i am now at the vermont center too... have not recieved an nao1 and i mailed my packet back in april, i have a infopass appt. this monday, so i'm travelling to memphis from knoxville to get passport stamped

I just found out I am now on that list as well. I filed in the beginning of april of this year so i gots a long wait. I never did recieve a letter either to extend my now expired green card, but I have an infopass appt. on monday so hopefully they will stamp me!

I mailed it out first week of april so i guess i fall under that category. How do I set up and infopass appt? kind of annoying, the gov't that is... lol gas is getting more and more expensive and they think we can just drive ourselves all around the country for stamps because they don't mail out a letter.... i'm sorry, i'll stop being a baby... thanks everyone

my I-797 does not say anything about Your conditional resident status is extended for a period of one year. During the one-year extension you are authorized employment and travel .... i do not have an extension letter.... all i have is my I-797 requesting bio-metric and it says the case type on it being my I-751 .... I have yet to recieve a notice on my petition other than the bio-met notice ....

Hello everyone. I have a quick question.... My temporary green card expired a few days ago .... my permanent is processing.... i went and had my biometrics done for it a little over a month ago. Now what do I do while I wait for the permanent one?? I don't officially have anything right now to say I'm legal other than the sheet that says i did go get the biometrics done.....

any input would be appreciated

Can someone point me in the right direction. I need to start getting stuff to get my conditions removed.... what forms do i need, what evidence

also, my passport expired and i sent off for a new one, they lost it so i've been instructed by my gov that they took care of it but i have to fill out another application, is that gonna cause problems when i apply to take conditions off if i don't have a current passport yet, its gonna take about 6-8 weeks for a new one??

Hey becca, long time no see! I am happy for you and your hubby. One year. Wow! Me and my hubby celebrated our first year together back in August. Hang in there, things will get better, it just takes time. They always say the first year is the hardest and you aren't alone in that.

I'm sorry to hear about your ankle karo ... i too know how that feels, it don't feel nice thats for sure. I have a bad habit of rolling onto my ankle while I walk. I did this about 3-4 times, each time spraining it and by the fifth time it broke. Hang in there and I wish you happy healing!

I just took my US driving test. I was nervous too since I haven't driven in awhile .... it was nothing, actually I thought it was kinda of a joke but it was no joke at all, she made me drive around the block and that was it. :-p I wanted something a little more challenging lol, uh oh well, I got it though, i guess thats all that matters. Don't worry, just stay calm and be cautious you should be fine!! Good Luck to ya

Ok, so I have another interview with a cleaning house service tomorrow afternoon. It pays about 9 bucks an hour and the hours are from m-f 7:30 - 3:00 ... might not be so bad to get my foot in the door at least... wish me luck you all.

Maybe I will look into temp, there was a few adds i saw in the paper that said they were hiring. I shall see.... there is actually some house cleaning services too in the paper that say they pay 8-9 bucks an hour. Anyone have any experience with companies like these? I do not, most of my experiences is Hotel,Waitressing, and Retail.

Tell me about it. I just had an interview at Pier One last friday. They only need minimal part time so like 15 hrs a week but she grilled me like I wanted to be President of the United States. How hard is it to run a cashier? Not like i haven't done that before and I have experience is such stores like Pier One and then to only offer me 6.50 after all of that.... ugh ..... Alot of places too now you have to go online and do a personality test.... i've had to do 3 before they would let me hand my resume in. For retail!! Just irks me really ...

Hey you all. Long time no see. I haven't been in here for awhile. Been busy and I'm driving now so I'm getting out and about. I've been job searching for the past week and it's becoming exhausting. It astounds me at how high some standards are for a work place when all they want to pay you is minimum wage. *Shakes head* It's frustrating because right now I'm willing to pretty much take anything to just get started and it's difficult. Maybe it's because I haven't worked in the past year and a half because of this stupid immirgration process I don't know. I'm jsut kind of tired and frustrated. It's not like I don't have work history and I am experienced in lots of things. I'm not looking for anythign big right now, just want to work somewhere, anywhere :-p lol ok not anywhere but pretty close. .... alright thats my rant i'll stop now. I hope your all doing well. I haven't talked to alot of you regulars in awhile ... well i shout a hello out to all of you.

My first year was a couple weeks back but I had a load of family here during that time. We all celebrated with a nice dinner but hubby and I waiting for a time when he can have a day off to really celebrate together. My birthday is coming up soon too, I don't want the celebrations to mix, i want two seperate celebrations, is that so selfish of me?? lol probably but i still want both!
