I called DOS today. Nothing yet.

The woman told me that London received our packet on the 20th...wrong. London may not have opened and or processed it till the 20th, but it was there on the 9th.

Hoping we all get some good news soon.

We definitely need to hear about interview dates soon. I think it will all come together next week. I want my Dave here and I want him here NOW!!!!! lol

I rang DOS just now. They said that london has not confirmed receiving my packet 3 back - even though I sent it by special delivery and according to royal mail it arrived on November 26. Should I be worried? Or is it just the holidays delaying things?

It can take a week or two for them to open the package and process the DS forms. Thank goodness for delivery confirmation!

Wow! This really is a great day!!! Congrats to everyone, especially Allie and SSS8380 that have been waiting so long!!

We went to the interview this morning, and we were there at 6am and out the door at 9am. A very nice lady interview us (she let me stay with my sweetheart), she ask very few questions to Ann, and ask me what I did for work, and what happen between me and my ex before, then said Congrats you have been approved and welcomed Ann to the US. We will have a nice dinner tonight and then wait for the Visa to arrive to go to the US, currently planned for Dec 26th

Are they having you having any luck with the embassy? I just called DOS and we are still not scheduled. You must have only gotten your forms in 2 days before us. How nuts!!!

hey all!! i just called the DOS and it turns out I was scheduled for my interview today! im down as a no show and I did not receive any sort of notification from them for this! im so gutted!! i guess i need to work out how I reschedule this! :-(

How often have you been calling DOS? I call nearly every day and havent heard anything. I hope its not a scheduling error!!!!!!!! OH NO!

I think I'm in denial about not getting a pre-Christmas interview. This waiting is the worst I've had to deal with so far.

You know, there's probably a bunch of November interviewees they're making visa's for right now so they have to catch up maybe! We took 3 weeks to get a interview but they sure take their sweet time making the visas and processing additional items mailed in AFTER the interview if needed....THATS frustrating as well! Get all exited about having a interview but what goes along during and after is also time consuming.........its not over yet folks!!!!!

You're right!! I guess the best thing to do is keep calling DOS. If they get enough of us in a day, every single day, maybe they will realize how inefficently London is going and they will hire more staff or figure out a better way to streamline processes. This is a freaking joke. What the freak is London aiming for? Montreal timeframes?!?

I waited 5 weeks to hear back for my interview date but my fiance was in the UK with me at the time, so it didn't seem as bad.

For anyone that isn't understanding why we are making a list of those of us WAITING for interview dates and listing when DOS told us we were eligible, HERE IT IS: The last time London seemed to tell VJers that they were scheduled was 11/13, before that it was maybe 10/13. That means ONCE in 7 weeks!!!!!!! And it doesn't seem like they have done any more scheduling in these past 18 days at all.

I know I might be coming off as a drama queen, but COME ON! It really does seem like an unnecessary delay!! For a minute there it actually seemed like I might get Christmas or New Years settling in with my husband-to-be. Now that notion is TOTALLY slipping away. If I only knew WHEN the interview would be it would make the wait slightly easier.

Alright, I'm done waiting. Come on interview-scheduler-clerk in London!!!!

I dont know why you guys talk about being "eligible" for a interview, you get a case# from the DOS after your NOA2, then you give your case# to the doctors office in London and book your medical, then send in packet 3 stuff that you download off their site which we can get easy on this site the link for, and then you call the DOS again and see if you have a blinking interview date after that.......it takes about 3 weeks to get a interview usually.....

Usually. For some people it has been taking 4-5 weeks. We are sick of waiting. This once a month scheduling BS sucks. They use to give out dates sporadically during the month, but now it seems to have changed.

We are forming a little club here. We no longer fit into the April, May, June, July or August filers because some of the people from other countries are already married. There's already EIGHT of us. WOOHOO!

I called DOS today and was told that they usually show when the visa has been printed and according to our case number, it has not.

Sorry for being so naive, but what is the DoS number and will they be able to provide information on other visas besides K-1? Which case number do you provide? CIS or NVC?

Thank you! I bet yours will be on there soon!! Is he sending it overnight? I went through the early October part of the interview thread. People were finding out interview dates on 9/29, 10/2, 10/7 and 10/8. Then the last was 10/13 until the 11/13 scheduling. So there is hope for us that this next week might bring some good news!!! I'm really hoping. I NEED TO KNOW!! This being in limbo stuff is messing with my mind.

Just got off the phone with DOS. They had a 15 minute wait when I called. They told me no interview date, but that the medical results were received today. The medical was on Tuesday, FYI. Hopefully this week! But I doubt it.

I hope you get your NOA2 this week also!! Have you call USCIS to see if it's been approved? How odd that it is so delayed. Germany seems like it would be a simple country to approve. There's no translated documents needed until the actual interview, right?

then what is the next step? do we just keep calling until they give us an actual interview date?

are we able at any time to request a certain date (or certain day of the week, like a Friday for example)??

Yes, so many of us are just waiting for interview date now. I'm tempted to call the extortion line to find out when they will be scheduling interviews.

yayy! I'm very much into this whole visa thing than my fiance (well duh I post on VJ ) and he's been so busy lately working two jobs that I went ahead and did the packet 3 stuff for him, scanned it, and e-mailed for him to print off and sign.

So hopefully we can be added to the list on Monday!! Oh hey, can we make the P3 list all pretty with colors and stuff like the Interview thread?

Well, in SLC there IS a few TV stations that will hold events outside with music and street performers. Ten years ago a crazy group I was in did fire dancing and a skit. There were kids there. But that was before I had my son.

Maybe I'm just paranoid but it's just way too dangerous to be on the roads during holidays in the US.
