  1. By the way...today is our 5 month wedding anniversary.

5 months of not being together...I don't know whether to laugh or cry....this whole process sucks...there's got to be a better way...

I agree 100%. Who in there right mind would want to go this route? Perhaps that is why millions keep tried alternative routes.Seems to be working for them or so many would not be trying it. Once they are here they get all the benifits and none of the restrictions. Then they wait for amnesty while they are where they want to be. This current system is broke and in my view does little to protect USC from anything.

  2. i'm trying to use pencil but u can barely see it :-( I dont want to push too hard cuz it might ruin the photo. has anyone else used pen to write on the back of passport photos without a problem? or can i use a post it or something?

Perhaps you are not using a soft leaded pencil. Check to see if its a # 2 lead. If its light but you can read it then they can. Mine was also light but readable.

  3. Hello friends.

I booked my seat for friday nov 19th for my wife's interview on nov 23rd. i will be with her on the day, but not sure if it will help or not... i read that they tell the petitioner to take the seat in the waiting area. well atleast it will give my wife peace of mind. lets see.

Its nice you can go there. I am sure you wife will appreciate your presence and support. I hope they let you join her. I cant understand why they would not allow you to attend. I have read where others have. Good luck and have a safe flight.

  4. As I will not be at the Embassy Interview, I have ask my wife to write up a description of her interview experience. That might take her a little while. She will be leaving to Manila in about 8-10 hours and spending the night in a hotel there so that she can make the 0630 appointment. I am confident that this experience will seem anticlimactic resulting from the time it has taken us to get there. I think it will be more procedural than anything else as they know more about me than my family does. So we will give Caesar his do and pay proper respect to ensure we get our approval.

I would like to see a 100% approval rate for all November VJ interviews we have listed. Keep the faith and know that we have done our preparations thanks to the information of those who have gone before us.

    Till Then :thumbs::star::whistle:

  5. My wife's going to slaughter me when she finds out how many shots she has to take. I never bothered to ask her if she still has her vaccination record. I think she does, I need to get a copy of that so i can compare it with the current requirement and see how many she's missing. i can't find a list of required vaccine for Bangladeshi children as required by Bangladesh. She has a lot of test this week so I can't bother her too much. But if anyone knows the required vaccines in Bangladesh, I'd appreciate it. Oh, and not the requirement by US. I already have that.

Loto, glace over my IV package and give your blessing. I'm sure I'm going to ask it again on Wednesday just before sending it.

Not clear what you're asking. Why do you care what Bangladesh shot requirements are. Maybe I misread your post. You might be able to find what you want here. For Children also. I think they discuss travel in both directions but I didnt look that hard.

  6. Got Approved for my Mother and Father as of 1210pm .....

We did receive a BLUE PAPER because my mother failed to take addtional documents with her.. (old passport with active us visa) ... Feeel free to checkout the detailed Embassy review for the Jamaica consulate after 30 min. from this post...

    Thank you Guys..Everyone of you...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I read your detailed experience. Man... I dont know why stuff like that has to happen. I also think you handled it well as I dont always when things dont seem right to me. The good news is its over and you dont have to deal with that anymore where they live with themselves ever day till the end. Glad the TN drivers license came in handy...

Get back here to TN . Sure you want to move to Atlanta... So crowded and well just not Nashville.

  7. As I sit here waiting for my IV payment to clear (christ, it's always something; initiated it 29-OCT-2010 00:14, and STILL waiting - the AOS was cleared in 20 hours), ok, so I got the message loud and clear about writing the NVC# on all documents - does that include originals of her NBI, birth certificate, our marriage license, etc? Just a little leery of doing that without the go-ahead.

I wrote mine on the Originals but I used a post-it type tape that could be removed without damage to the document.

  8. Got Approved for my Mother and Father as of 1210pm .....

    Thank you Guys..Everyone of you...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CONGRATs!!! Nice Leadoff Richardo. I am sure everyone is very happy!!!

  9. Do we really need to write NVC case number on upper right cornor of DS-230 form and any other documents? Doesn't barcoded cover sheet takes care of all the documents enclosed with it? confused ! blink.gif

Yes you are. What have you been Reading? This has been the practice of everyone that I know of. Of course you dont need to put it on the Cover sheet. THe purpose for this in my view is in the event something was misplaced or separated they would be able to get it back to the package it belonged in. They have many packages they are dealing with and many are similar...

  10. Hi guys! A quick update- we had our NVC case num assigned on 21st Oct and today we finally got e-mails and my husband paid the AOS fee. The IV fee bill is not yet genarated so I'm going to wait till Thursday and if they haven't generated it by then I will e-mail the scanned DS-3032 (since that's what Loto suggested :) and see what happens.

I do have a question though (I might have asked that before.. :bonk: ) regarding my civil documents. I obtained everything that is required, paid for Apostilles for each doc and translated everything myself. Nowhere on the NVC's web page did I see a requirement that the documents must be translated in one of those specialised offices so I figured just notarized copies/originals with an apostille + a translation in English should be good enough. I'm ready to ship everything but I also don't want to get a RFE.... what you guys think?

Don't know what Apostilles are. I am not sure on this because translations were not an issue for us. I would guess that translations would need to be from a reputable organization which would ensure accuracy. If they accepted translations from anyone then they would not have much confidence that the translations are accurate. Just my view.

  11. Hello all, please can someone hint me on how long it could take for my names to be corrected after I've emailed a scan copy of my passport and USCIS approval notice? Called NVC this morning and the lady i got on phone recommended I scan and email to nvc.

