Since you don't have a letter and only verbal instructions, just call to follow up on your case - ask to confirm your contact info and see where things are. Good luck!

Ok, i called the tier 2 today and he said my approved documents just arrived there today. I asked how long before i can receive my GC he said he can't tell he don't want to say coz he don't know depends on the load...

Thank you. Yea I will try calling back again. I was transferred tier 2 last time I called I waited almost an hour until it reaches 6 pm and that is their closing time. I work everyday my husband called them once but he was told they can't give info to him anymore since I was lifted up my conditional residence I and I am responsible for myself now that was they told him. Maybe this has something to do with holiday season. I am praying it won't take too long coz my stamp on my passport is until May 2014 or else's have to travel again too far away..

Generally in 30 days but in few cases it takes long. All the best.

Do i need to get a letter that i got approved from my interview for I-751? I had my interview together with my husband last month Nov. 4, 2013 in USCIS Jacksonville Florida and i was told they will forward my approved case back to vermont for GC production. Until now i am waiting. The USCIS website is not working right it was stocked to old my records.

Something happened today. Completely unexpected, very well welcome. Somebody please tell me, this is I what I think it is:

"On December 11, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

I am about cry, somebody please tell me I am not dreaming right now.

I am waiting for almost 1 month and so and my case status on their website has not changed too and got stocked with my changed of address. I was interviewed in USCIS Jackson Florida and was told that they will forward it to vermont for GC production.

The consul stamped my docs approved but he did not give anything to me and have not received anything yet in the mail box. He just told me and my husband that he will forward my case back to vermont to produce my gc and confirm our address to where it will be sent over and said give Vermont atleast a month. Thank you for that information, I will try calling back again next week and ask for tier 2. Should i supposed to get a letter in the mail box about the approval of my petition, because the consul did not inform me that i will get a letter. I thought you get a letter once your petition got approved without being called for an interview?

Hi there. Usually how long before you guys got your spouse's green card after got approved and lifted up the condition in the interview? I was approved last month Nov 4, 2013 and lifted up my conditional residency. The consul in USCIS Jackson Florida told us ( me and my husband) that they will forward my approved case back to Vermont for them to produce a 10 years GC for me. I been waiting for it for a while and wondering when will i get it coz some of my friend they got theirs 1 to 2 weeks only.

I called the Vermont and the agent told me when it is outside the processing time they can't find out the status since i filed it April 2012.

I was a little aggreviated with that customer service when i told him i got approved and was lifted up my conditional residency and trying to find out the status and he was like " it sounds like your not approved". I just can't tell him, hek you are just an operator who reads whats on the computer and so on and can't even tell me what is the status of my GC and now telling me that, but i controlled my self. USCIS website does not work for my status case eversince, it got stocked with my changed address and that's it. How long before i can get my gc and who to call on USCIS , i mean reliable and can answer questions? Thanks!

Then please send copies of the new evidence/s to both Vermont and Atlanta address along with a copy of your NOA1 and RFE.

I did haed an infopass already this last May 2013 because to get a stamp on my passport since my gc and extension already been expired. When we asked the lady about my case she said it just said pending. And everytime I inquire online about it 5 times , the USCIS in Atlanta Georgia always send me a reply by mail that I am schedule for an interview it's been months already since they said that. That is why we want to send another set of new documents this time with house lease contract and vehicle that we purchased and bills both on our names since we already moved we want to send these all to them but im not sure if I should supposed to send it to Vermont or in the main in Atlanta Georgia since they are the one who sent me back a reply by mail that I am scheduled for an interview.

Hi. My case for Removal of condition is almost 1 year and 5 moths already. I sent the additional evidence when they requested an RFE last year Dec 21, 2012. I think it was not enough documents to show them our bona fide marriage and so we want to submit an update and more evidence to them. I am wondering where should we supposed to submit our documents, Vermont or in the main which is in Atlanta Georgia. I don't have any idea where is my case now. Last we followed up about it , the respond came from Atlanta Georgia which said that I am schedule for an interview but its been 8 months since we said that. We want to try to submit a recent evidences like lease of house contract, purchase of a vehicle both on our name and etc. Should I suppose to submit it in Atlanta or Vermont?

Usually, what documents they require the applicants to bring to them on the time of the interview aside from the original documents that was already been sent to them?

When does one year extension starts and expired for my I-751? My GC expired 7/9/2012 and got the notice of 1 year extended period letter on 4/20/12 after we filed the ROC application. Does it expires on the date i got the letter of one year extension which was 4/20/12 or based on the date of my GC which is 7/9/12? If it is based on the date on GC , it means it is still good until 7/9/13 but if it is good until 4/20/12, it means it will expired soon?

If you don't mind, could you share with other vj members who either already or going to send out their ROC package on what kind of evidence that uscis wanted from you. This will help other vj members who are going to send out their 1-751 package to avoid having RFE from uscis. Thank you.

We've already submitted our bank account transaction as they requested. They want a join mortagage and birth certificate of children but we do not have neither of these so my husband made explanation letters. We have latest affidavits too and driver's license. It's been 45 days they said wait another 2 weeks.

They are behind across the board, if they received it and cashed our check I would relax a little. You filed for married not ROC correct? Check in the correct forum.

Then got a notice of action for additional evidence and we submitted it this january 5, 2013. its been 45 days and haven't got anything. My friends already got their gc and i am ahead filing than them and they got theirs. Wondering if i will get my gc or an interview. Hope i will get my gc soon.

