Hi guys,
We received a RFE to submit a foreign birth certificate and Certified english translation. We received two RFE one for his mom and one for his dad asking for the same thing as mentioned above. Can i submit copies of certified English translation? Or do those have to be original? When we took his foreign birth cerificate to be translated they gave 1 translation.

Hi guys,
I am seeking some help here in regards to Request for Evidence that we received for my husband`s parents (IR-5) visa. Please see below what the letter states:
" You have submitted a foreign language documents that appears to be a Birth Certificate for Danijel. Submit a complete and accurate English translation and a photocopy of the corresponding foreign language document. Translation without the relating foreign language documents are not acceptable. The translator must certify that the translation is complete and accurate, and that he or she is competent to translate from the foreign language to English."
I submitted an international birth certificate that includes English on it. I am unaware why they did not accept because it clearly had English on it, but I am would never try to argue with USCIS. I submitted this before too when I was brining my husband to US, and it did not cause any RFEs,
I would love to get some advice on the following questions:
1). Can we re-submit this international birth certificate originally filed, ALONG with a English translated certified birth certificate?
2). I heard that USCIS needs a birth certificate issued in the last 6 months.. . Will this rule apply to the TRANSLATED version or both foreign and translated? The foreign one we have with us right now is issued in April of 2015, when we originally filed for his parent to immigrate to US, and that is the one that USCIS returned to us.
Thanks ahead for the help

Cao svaima,
u kojem pise :
If any documents is not in English it must be submitted with a certified English translations. You have submitted a foreign language documents that appears to be a Birth Certificate for Danijel. Submit a complete and accurate English translation and a photocopy of the corresponding foreign language document. Translation without the relating foreign language documents are not acceptable. The translator must certify that the translation is complete and accurate, and that he or she is competent to translate from the foreign language to English.
Ok. Cuti i salji sta ti traze:
Par pitanja za vas:
--> Moze li se predat taj isti medjunarodni rodni list sto nisu primili, posto jos imam kopiju od njega da bez potrebe ne zezamo njegove dole u Bosni da salju ponovo.. Uzela bih taj medjunarodni rodni list, i odnela ga blizu kuce ovde u Americi da prevedem i nek udare pecat. Brine me zato sto vec taj medjunarodni nije odobren da ce me zezat.
Hvala unapred!

I just came home from work and I`d like to provide full details of the RFE exactly as it states in the letter.
- You have submitted a foreign language documents that appears to be a Birth Certificate for Danijel (my husband) which was NOT PROPERLY CERTIFIED BY THE TRANSLATOR.
Submit English translations:
If any documents is not in English it must be submitted with a certified English translations. You have submitted a foreign language documents that appears to be a Birth Certificate for Danijel. Submit a complete and accurate English translation and a photocopy of the corresponding foreign language document. Translation without the relating foreign language documents are not acceptable. The translator must certify that the translation is complete and accurate, and that he or she is competent to translate from the foreign language to English.
My question to you now: They are asking to submit a foreign one and a translated to English version. Should I submit this foreign one I`ve already submitted to USCIS even though it has been denied, and along with it submit a English translated CERTIFIED version.
Does the 6 month rule apply to IR-5? Documents can not be older than 6 months. I just don`t want to go through that hassle having his parents send a new birth certificate when we already have a copy of it.
-
It has couple of languages on it includIng english and i have sent it to uscis before and it was accepted plus when we filed for his parents to come to US the Marriage cerificate was international too and we didnt receive an rfe for that but we received it for birth certificate. We kept copies of everything so i was thinking to use the international birth certificate originally filed as a foreign one and include a english translatated as well but i am afraid because the letter states That the international one is not properly certified it could cause issues

Need your help now.
We received the RFE in the mail yesterday. When we initially filed, we submitted an international birth certificate for my husband.
Here is the problem; they did not accept it L. I am SHOCKED because I sent one just like that when I was bringing my husband to U.S on a K-1 visa, and I did not have any problems.
I am not going to argue with them! The thing that really confuses me is that I sent a marriage certificate from his parents, also INTERNATIONAL and they accepted that but did not accept the birth certificate.
I don't know..
The letter states that my husband`s birth certificate is not properly certified, and it states that all foreign documents must be translated in English (but it had English on it! ughhhh ) . It also states that when we send out the new birth certificate to them to include a foreign birth certificate, and a translated version as well.
My question to youà instead of having his parents send us my husband`s birth certificate to us again, I still have the copy of the international one I initially submitted that was not “accepted” and I was thinking to go and translate it directly to English and of course it will be certified. What do you think of this? I do not have it in front of me right now, and do not have the exact issue date of the international one. However, I was told that some documents can not be older than 6 months. The translated version will not be older of course but i am not sure about the international one.
If some of you can help in this situation that would be great!

