  1. I'm still waiting to hear that good news from you!!

Meanwhile I am really nervous as tomorrow is Tamara's medical and then the big interview!!!

Neil's medical in London is Wednesday 11/11 too. (Although that's day after tomorrow for us)

Let's trade good vibes during their medicals, okay? And we'll all be cheering for you guys at your interview!! Tell Tamara that the Julyers say good luck!!!

You guys will sail right through!

Good luck, guys! I'll be checking here tomorrow for good news on Tamara's medical, and wednesday for good news about her interview + Neil's medical. I am positive they'll do great in there!! Give them both my best, and keep us posted about the progress

  2. Flights have gone up again. Trying not to get sad, but funds are tight with Emmas birthday, thanksgiving and christmas. I'm keeping every finger and toe I have crossed that they wont go up again. Damo got down when I was being realistic and telling him I might not be able to come over. He is always so positive, lol. Even after I gave him the facts of the price of the tickets, he still is saying that I'm coming over. Never thought I would meet someone as stubborn as me, lol.

Aww Jules, I'm sorry to hear about the ticket prices. Is there any alternative company you could use to get a cheaper rate? Wade and I have been buying tickets for a long while now with several visits, and thought we knew all our options. Turns out someone sent me a PM regarding cheap tickets Norway-Seattle and I end up paying only half the price this time around. Not sure how well you've searched for alternative flights? Either way I'll keep you guys in my thoughts and I hope you'll be able to afford seeing him, I know how much you've been looking forward to it! :luv:

  3. Hey everybody. i filed on July 15, and now I just recieved word that our Interview in moscow is on Dec 29th. So I just wanted to share that thngs are moving smoothly.

    Hi Tori,

welcome onboard and thanks for the update! Always nice to see new people here, and I'm glad your journey is going so nicely. I'm sure you'll do good at the interview in december, and I'll be crossing my fingers for you guys! (F)

  4. Still waiting for NOA2. My NOA1 is dated July 23 2009. I see several people with NOA1 dates near the same time as mine and they have NOA2 approvals in October. Should I be concerned that there might be a problem somewhere?

I would not be concerned due to this, CSC has the infamous 5 month deadline we all belong under. In this case a lot of us was lucky to get approved earlier, but I don't think there necessarily has to be a problem if you're not approved yet. It just means that your case is going at a slower rate than some of the ones being approved ahead of you. Now I can understand if you're feeling impatient and frustrated, I think we all would! Having that said, welcome to the thread!! I hope you'll have some good news in the week to come regarding your NOA2 :star:

  5. It seems like everybody is freaking out about something .

In one month my fiance will have his interview. Just trying so hard to stay positive about this. Reading so many posts about delays and denials is completely freaking me out.

Yes, the whole process is torture, LOL. But also so worth it in the end when you will finally be with him (L)

Just take a deep breath, make sure he has more than enough documents with him to the interview and I am sure he'll do well. You're so close now, just hang in there a little longer and it will soon be over!! (This part of the journey anyway ;p)

  6. Yeah and I never did notfied online thier website still says I am waiting for NOA2

Even though in two days she goes for her interview

Now I am freaking out about this!!

ANd your interview date is fantastic!! Its my Birthday!!

And its the day Tamara wants get married

Ohhhh how exciting!! I can understand why you're freaking out right now, lol, I'm sure I will too in not so long. I bet she'll do great in there and very, very soon you two will be together. Don't forget to tell us how it went as soon as you have time for it :D

  7. THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING.

    :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::angry:

    Awww I know, Marie :(

It must be so frustrating to be stuck with the NOA2, and I can't imagine how you're making the days go by. Just try to keep yourself as busy as you can, think about what you can do next should your case get a delay in their system. Once this is all said and done (which I assume must feel like an eternity right now) this will just be a sore memory and it will be worth it in the end when you're finally together. I'm going to send lots of warm, fuzzy vibes your way and just hope, hope, hope for your (and everyone else who's waiting!) approval to come through! Hang in there! (F)

  8. congrats and good luck

Congrats! I wish My Love was in Finland!

We are waiting since October 7th........(we mailed packet 3 back)

Still haven't gotton Packet 4......You're sooooooooo lucky! Please share some of your luck!

We definately would share it if we could. I hope you guys are together soon...

Congratulations and good luck on the interview :)

I sent in our paperwork for the interview yesterday and today they called me up with a date :star:

  9. Hi I need clarification on which type of form a co-sponsor has to fill for K1. My friend has a co- sponser but she doesn't know which form the co-sponser has to fill. Do they all fill form I-134? Please help.

