    No, you really should include the last 3 years tax transcripts, or tax returns, with W-2's, etc. if possible. If you haven't filed this year yet, use last years if it's adequate income. I would definitely include an employer letter with current income with your case.

    You should not have any problems with what you described, as long as she doesn't have several kids. They use your current income to qualify but include also your previous tax records as well.