I just want to thank everybody for your help!
I will keep you posted - at least we heard something from them
even if it` a RFE.. it is what it is...

Everything was translated in English that needed to be, as mentioned above i included all doubles (one for his moms paperwork and one for his dads)
-
This is what we sent below: we sent doubles of everything because it says online they are two separate applications
-Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative - one for his mom and one for his dad
-A copy of my husbands birth certificate showing his name and his mother’s name - included one in moms paperwork, included second one with his dads paperwork
-Because my husband is not a born US citizen he also included his Certificate of Naturalization in both files
-One payment for mom, and one payment for dad
-Parent`s marriage certificate

My husband filed for his parents to come to US on June 9th. This is what we received via case status online.
"On November 10, 2015, we mailed a request for additional evidence for your Form I-130, Immigrant Petition for Relative, Fiance(E), or Orphan, Receipt Number XXXXXXXXXX. The request for evidence explains what we need from you. We will not take action on your case until we receive the evidence or the deadline to submit it expires. Please follow the instructions in the request for evidence. If you do not receive your request for additional evidence by December 10, 2015, please go towww.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."
I submitted everything that was asked of us, I wonder if this could be a denial or something? What does the case status show for NOA 2?

Do any of you have a list of documents that I could collect before the approval? I found a thread on here but i am having a hard time finding it!
-
Hello VJers
My husband sent I-130 forms and all the supporting documents on June 8th for his parents and he is their only child. Got an email stating that the case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center and we should receive NOA1 in 7-10 days. Is it normal that it gets transferred to Nebraska Service center, do all cases get transferred there or only some? What are some documents that we can collect before APPROVAL. I found a good guide on here what docs r required but i having a hard time finding it now!
Thanks for all your help!

What about if the civil documents are older than 6 months because we dont know when exactly we will get the approval?? I know that sometimes they require that documents r recent. Should his parents send all the civil documents to US? I am not sure how the process works?
-
My husband sent forms I-130 for his parents on June 8th. Received an email on June 9th:
Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS Nebraska Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number xxxxxxxxx
Whats the next step after we get the receipt. Do we just wait for approval?
Thanks for the help

A friend of mine is in the US right now on a 10 year tourist visa. He is planning to leave US after being here for 3 MONTHS. How long does he have to wait to re-enter US again?

Hvala,
evo sta pisu, ja samo samo ukucala traveling under maiden last name...
http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/178581-traveling-abroad-passport-still-has-maiden-name/

Hi guys,
Recently my husbands I-751 was approved after having two rfes!
they already mailed his green card AND provided us with a delivery tracking number. His green card was supposed to arrive on May 3rd, which WAS on saturday. However, we still did not get it. This thing keep going to random places. I will show u the usps info. Is this normal not to receive it on the expected date that USPS has provided us wuth * may 3rd*, did this happen to anybody else? that it took more than the expected delivery date....
It started in KY---> KN----> Carol Stream, IL---> Palentine, IL ----> McHentry, and actually carol stream is closer to us than palentine and McHenry. This thing is like bouncing around... im afraid it will get lost

Did they list what they need? Go to ur bank and have them type up a letter stating when u added ur wife to the acc as a beneficiary..and send in the one where she is a co-owner. From my understanding u guys have two accounts? Do any of them have statements where u and ur wife are both on the statement
Copies or originals?

We submitted my husband`s multilingual birth certificate, and they did not accept it. USCIS sent us an RFE (1 for his mom, and 1 for his dad). Both RFE`s ask for the same thing
"TO SUBMIT CERTIFIED ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF MY HUSBAND`S BIRTH CERTIFICATE, AND A PHOTOCOPY OF THE FOREIGN ONE.
When we took my husband`s foreign Birth certificate to be translated, the lady that translated it gave us only one translation even though we requested that we need TWO certified English translations of the foreign birth certificate.
I was thinking to take that certified English translation ,make a copy of it for his dad`s file, or vice versa. However, I am not sure if USCIS needs the original one that the lady translated, or just a copy will be fine.
I hope that made sense!
