  1. I sent the paperwork in to the Vermont Service Center, and it was received on January 25. I check visajourney regularly and see that others who have submitted around that time have gotten their NOA2. My file hasn't even been "touched". I know it says on the Vermont site that it can take five months to process, but I'm sitting here wondering what the hell I did wrong in order for my 1-129F to not be approved yet.

I'm really worried it's because I put the consulate as Toronto, not Montreal or Vancouver. And yet I haven't even been notified that it was wrong in the first place.

I'm trying to be patient but it's driving me insane, I'm about to get laid off and my fiance and I are fighting like mad.

I just really needed to vent, thanks for listening.

Look at my timeline 101 days between Noa1 and Noa2. That should be your baseline and not the 40 days you see out of the California Service Center.

  2. Mark,

You just need to send her a photocopy of the credit card and ID for the person who purchased the ticket. They don't care about last names, etc.. PAL does STRICTLY enforce this.

Make sure it's a clear picture of the credit card.. My Milagros told me that they complained in the airport about another passenger who didn't have a good clear photocopy.

    Best regards,

  3. The night I first met my wife...she wasnt my wife yet, hehehehe. She arrived at the airport 2 hours early, but the crowds were so heavy. She waited outside the airport. I didnt know where to look for her. I had all my baggage...it was raining, and soooooooo hot and humid, at night. after 12 midnight. I didnt know how to call her from there, and didnt know what to do. I heard my name paged, but too late to hear the message. I found a security guard and explained all to him, and showed him her phone number, and he said "wait here". He walked away, and soon he came back with my wife! He told me to wait under the letter A, and she was upset why I wasnt waiting under the letter D! (as my last name begins with). But I told her I waited where the security guard told me to wait. But she looked so differnet in person... smaller, more beautiful, than I imagined. So I maybe walked right past her and did not know.

That's really a very cute story..

  4. Thanks to both.. Yes I'm totally stoked after waiting 100 days..

I was already planning on visiting Milagros in May, taking a trip to Bohol.. Timing-wise I hope maybe to be there for the interview or medical..

    Salamat..

  5. Sorry if this has been answered before, but I tried search the forums and didn't find anything.. I'm working on my fiancee's DS-156 and it's asking for her National ID Number.

Is it the TIN or SSS? Or some other #?

    Salamat..

  6. I'll never forget my first time to Phil.. I was in Shanghai on business and flew to Manila, then connected to Davao via PAL. When I landed in Davao (only kano onboard) I was overwhelmed with people trying to help me. They wanted to carry bags, take their jeeps/taxi's to places, etc..

I cross the street in Davao airport and there's just so many Filipinos waiting around for their loved ones. I look all around and can't find her.. She sends me an SMS that she's got a cab and is waiting.. Finally as I keep walking a little Pinay calls my name and throws her arms around me..

To this day, I'm still not 100% sure she is my Milagros.. but she is the one who found me that first day in Davao..

    (just kidding)

  7. Jared,

Why is it that everywhere we travel it is more beautiful than the US. Every time I visit Colombia I am amazed at the beauty of the land.

I love the mountains and all of the green vegetation. Maybe it's because Florida is not a very pretty state...very flat____

I have a good feeling that you will be receiving good news this week.

OK, VSC...stop with the touches and just send out the d@mn NOA2's...comprende?

I'm with you.. I haven't had the pleasure of visiting Colombia, but it seems to be just beautiful.. The Philippines is just magical, it's almost worth the 24 hours of planes, trains, and automobiles to get there..

Don't bash Florida too much, you've got much nicer weather down there then up here.. Also a mouse that we're going to visit for our honeymoon.. Though I suppose even you guys got knocked around by a crappy winter. I have a good feeling too.. Praying for some good news this week..

  8. We have checked and checked in USCIS site but No Touches just same status as before; are we missing something??? We have login and everything set for notification by email but have not changed since 12/16/09. :crying:

I haven't been touched either, so no worried brother.. This is how it all works.. Even look, my NOA1 is on 12/7, last touched 12/10.. In theory I should be approved before you, but this whole thing is a crapshoot. People get approved at different times. It's kind of like that hidden ball trick under cups, you never know where the stack of K1 applications are going to land and who will process them. Don't worry, our approvals are coming soon!

  9. Looks like a really fun time, congratulations.. It's funny, this post reminded me to put our 6 month anniversary on my calendar. I need to remember to send flowers since I won't be there for the 6 months.. (hope she doesn't see this post)

  10. Hello Everyone,

While I am happy about everyone else's progress on Packet 3, medical exams, etc., is there anyone on this forum like me that filed in November and is still waiting on their NOA2?

I filed Nov 23rd, got a touch on Nov 26th, and nothing since. Next week will make it four months and while I am trying to adopt a Zen attitude about this whole process it is starting to get a little scary. I feel like I'm the only VisaJourney November filer that hasn't had my application touched since November. Someone posted on this forum before how they basically lost his app - after five months he called and they said it had "timed out" and he had to start all over again - very scary stuff:(

    Mike

    Mike,

It might be worth your time to try and call the CSC.. Clearly California is out of whack.. As you can see from other's timelines they are processing Jan & Feb filers at this point and may have somehow misplaced your application..

    Good luck!

    -Jared