Secondly what time does NVC system update during the day (it used to be 3PM is it still same) . for AOS fees and others. I am going ahead with payments and from what i found out this morning, the AOS had been deducted from my account.

    Thank u all

Dont worry about it. It will take what ever time it takes. What ever we think is not material.

Focus on what you have control over. Make sure that when you send/submit your documents you provide them with complete documentation of your case. Case number, Petitioners name Date of Birth, Bennifiarys Name and Date of Birth. Also have the Case Number on the upper right hand corner of the documents for each page you send. I would also include a letter explaining what you have sent in and why you are doing so.

  12. She needede a new passport. The one she just got had het birth date all wrong. The interview itself was long 45 minutes but fair. We knew why they would need to ask these question. Might get visa end of this week.

Your interview is so soon :-)

    good luck.

Thanks. Well you passed and thats Great  just get the new passport and your in!!!

Yeah the misses tried to call me tonight but I have the phone in the other room and didnt hear it ring. I could hear her disappointment on the answering machine. I emailed her to tell her I was home but I dont know if she has access to email at the moment. Such is life...

  13. Hi, I hope your mother in law feels better.

I saw that you paid AOS fee a few days. I am trying to pay this fee from yesterday using ONline system. I get in the system. I check the "select" button. I click the "pay fee button" but I keep getting the same screen again and again. It never moves to the next step. What am I doing wrong?

It might be your browser. Try Explorer I have heard others say Google Chrome, Firefox have problems.

  14. Because of the way things unfolded for me, I am thinking of sending in both packages together: I am ready to send the AOS tomorrow morning, but my payment for the IV is pending - I paid it like 4 minutes after midnight Eastern time, technically Friday morning, so I imagine it will go through tomorrow or Tuesday. Is it ok to send them in together Express Mail? And if so, to what address/whose attention?

    Thanks,

    Jon

Address is on the Bar Code Cover sheet. Same address for both. By the way if you send them together make sure they are clearly separated from one another and both have cover sheets with bar-code. Its really up to you as to whether you send them in Separate or together. Just make sure the invoice shows paid. Good Luck

We have all waited so long and now the time is upon us!!! Please no pushing, shoving or rushing to get over to the playing field. There is plenty of room for all. So here is the First Week of the Five Week November Line up , for the VJ TEAM !!

    NOVEMBER INTERVIEW DATES-----Total: 14

First up for the VJ team for Nov 1 is nrodgsxr, you can see the determination of her face. Team mates are cheering in anticipation of their success. Richardo is on deck pitch hitting for his parents with the look of full concentration. His hands tightly gripping the bat as the pitcher warms up. This will be followed on Nov 3rd by TomD his spouse has been coached for months waiting for her time at bat. She shows some signs of nervousness but has confidence in her abilities with a never say die attitude, Mamamimi husband will be following up and appears to be extremely tired but happy from a hard weekend of training. He has determination but some stiffness in his stride. Next is muñequita but there are rumors that they may be a no show. Which brings us to Nov 4th and nix and lai. This God fearing woman is still in the dugout making the sign of the cross but is anxious to get on deck after months of intent preparation and practice. SOLIL will complete the week with a strong finish. She has waited her whole life for this moment and will not falter. This is a team of destiny we cannot be denied… We have meet every challenge so far and have no doubt of the final outcome. Yes we have stumbles and taken backward steps but kept our forward looking goals in our hearts and here we are, READY, WILLING and ABLE ...

  17. WE Were APPROVED. I am so happy. Now just waiting for the visa to come in the mail through DomEX!!!! the Interview was only like 5 Mins if that... but we waited 6 hours for our interview!!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! 6 hours is a long wait. Makes us wonder why or how the set appointments. But its over now and your Approved and completed. Way to go...:dance: This month has shown us 10 + approvals and some who have not reported in. Now its Novembers turn at bat!!!

MARCH 2010 where are you ??? Celebrating I hope...:dance:

  18. My Wife is from Los Banos, Laguna. I am living outside of Nashville and also have a home in the SF Bay Area (East Bay). Hoping she will be with me soon. After that who knows where we will end up... Just know it will not be to cold...

  19. @ nix and lai Thank You Very Much... I need it especially since all we are taking to the Interview are

    1. AppointMent Letter

    2. Medical packet

    3. Passport & Passport Size photos.

I wanted to carry a copy of all the documents submitted to the NVC but there were some issues with the Sponsor and the Co-Sponsor... I hope all goes well..

Ricardo I am sure all will be fine but of course until they give you approval there will be some nervousness. Thats only natural because of the importance of all of this.

TO ALL NOV Interviewee's, Please allow me to play mother hen... Ricardo just posted the TOP 3 DOC's to bring. Without these your interview might get rescheduled so bring them. Remember for those who have trouble being on time ... BE ON TIME!!!!!!!!!!! Also bring copies of all the the other documents you submitted during this long VISA process. Additionally bring photos and communication logs & letters that support your relationship if you have them, any joint accounts or evidence of support. Also each country may have specific documents that will be required of you. Know what they might be and have them with you also. Prepare and Organize all of these documents so that you can quickly provide them to your interviewer if they should ask. I would also recommend that we only answer questions ask of us and not ramble or volunteer any additional information. Lastly after the interview is over ASK for your Original documents back (Birth Certificates, Marriage license, etc.) Just have copies of these documents to provide them as a replacement.

Good Luck to all and get your rest as best as you can before your interview and know that this is the final phase on this long journey. After you get your visa approved the real work truly begins. haha :hehe:
