my patience is as strong as my disappointment. i know what i have to be, i don't know why I have to be it!
c'mon America! i love you but you keep people apart for too long! We need to do better as a nation. Much better.
this is one journey I wish I could have been without. the one journey i have to take. the hardest road is always the needless one. patience is not a virtue, it is a necessity, engrained in us all. patience is what is left after everything else has been brutally, savagely, taken.
if i must be patient it is not for patience's sake, but for my sweetheart. who on this journey is patient!? we are not patient we are eager, restless, and stressed! patience I would kill were it not immortal, strong, everlasting, ruinous to kill.
it is the patience that is trying my patience!
i am a rock, a mountain, patience must wait for me. i will wait for her.
i will wait eagerly, not patiently!
Ok you think that you're waiting a LONGTIME

Thanks for your quick reply, and the info.

Does anyone know how to contact Ciudad Juarez? I mean like email or the phone number?
Thanks in advance!

Morning to my VJers, and sorry if this is posted somewhere else. Ok so I called the NVC and they gave me my new NVC# and the date it left the center. My question is how to I know or how can I track it when and if it actually gets to Ciudad Juarez? Also, who do I need to call to see if we've already got our interview date setup? YES, I'm freaking out b/c we've waited this long, anyway any help is VERY much appreciated.
Also I've tried the DHL to see if I can track it and I can't so if anyone can tell me how thanks in advance.

I know it's off topic a bit, but I just wanted to say hi since I am from AR also! Good luck with your journey and I am crossing my fingers for you!
Hi what part of Arkansas are you from? We're from the Hot Springs area. Thanks I'll keep my fingers crossed for you guys also.
Good luck to you both!
I don't know, since I processed through Montreal. google it perhaps?Yep, google is my best friend...lol.. thanks!

it is not recommended to annoy IO's with constant phone calls as long as they are within processing times. Patience is your best friend.
Mmmm you have a point....we've waited this long what's another couple of months. Is there a site to see what their processing times are? Probably not right.

That only means your case has been processed and your file is in CDJ now. Next up = interview.
Thanks for the quick reply. When do you think I should call to see if they've gotten our file??

Yesterday as I was driving home from work I decided I was going to call the NVC ( yes I know not very safe). I gave them our information and they told me that our file has been sent to the Consulate in Ciudad Juarez on the 24th of December. I couldn't be any happier and most definetly excited!!!
Now the question is what comes next? Can anyone help me on this??
HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!

Hola Lori,
Uds tambien cuidense mucho y Feliz Año 2010!!!

Don't lose hope, it took us a little over a year to ever get our approval notice from VSC. Then just out of nowhere I get a text and email saying that they have approved out K-1. Yes its hard waiting and trust me I know about waiting, but like the other person said try and not think about too much and try and occupy your time with something else (not that it helps).
Anyways, best of luck to you and your future spouse.
HAPPY NEW YEAR AND GOD BLESS!!

Thanks guys for your quick reply! I really appreciate it. According to the other forums that I've read in Mexico it says that you don't need the police certificates, but I think that we're going to play it safe anyway. We don't want to have to wait another year like we have done so far.
BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE AND THANKS AGAIN!!!

Ok so now that we got approved I called the NVC and they said the only information they have is that's its undergoing additional review. Anyone know what that means? Also I have read in other posts about packages 3 and 3. What are they and what do they consist of? Also, more than likely my future hubby's interview will be at the US Embassy in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, how long did any of you have to wait??
Thanks for all of your replies and if you have anymore advice or help I would really appreciate it.
THANKS AND GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!!

We sent our I129f got a RFE in May and then about 2 weeks ago we got our approval notice.. question is what happens now and what package # our we expecting. What information is it that we're going to get to get togather? Thanks for all of your help and support.
-
We didn't wait 2 yrs thank God like some did. But this whole year being apart has been really hard none the less, I have gone to see him so that's been easy and we also talk on the phone ALOT. So whew at least now we know that we're approved and on to the next step. Does anyone know what are some things that we might need to get togather for the interview??
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!