Have you put in a service request? 9 months was the average, your RFE added a month though so 10 months means you're still outside processing time.

Call them and put in a service request. If that doesn't work contact your local senator/congressman and ask them to look into it for you.

Same as for my I-751 it's been 45 days and they said another 2 weeks. What is service request and how to contact the senator/congress?

The USCIS received our additional evidence documents this January 05, 2013. It's been 45 days and i haven't got any notice. My friends already got their GC just recently that was 1 week after their request for evidence docs was submitted. I called USCIS and they said 30 to 45 days and it's been 45 days since we submitted it.Usually, when it take time like this, do you think we will get an interview schedule or production of GC, but why took so long when my friends already theirs?

An RFE isn't a denial. they are merely asking for more information. Were you denied a first time?

We got an RFE wanted us to show the proof of our joints. We have already respond to the RFE. The only joints we have are the bank account and they want us to submit the transaction all throughout the marriage and we did that. The are asking for joint lease/property, and childrens BC, will. My husband made an explanation letter why we do not have the things they want like joint lease, property. We are praying that they get satisfied with the docs we sent them. But what will happen if "ever" they dont get satisfied again, what they gonna do?

I think it will be an interview, but someone here that has more experience can help answering this.

Thank you for your respond. The USCIS send us an RFE and we just responded to that. I have read one topic here they were also scheduled. I am just a lil anxious about the case. We are praying that it'll be fine now and they get satisfied.

I am just wondering, what happend once the I-751 got denied the second time means the USCIS did not get satisfied with the requirements? What is their next step to do to the applicant/petitioner? Are they going to send the applicant back to the country of origin? Thanks.

Ok so when we did a will, the medical power of attorney was included in that. It say such things like you are allowed to decide whether to turn off life supporting machines if the patient is in a vegetative state.

Furthermore, a basic will does not include any mentions of property. It just designates who will get anything you own, be it only clothes, the money in your wallet or what have you. Unless you specify anything, it will not be mentioned. And nobody at USCIS knows what you own. So they wouldn't know that you don't have any valuables.

It might not do much for you personally, but it IS a legal document with your names and signatures which is notarized.

So you mean my husband can make a simple letter stating the all his belongings here like his valueable collections will belong to me when something happens to him? Do you know where can i get a format of that?

Congratulations! I am also a May filers and got an RFE yesterday wanted us to show additional evidence. We dont have any joint properties/land, no children. So what we can provide them are our recent credit cards showing the same address and drivers license of my husband ang my learners permit, transaction of joint bank account, history of bill payment of my husbands life insurnce showing i am the benificiary and showing his on active status on that. If they dont get satisfied with that they can call us to appear and prove our bona fide marriage. We already gave them all the copies we know we have when we submitted it.It's maddening...

Interesting topic. I think my ex-wife on her I-360 could only show maybe a copy of the marriage license and the health insurance card I gave her and we did have a baby. Since I discovered her cheating early she never changed her name, got a bank account, driver's license...nothing. I don't know what other RFE she could show. The OP here seems to have a lot more and they are still asking for RFE? USCIS go figure huh? The thing about VAWA is they seem to overlook a lot of the standard stuff at the VSC.

My husband will try if he can add my name on the title of the old van that we sometimes use. We are just not sure on how it will work i mean how much it would cost us and how long before it gets done. I can't understand the USCIS, what else can a married couple gives if what they only have is what they only have right now. Like for us, we already showed them our joint savings and checking account the first time we submitted and still not satisfied and even wanted to see the transaction we are making all throughout the marriage.

We do not want to get an attorney. For me it will not make any difference , attorney cant add properties and no assurance it'll get approved. So we just give the USCIS what we can produce and have here. If they don't get satisfied then they can call us for an interview. I just want all this to be done before i start my Board exam and try not to worry about it and just concentrate on my certification review.

Yes he can add you to it and have you excluded as a driver this will show him acknowledging you as a household member. Not only does that add you to his policy but it will lower his rate for being married.

To be honest with you they will not care that you owe student loans. If you don't pay them back they will default you and you will still owe them and if you default then you can never get more loans and it is a big mark for the rest of your life on your credit report here in the USA.

So telling them you have student loans will not stop them from denying you. Many people have credit cards and loans and get denied all the time.

What you say you have to send as proof sounds good so send it in to them. Do you have car insurance and are you both on the policy maybe a copy of that could help?

We do have car insurance but my husband can't add me to that since i do not have drivers license yet but only learner's permit. Have you heard anyone got sent back to their own country because of RFE? we do not have any properties even the car is at the name of my inlaw since she sponsored my husband to be able to get that but we pay for it in behalf of the mom. We will see, we are gonna send what we have added now and see what will be the result since my husband stated in the letter we do not have any properties nor children even his health insurance won't cover me because it is under disability medicare of blue cross. If they will require us to appear personally we are willing to attest our bona fide marriage thats what in the letter attached with the additional requirements.

Student loans and grants such as PELL and Workstudy are not means-tested benefits. I am a LPR and a full time student recieving grants. Fill out a FAFSA and you are good to go.

Do you have any idea what happen if a person who has a student loan and in the process of removal of condition? Can they denied the petition if they don't get convinced or satisfied with the evidences that were submitted?
