spent on Milagros buying new clothes here.. #### them, they'll fix it.

The e-mail is like instantaneous (while you're on the phone) confirming the appt day.

  7. Thanks Jared, they find May's medical records yet? I am going to call tonight cause the number is for Philippine time. It is 12 days today according to NVC since the package left for Manila.

    Captain, have a safe trip.

    Cary and Jim

Nope, still haven't located the medical files. I'm calling again tonight, and I will call every night. And if they still don't find them, I intend on stopping at the embassy the week I'm out there..

  8. Hi Captain,

I know you are traveling soon, have a safe trip. Am I reading this post correctly? Is there a way to track packages sent to embassies? I am trying to figure out when to call for an interview. According to NVC and Consulate General's office my package left for Manila on April 2nd. Beyond that the Consulate General conversation was a waste of time. I am trying to get the physical done next week, all of a sudden it appears that setting the interview appointment before the physical is a big deal so I would like to get that appointment date either this week or Monday of next week. Anyone else is welcome to help as well. I can't have enough feedback.

    Cary and Jim

You want to call about 10-12 days after the NVC ships the package to Manila. It's not really "overnight" when it goes around the world. Get your medical done as soon as you can, you just need to provide the MNL Case # and a copy of the NOA2 is helpful.

Then you call here and schedule the appointment ($18 fee)

    1-888-877-9888

for callers from within the United States (mainland only)

  9. Better call St. Luke and let them know that the embassy said they lost the medical records of ur gf and after you call them you call the embassy and tell them that what St. Luke told you... In my case I was approved but took so long with my NSO what we did was I let my hubby call them because they entertain and give update and they r nice to the petitioner. My hubby call the NSO and Embassy everyday and annoyed them and they will give you update so you will stop calling them and it works... LOL...

Thanks I spent a half hour yesterday on the phone to receive no real update, but I could tell the call agent wasn't too happy with how long I kept her on the phone.. At the end, I told her I'd speak with her again tomorrow to get an update..