Praise God, I finally got a text this morning that we were approve!!! And it only took a year. So now I have no clue as to what to do they said that I should get the hardcopy notice in the mail in a couple of days. So if anyone could please help me and to what to do next I would really appreciate it.

ok I know I'm getting ahead of myself here but does it really matter what the POE is? I mean can I drive down to Mexico and pick him up or does he have to fly in? To met I think that it would be easier to just drive. Anyone know, by the way we're closer to the Texas-Mexico border.
Thanks guys!
-
ok so I answered the poll and really this 2nd question doesn't apply to me also. Reason well, because we met through a friend in the same city in which we both lived in.
Well, best wishes to all!
-
I'm with you there... the wait is driving me completely insane. Can you imagine the jealousy I have towards the VSC guys and gals.
LOL I KNOW!!! when I first filed I was like, wow, I'm glad I don't have to file @ VSC.... sigh.... who would have thought they would be so quick!
well I don't know about being lucky because we filed at VSC..... sigh....you see we've been waiting since Dec of 2008 and so far all we've gotten from VSC is a RFE.

this part of this process confuses me when does he get the packet that u can not open? will it say do not open on it?
After the interview and once the Visa has been approved - the beneficiary is sent a package (some countries it's to be picked up by the beneficiary) - inside the package is their passport with the visa inside and another envelope that says "Do Not Open" - this envelope is to be carried on the airplane and given to the CBP officer when clearing the POE.
It contains (for those terribly curious) most of the forms etc that you have sent in to this point (so nothing you haven't already seen before).
ok now I have a question do you have to fly into a POE or can you drive to one, see my fiance is in Mexico and I think it would just be easier to drive there and get him since we only live about 10 hrs away from the border???

Dear VJers,
I am very upset with the way our case is processed. I had sent our 129 F on May 26,2009 to CSC. CSC has received the case on May 28th. On August 28th we received an email RFE, then the hard copy a week later. the RFE was the proof of our meeting in the last 2 years...I sent the dated photos, passport stamps, tickets and etc... On Septermber 10, they received the RFE resposne and since then we have no news.
It has been almost 2 months and we have not received the answer on our RFE. I see here, that most of the people get their NOA2 in less than a week...
I have called million times to USCIS, but I get the same answer that we they have 60 days to reply...
My questions to you dear VJers:
1. Has anyone experienced such a delay in RFE processing?
2. If I dont get the response in 60 days, what can I do? Has anyone called USCIS and got their issue resolved if they pass the deadline?
I am afraid, if I call them after 60 days, they won't do anything, except asking me to be patient...
Any advice here?
Thank you for your support !
Hi and I can honestly say that ####### YES it does happen I'm experiencing the same #######. I got the same thing "we have taken your information please wait 60 days". Only I called after the waiting period and finally just asked to speak to an officer, the one I got was really nice and answered all of my question course he told me I should get an email and did and it told me that it was under initial review and should get answer in 60 days which make it until Dec. Also keep in mind that we have been waiting since Dec 2008. I also tried emailing my Senator and Congressman a month ago and still haven't gotten an answer.
GOOD LUCK AND BEST WISHES!!!!

Hi everyone like I said I'm sorta new and most def. learning. One questione I do have is what's Igor's List and what if I don't find my case on there? Does that mean they haven't touched it or have they "lost" it, or is it just sitting somewhere?????
Hey,
If you filled out your time line you should be able to find your name on Igors list. Go to "Immigration Time Lines" at the top of the page. click on Igors list and then fill out the search for your service center and date of NoA1 and then look for your NoA1 date then you and your S/O's name. It will let you know approx. how long you are in line to wait. But some ppl do not fill out their time lines or they abandon their accounts and it not completely "Dead on point" accurate but will give you the gist of where you are at in line for adjudication.
"Touch" means anytime USCIS looks or moves your petition package. It may because they are adjudicating it or they moved it to another part of the building, pretty much any time they touch it. You can tell when you have been "Touched" by logging on to your USCIS CRIS account and look at the part that says "Last Updated" then if the date is different then your NoA1 date, you have been "Touched". I never got a touch or anything during my wait.
Good luck.
Thanks for the reply that really helped!
package 3 in Mexico
in Working & Traveling During US Immigration

Hello my fellow VJers, my question is can anyone tell me what package 3 consists of so that I can start getting it together. I know that our file is in Ciudad Juarez now, so I want to start getting prepared for the interview, or is there anything that needs to be sent to him for him to take to the interview?
Thanks a million!!
