  1. I understand your frustration a bit because I have had numerous discussions with my husband about procrastinating on important stuff. Hey, but it should turn out fine soon enough for you and me; love makes us want to bang our heads against the wall :bonk: sometimes, but when you love the other person, it all comes down to accepting their limitations even if it drives you up the wall at times (I would know  ).

Plus, who knows how this whole processes is making the beneficiaries feel. We are already here and it is like their lives are hanging (more) in the balance. It must be stressful and to top it off, they have to be questioned about their love for their husband/wife. Because of that I am putting a stop to my worrying. I will try my best to support my husband. We have only a few days to go before they interrogate, ok I mean interview him. Good vibes all of next week and the week after. Same to you and the other people in our thread waiting for final decisions. :star:

Your right of course and my head hurts from :bonk:. Now my wife said she doesn't have appendicitis because the pain has subsided but the Dr wants to do a CT scan which tells me he isn't convinced and neither am I. I told her to get the CT scan because she does not want a flare up at 30,000 ft. They should also be checking her White cell count and other symptoms. Why she has waited 4 days already to get it verify is beyond me. One should not mess with this kind of situation in my view as the down side is to sever. I also ask her to call the Embassy Monday and then we will know what to do as her departure date was planned to be Dec 1. If she can't make that then we will figure out what to do from that point.

Here's to all the Head Bangers...Hang in there our time will surely come. :hehe: Oh I need a break...

    It works for me Jujuswife.

I still have no news to report. I received a response to my email to the Embassy and they stated that they did receive the document they needed but so far have not provided us with any additional news. Ask the wife to call the Embassy on Monday for a status update. However, when I spoke to her on Thursday she told me she was told by a Dr there that she had an appendix that needed to be removed. She said she wanted an second opinion. When I spoke to her she was as work and I told her she needed to get that second Opinion ASAP. Haven't heard any thing since. This whole thing is starting to get to me...Will see what Monday brings. Bachelorhood is starting to look good to me.

  3. Having a great time seeing & visiting my friends and Family. I have turned into the designated driver because everyone else is hurting to much to drive.haha.

We are planning the Thanksgiving day festivities and will have a house full I am sure.

My wife is not feeling so well. I think its stress related but she is seeing a Doctor to see whats up. We still has not received anything from the Embassy which is the pits but I am hoping maybe this week. These SOB's sure know how to drag things out. If we don't hear by the 22nd we will call them.

    Wishing everyone the best...

  4. INTERVIEW REVIEW!!

I traveled to Santiago Chile to be with my husband for his interview. We stayed in a hotel acrooss the street from the USEM in Santiago. We arrived an hour early for the interview. We were the first ones on line, everyone is scheduled at 1:30pm. Around 1:00pm they let us inside the embassy and we went inside where the interviews are given. By the way the Embassy is beautiful and very big. We sat down and exactly at 1:30 window #8 called my husband's number (1), she asked him if anyone was with him and he called me to the window and I was greeted by a very friendly woman. I went back to sit down, my hubby then signed the second part of DS230, he was asked if he had ever been married before and if he had children. After he answered no, she asked him to have a seat and wait for the Consul interview at window #6. We waited about 10 minutes and someone at window 6 called my husband by name. As soon as she greeted him she asked him to place his fingers on the scanner (fingerprints) when he was done she asked if anyone was with him... so he called me to the window and I greeted the Consul (she spoke spanish) and after she asked me who I was she asked my husband how we met. He told her our story and then she asked me the reason why USCIS expedited our application, I told her why (in english) and then she asked my hubby what he did for work in Chile. She smiled and then said ok go to the DHL desk and pay. Have a great life! We were not asked for any evidence what so ever!! trust me we were ready for anything... When I got back to the hotel I emailed the Embassy and informed them that I knew that I was not supposed to buy a ticket for my husband but I had and our travel date together was for 11/11/2010. I asked if the Visa could be given withing the time I was to travel as a curtesy, if not I would have to change the ticket. I received a response within an hour informing me that they would do their best to have it ready by then. They also wished us luck in our new life.. DHL delivered all docs for travel and visa on Tuesday November 9th...

