  1. Your friend will be okay. They are married now, right? Next step is he and his spouse should find a good lawyer (its better to have a lawyer since your friend was overstayed with a visitor visa) Bring the marriage cerfitificate and make sure he completes the medical examination. He'll be okay with a good lawyer. Trust me. Tell him to have faith and just pray.

  2. Hello guys~ those of you that are waiting for the BIO--- you can always do an early walk in! it doesn't matter what date you have on your actual appt letter, you can walk in anytime with your appt letter and passports and take your fingerprints. Hubby received his GC today in the mail, 8 days after our AOS interview. So, definitely do the early walk in~ it saved us like 3 weeks of processing time ^_^

Congrats on getting the GC within 8 days.. By the way, so you're saying once i receive my biometrics letter, can i just do a walk in the next day and just show them the paper?

  3. Is there any way if I call the 1800 number that I can get my case number? I still have not received my NOA's I realized that the address on the application was the one to the apartment but we don't use that one anymore we have a PO box. We did do a change of address at the post office and they said we should get all the mail that is sent to the apartment to our PO Box. However he also said that it might take up to two weeks for the mail to show up at the PO Box... I'm worried that I will get my biometrics letter late. When I called yesterday the USCIS person said it hadn't been sent , but by looking at some of the posts I am noticing that they may not always be correct. I don't know how else to find out if a biometrics appointment has been scheduled . I am so sad :(. I should have put the PO Box on the applications!

I received my NOA's yesterday... Did you try going to your old apartment? I think even if some of your mails goes to your old apartment address, I'm sure it will be mailed back and hopefully will be put to your P.O box. Just hang in there cause I know some of us are worrying about getting our NOA's & Biometrics letter. Wait for tomorrows mail.. Keep us updated!

  4. It's been 11 days and I haven't received my NOA's... whats going on?

By the way, the checks were cashed already but still no NOA's...

    I'll wait until tomorrow.

    new update from me..

On October 21, 2009, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action.

oh yeah, that means, I can see my case status update online for i485.. ;).. not for others, but all good!!! and I haven't received the notice in post as yet!

:) ... tomorrow is biometrics appointment!!

@Djohn : I believe your NOA will be in your mailbox by tomorrow. Your timeline is pretty cloes to mine. My packet reached USCIS on 13th, NOA was dated 20th and delivered to me by 23rd. So dont worry :star:

@Simbafuzz : Congratz on transferred! I read on forum if your case is transferred it means NO interview.yay!

Thanks! I'll try not to worry about it and just patiently wait. I'll keep you updated! thanks again --- :D

That's weird Djohn. Usually the NOAs come around when the checks clear the bank. Hopefully, just slow mail delivery. Most people also get their biometrics appt letter shortly after the NOA. Look for that too.

For us it's been over 3 weeks since our NOA date and still no bio letter. Like you, I'll wait and see if it is in tomorrows mail.

I'll wait for tomorrows mail as well. hopefully it's in there. i'll keep you updated once i receive my NOA's.

  6. Hi All,

I created a spreadsheet for the October filers to track our progress through the AOS process.

Thanks to JimandChristy from the September group for the format.

Here is the link: October 2009 AOS Filers Spreadsheet

The link is also in my signature.

Please check out the data and let me know of any incorrect or missing data. Also, let me know if you filed the I-693 with your AOS filing.

This is good thinking! Thanks Greg! I will keep you updated. Hopefully I receive my NOA's tomorrow.

  7. That's the answer)) I live in Chicago, that's why I already got my I NOA's, I guess. Because all documents I sent also in Chicago)) It will be in 1-2 extra days for you) I am pretty sure, that USCIS already mailed it for you.

Ooohh thats why. Well yea I guess I'll wait another day. I will keep you and everyone else updated! Thanks!

Hello everyone! Glad to hear some good news from this thread already!! Hope it keeps coming!!

  8. Guys, I got my NOA's. ( I-130, I-485, I - 765) It is written that applications were received. But my checks are not cleared yet! What does it mean? That they still didn't have a look at my petitions? I cant be sure that everything all right with my documents?

Welcome, new folks, who joined us! Have a nice visa journey trip:a way to freedom and ability to be with our dearest ones!
