After the biometrics appointment, How long did you wait for your EAD to arrive in the mail? How many days did you have to wait? who waited the shortest and the longest? (I'm talking to everybody in general)

Djohn - our noa's arrived 10 days after our packet arrived and our biometrics appointment letter came 5 days after our noa's.

Usually takes like 10 days after they received your Package.. but not more than 2 weeks..

My lawyer sent my AOS package last thursday Oct 8, 2009, a day before you sent out yours. Still now they haven't received my package (according to my lawyer, she said it will receive by Wednesday which is tomorrow) I'm having doubts about my lawyer, I think shes talking bullcrap. But whatever I can wait until tomorrow. Congrats to you by the way, all you need to do is wait for your NOA's. Keep us updated though!

I would definitely give it until tomorrow since columbus holiday. Did your lawyer not give you a tracking number? That way you could check it online. I didn't use a lawyer but that is what i did

No she didn't give me a tracking #. But she said she has it tracked as it is a UPS package.

Nevermind. I just finished talking to my lawyer. She said she send it out to Chicago Service Center of USCIS. and she also said I will receive a receipt of notice in two to three weeks, which is I already know it's the NOA's. \

But is it that long that I have to wait? two to three weeks?

I don't think you'll have to wait that long to receive the hard copy receipt notice (NOA1). Mine was dated 4 days after they received my package. I received it in the mail a few days later.

Yes that's what I thought.. I know some of us here received their NOA within the few days after filing. My lawyer sent out the package on October 8 last thursday and she said it will receive by Wednesday which is tomorrow. (due to columbus day on monday) My lawyer is sometimes full of #######. I don't know but hopefully I will receive the NOA's soon. Thanks again Greg.

The most important thing to have is your SS#... If you have that, then you can definitely get a drivers license... Check with your DMV state. I know CA requires SS#.

I did my Medical Examination 2 weeks ago. It only took me 3 days to finish everything. I did my TB test and came out Positive, so the surgeon sent me to a hospital to do a chest xray, it came out normal meaning I don't have a TB. I went back to my surgeon the same day, the hospital faxed him the result and he put and sealed everything in the envelope. Good luck to everyone else thats doing the medical examination.

Welcome to VJ.

Once you get your NOA, you can check your case status online at USCIS. You need the receipt number from your NOA. You can also sign up for email updates.

Like KM24 said, the next step after receiving the NOA will be biometrics.