We travelled to NY on the 11th and arrived at JFK international Airport on the 12th. They processed him (scanned his right 4 fingers) and sent us to sector #4 where he was asked to sign and again give a print of index finger. No questions at all... I credit God for everything going so smoothly, everyone we came in contact with was super friedly and kind. Over all, the interview at window 8 was about 6 minutes and the interview at window 6 was about 10 minutes.

I forgot to mention that he handed his medical sealed envelope at window 8!!:bonk: :bonk:

    Emily Sannuti

Sounds like Destiny to me!!! Have a great and fruitful life Mrs Sannuti. (F)

  5. "Cut and Paste", It has been very difficult for my girl to understand "write/print/signature/copy/original". It took me 2 weeks to get an

"original copy" of our DS230 from her. Now it will take another week to get a DS230 with the original signature.

  Tell me about it. That's the road we have chosen. I had lots of problems and still have for that matter. Silly things like My wife didn't want to appoint me on the DS-3032! :o I was like  but it was finally worked out. I am hoping it will be easier once we are face to face. I think a lot of it comes from Miscommunication. We assume they know and they think they understand. Neither of which is accurate. God help us all.

  6. Yeah, I'm a little ocd and it was much easier just to tell her to forward it and delete all the parts that showed "forward". She can cut the heck out of hair and style it but not the brightest when it comes to computers and online stuff. We spent about three hours going over the DS-230 line by line so she was already tired of me asking her questions and having her look through things over and over again. I told her that's all that's needed for now since I have all the police certificate, marriage license and documents to submit to the NVC. What's awesome is that I have a friend that is visiting Cambodia right now and she's gonna give my friend the forms to bring to me instead of sending it in the mail. Save some money from that. I'll be flying over there a week or so before her interview and will be there with her when she goes and get her medical done so the bulk of it is done.

 That's a good plan. I have a friend living in the capital now. Haven't heard from him in a while so he might be back in Thailand. Take care and I would not worry about it I am sure NVC gets much worse for many others...
  7. I have been reading the post here and find myself in the same situation as Seahawk21.

My wife only had a copy of her NSO Marriage certificate with her at her interview. She gave the original one she had to the passport people when she renewed her passport to have her name changed. As a result, she did not get an approval at her interview and she had to go to the NSO Pasay office and pay for another copy.

I was told that the Embassy picks up documents at the NSO office every Friday. The Embassy now has a copy of the NSO document as of Monday Nov 8. Her interview was on Nov 3 and she went right to the NSO office after leaving the Embassy Interview. When I found out what happened I sent an email to the Embassy asking if they got the NSO document. I got an email today responding to that inquiry. The email I got is posted below. They were not able or willing to commit to any date which I understand. How long it take to get the darn VISA I don't know as I am still waiting. I think Seahawks question was how long will he have to wait to receive the VISA once they have the NSO document. Everyone seems to have gotten focus on what the document is called but never asnwered the question. I am guessing 10 days from the time they receive the NSO document. I know people who were approved at the Interview received their Courier package in about 3-4 days. I am hoping she can fly on Dec 1. If anyone has had to deal with this situation before Seahawk12 and I would like to know how long it took to get your VISA. Thanks.. GO MANNY.. :hehe:

This is the EMbassy Email I recieved...

This is in reply to your inquiry of November 10, 2010, regarding the visa case of the referenced individual.

We received the requested civil documentation for Justina Davis directly from the Philippine National Statistics Office (NSO) and included this in our review of the case. As soon the adjudicating consular officer is able to review the information, we will notify the applicant.

The time required to process a visa application to conclusion varies from case to case depending on the complexity of the case itself and the number and complexity of other cases awaiting review. We advise our clients not to finalize travel plans, dispose of their properties, or give up jobs until a visa is actually delivered to the applicant. We are simply unable to commit to issuing a visa on a certain date.

If Ms. Davis would like to inquire further about the status of the visa case, she may contact the Embassy's Visa Call Center at telephone 1-909-101-7878. This number is for subscribers of PLDT and Smart telephone touchtone landlines with national and international distance dialing features (NDD or IDD access). Callers in the USA can contact the Call Center at 1-888-877-9888. The Call Center is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Manila time). There is a fee assessed to callers by the Call Center for its services.

We hope this information is helpful to you.

