  1. OI! Right after I posted that I went to check our status and GUESS WHAT?!?!?!? Both AP & EAD WERE APPROVED JUST NOW TODAY!! LITERALLY at 8:30pm I got the e-mail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Question: for the AP it says this:

On December 4, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I131 APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

The button "Post-Decision Activity" is highlighted. Does this mean we need to do something else to actually get the AP? Is it a piece of paper? Card? Not quite sure

Wow! I was just talking to you earlier! hehe CONGRATS!!

    By the way guys, what is exactly this means when your status is on;

    "Document production or Oath Ceremony"

thats where my status is on.. at the very last one.

Is that for your EAD? That means they ordered the card and you should receive it soon :)

Yes for my EAD. I wanted to make sure what it is. but okay I got it now! Thanks again!

    Document production or Oath Ceremony

On December 4, 2009, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a green card) or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, refugee travel documents or advance parole). Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application.

    Congrats Djohn.

Thanks Greg! Finally right? hehe

  7. WOW sooooo many approvals already!! Congrats to those who got their GCs and interview letters!!!!   This is so exciting!

I should stop checking our case status online everyday since it seems like they hardly ever update it!! The I-130 hasn't been touched in a month but maybe they actually have looked it

EAD card Received in mail today, now waiting for AOS

Congrats on getting the EAD card. we're almost have the same timeline.. but still now i haven't received any emails about my EAD.. still waiting for that.

  8. Guys check this out -- I called USCIS and before I got to talk to a representative, the automated machine said that they mailed out something to me on novermber 27, 2009 but it was undeliverable so it was sent back to the post office. So then i got transferred to a representative and he asked for my I485 receipt number so then I gave it to him. Then i asked what it is that mailed out to me on Nov 27, 2009.. so he said okay and puts me on hold.. He got back on the phone and said "okay sir we haven't sent anything to you since your biometric letter and i know you've already done your biometric appointment so you don't need to worry. next thing you will receive is your EAD card which you will get in the mail, THE LATEST IS JANUARY."

hhmmm. really? I didn't wanna ask why January because I didn't wanna look like i'm in a hurry. Sucks for me I have to wait another month to receive the EAD card. hopefully I get the approval soon though.

Btw, on my case status online, the last update was Nov 16, 2009 which was 3 days after my biometric appointment.

you should call back and give your receipt number for i765 the employment. When I called about my biometrics they asked for my 485 receipt number and said that they had not sent anything to me (at the time I was waiting for biometrics) I then called back and this time gave my I 765 receipt number and was told my biometrics was mailed out. Just a thought.

Well I did give them a call back and they told me the same thing.. I will receive my EAD throughout January.

I am hoping they just gave you an "estimated" date to play it safe. Honestly speaking being in the dark till january feels like eternity. I have interviews scheduled in january as I anticipated by then will have my EAD in hand and get my DL renewed. This news is a wake up call!!

Hakuna, Yes thats what I was thinking as well. They just told me that because that is the estimated time for EAD. I am not worrying much at all. I was just surpsised when they told me that.

  11. should i be worried..there are no touches for my AP and EAD...

and i had my bio last nov 18 but no more updates anymore and i can see in the timeliness from others, they have their EAD and AP already..how sad

  13. Hello,

Today at 9:15pm my work permit card production was ordered. =) One thing less to worry about.

    Good luck to everybody.

Congrats elafito on your EAD approval!

Thank you! Does anybody know if it would be legal for me to work even if I still don't have the card?

Congrats. Yes you are legal to work but since you don't have the actual EAD card, you're going to have to fill out a form. But if i were you, I'll just wait for the EAD card. that's what i'm doing right now. Good luck.