  8. Hi All,

I have a question. My wife only had a copy of her NSO Marriage certificate with her at her interview. She gave the one she had to the passport people when she renewed her passport. As a result she had to go to their Pasay office and pay for another copy. Well the Embassy now has a copy. My question is has anyone experience a similar issue and how long did it take for the Embassy to courier the VISA to their house. Her interview was on Nov 3rd and I am hoping she can fly on Dec 1... Any thoughts on this... Thanks.. GO MANNY..

My fiancee and daughter are in incheon right now waiting for their flight to atlanta, they arrive in atlanta at 9:20 am....:dance::dance::dance:

NOW there is a happy Man... Great news Mike... Hope you can get some sleep while your waiting...

  9. USPS attempted to deliver my DS-3032 today. Of course, today is a federal holiday...so a notice was left. No surprise.

I was surprised, though, that USPS is working today! Isn't that strange???

They don't deliver on Holidays. I got a attempt to deliver several times on Sat and Sun and they didn't. It just something with their tracking that shows it at that. Nothing really to worry about. It just the way it is with them.

  10. Update: I was just bored right now and check to the NVC payment portal for the heck of it. And to my surprise i got a SIF. I didnt believe it at the first try, entered information again, got SIF again. didnt believe it again, did this 4 times and then had my wife try it as well and got the same result. SIF!!!!! Just to make sure i call the AVR to check what it says on there and i heard the

Your Case was completed on November 10, 2010. Please allow 8 weeks for further instructions.

I dont get it how i got the SIF without a checklist. I didnt submit my passport office PCC. I am hoping that I get an interview letter and checklist for it to take to the interview. Is there a chance for December Interview? PRAYING PRAYING PRAYING.

Thanks for your help everyone. really appreciate it.

Well its about time! WHy are you dragging your feet? :hehe: Glad you got the SIF, but you still need Case Complete. The final review can take several more days. So look for that next JD... Yes the checklist of sorts will come with interview papers but don't rely on it 100%. Ours said nothing about a Marriage Certificate issued by NSO but they ask at the interview. These people can be sneaky... So have the PCC original there along with other docs specific to your country.

Glad your still moving ...

  11. Yeah, I hope he will not let his advisers take the wheel and run the show. I don't think he's corrupt either. Anybody who will not take advantage of the people, I think, is more qualified than those in the position. Maybe you can run for government?:P:lol:

I really am glad your friends didn't get more serious injuries.

, I won't be late that's for sure! I hope they won't send me home again this time. It's a 45min drive from my house, and I really want to get this over with. :P

Any news with your wife's visa?

I wish I had some news but No News yet. I ask her to call the Embassy on Wednesday if we don't hear by then. Don't worry once I know for sure you will probably hear my Yelling. :P

Me? Run for office. I am not Pinoy so that could never happen. Besides I don't have enough Pesos to buy the votes I would need. ha ha  I would also be assassinated I am sure...

I am sure they will be ready tyhis time for your interview.

  12. Hello all my friends!!

Just wanted to give an update... I received my husbands Visa within three days of interview and today we are going home to NY!! So very happy and grateful to God for all his help!!

The Embassy here in Chile was outstanding!! I will write a full review once I get home...

Thanks to all who helped me along the way, I am very grateful...

    Emily

Emily, I&G and all the others who are soon to be headed home. As all journeys this one to will and another will begin. It has been great corresponding and chatting with everyone on VJ. THank you for your assistance, understanding and willingness to listen. Now go forth and have a great life. After all that is what this is really all about. :innocent::thumbs: All the Best to you always...

  13. I would suggest to keep calling. I think their closed tomorrow due to Veterans Day so Friday would be your best bet. I have called them twice and got the busy signal at least thirty times before the phone rang. Then had to wait about half hour until I was able to actually speak with someone. I was able to get my Invoice Identification Number from them also. Don't stop trying. Things are moving fast now...

I got a question myself. I used the template for the DS-3032 and filled it out. I then sent it to my wife and had her forward it to the NVC email. Do you think that that's ok that it's a forward email and not original? Thanks. Things are speeding up.

It should be fine and she should have been the one in reality sending it. That is what I did. I am curious as to why she forwarded it when She could have just Cut and Pasted it and sent it as her own... :bonk: But you know the answer don't you. Its a good lesson for us also to always remember our spouses don't always think critically and might need better direction from us when we ask them to do things. Don't take it for granted that they know or think the same way we do. I know I have had a few Awe Shucks, you did what?, moments.

  14. I'm sorry to hear about your friend. That's terrible! I've had some patients in the ER that were in a MVA, but just a few of them since I live in a small county. Hope they recover soon and for the police to catch whoever is responsible.

You mean celebrities/athletes working as a government official? A bunch of them in the Philippines, I think. And yeah, i don't get it. I like Pacquiao, don't get me wrong, but not so sure if he's the right person to do the job. I guess, nobody is really. :bonk::lol:

:ot:, I got my interview letter for my Naturalization for November 30 yesterday. 2 months after my supposedly interview date.:wacko:

Yes they were very lucky. Windel, Minda & Vanessa are lucky to be here period. Good thing they were in his 1 ton Truck which was totaled.

Oh Manny is far more than a Celebrity. I don't know if he is smart enough and perhaps to generous but I don't think he is a crook so that almost makes him qualified considering what the other politicians do over there. His heart is in the right place. But he will be taken advantage of by the seasoned ones I am sure.

Congrats on your new interview date. Hope they have everything ready this time and your in and out with approval in hand. Don't be late haha...

  15. I missed out on a few days. Congratulations to all the approvals. Keep the hope and prayers going for those who are still waiting for an approval and their interviews.

  16. Guys, I'm here too! :D I'm still waiting for my husband's interview schedule, hopefully he'll get a December interview.

@Tom: Sorry 'bout the delay for your wife's visa. It'll all be over soon for both of you. :) Have a fantastic time with your friends and family in CA!

I would think they would put you at the front of the line considering they messed it all up. I am surprised they don't have a date for you already.

Thanks Kim11, Oh I plan on having a great time alright. My friends are recovering from a Head- On Collision. The other driver ran away and the police still have not found him. Both of my friends are alright but still recovering. The wife will be going back to work in about a week but the Husband will be out 2 more months as he is still in a restrictive neck brace. He has been bugging me to come visit so I will give them some company for a while and some kidding... of course...

GO MANNY PACQUIOA !!!!!!   or should I say Congressman. I wounder if that's ever happened before.

  17. Are you going to Pl?

    Loto

I probably should be but No I am not going to PI. I am headed to Bay Area of California. Going to see some friends and my son for the Manny Pacquiao Fight on Saturday. They always have a big party for his fights and this might be his last fight if Floyd Mayweather doesn't fight him in the future. I will then stay there for the Thanksgiving feast. They have been asking me to visit for a while and this will allow me to get my mind off all of this for a while. Then hopefully I will return and only have 5 days left before I pick up the wife at the Airport in Nashville. B-):D

  18. Oh yeah! Local tax office can give you, your IRS trascripts on the spot. Just make sure you take your driver licence or some sort of id paper with you.

Guys, My AOS and IV are not in to the system. Console me. Give me hope. It better be in the system this week. Or else, I'm going to be very sad. :(

What does this mean? What is the bio form with IV?

Okay Calm down Indigo or it back to the Carpet removal Gulag for you... haha hows that. Seems they are taking a little longer than before but you should have good news this week would be my guess. Unless you complicated your package to the point that they need a tiger team to break it down and analyse it. Hang in there. January will be you interview month I think but you might get lucky who really knows.

  19. Dear friends.

Can u Please tell me what happens during medical check-up??? what they do and what tests are performed and what shots are given? My wife is very nervous she has it on 11th november. i myself dont know anything about it. would really like to know.

any complications if she had C-section in the past?

    Thanks.

I am not a medical person but they are checking to ensure your wife is basically healthy. It pretty basic but complete exam much like an annual physical. I have not had one but would guess they will take vitals, do blood work, urine analysis, Visual body examination so your wife will have all parts examined or looked at. They will take chest X-ray also. C Sections does not matter at all. That is a procedure and not communicable. With regards to shots it will depend on what your wife has been inoculated with already. She should take her shot record with her. You can go to the CDC and see what shots are required. Do a search on your wife's country for medicals and see what other VJer have experienced. Hope this helps.