Correct, both the petitioner and the co-sponsor will both need to fill out the I-134 + supporting documents. Good luck!

  10. Yay Kristin! Oh so soon, I'm so excited! When do you think you will be here? Oh I cant wait for us to get together, that will be so cool! Damo and I have p3 but his medical was postponed yet again until nov 17th, which is no problem because we arent going to send it back until around December 14th. The consulate in sydney is averaging interviews around 2 to 3 weeks after receiving your p3 so we are hoping that it will be scheduled during the two weeks that I'm there. But anyways I fly out on December 25th, spending christmas eve and morning with the kids, dropping them off at their dads and flying out that afternoon. I get to spend my first new years eve with my sweetheart, and we are going to have our engagement party on New years day. What a great way to start the new year! I so cant wait to see him next month! :luv:

Iiihhhh I know, I'm so excited and I still feel all silly when thinking about it. We're hoping to spend New Years together, very much like you guys. After a bit back and forth, I decided to spend one more Christmas over here with my family although I'm sure my head will mostly be in the US during the whole thing  The date we're looking at is the dec 28, so I'm hoping everything will go smooth at the interview. And yes! I can't wait to meet you, Jules, I'm so glad we're going to live in the same area! I'm going to cross my fingers for Damo's interview landing on a day when you're with him. It would be such a great trip if you got to join him for both the interview as well as celebrating your engagement (L)

If Adam wasn't sure about my crazy-meter, I'm sure he knows now Just today I was getting a bit anxious because he hasn't received P3 yet. He told me I should find a yoga class for the calming/relaxation techniques. I asked him when he thought I'd have time to fit yoga into my day. He sent me a link to a website with "office yoga" instructions and videos That got me to laugh, which helped for the moment.

    Good luck to all!

I know what you mean, Brooke! The whole process is about waiting.. all we do is wait, wait, wait. At least after NOA2 it starts picking up some speed between each step and I'm sure you'll hear something about his P3 soon! So have you started your office yoga during lunch now? :D

  11. WOW Kristin - CONGRATS!!!   I'm so excited for you, you'll do so great!

I want these last approvals for everyone RIGHT NOW. I'm so glad to see that you guys who are still waiting are being proactive, calling congressmen, etc. Like I was telling Marie, it seems like the helplessness of waiting for them and having no control, nothing to do to help it along, that's the worst part. Glad to hear you're taking it into your own hands as much as possible!

Thank you, Nancy! I am so excited and I too hope I'll do great in there  How are you guys doing with your journey? I see you sent back the P3, any idea how long the consulate usually takes to respond? Hopefully Neil will get his date soon!

I agree with you regarding the NOA2s. I was telling Wade yesterday how I just want everyone in the thread to get their approvals so we can all move forward together. I can't even imagine what I would feel like at this point if I was still waiting for it, I'd probably crack up by now  But hang in there Marie and the rest who's still waiting. It will come eventually and I believe Malarie's approval is a very good sign for the rest of the NOA2s we're waiting for!!

  12. :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

I called the USEM today, and our file was in their system, so was able to get a interview date of Dec 3 2009.

we as happy as can be, as it looks like we will bring in the New Year in the US.

Continued good luck for those waiting, things seem to move faster after the NOA2 for us

Congratulations Ann Marie and Leo! I am so happy for you guys and I'll keep my fingers crossed for your approval. So are you guys excited, nervous - a little of both? :star:

Yesterday I mailed our package to the embassy in Oslo, and today they called me up to set an interview date. I was so shocked, and kinda stumped and lame about my replies, LOL, I just didn't expect a call from them so soon. The documents look good and they gave me an interview date of nov 25th! I am so thrilled and nervous and everything else in between

I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for everyone who's waiting for their NOA2s, next packages, interviews and everything else

    Malarie

That's really great news, you guys must be so excited! Now on to the next step of the process :D

I'm really feeling for the ones who are still waiting, at least this approval shows they are not completely asleep at CSC. Let's hope this is THE week for approvals

  14. Hello all, this is my first post here and before I joined (and sent my I-129F), I did lots and lots of reading and researching to make sure I am doing everything right BUT I still have a few things I want to ask.

Is NOA short for Notice of Action? And is NVC short for National Visa Center? I see these everywhere on the forum but I don't recall seeing an explanation of their meaning.

Also does anyone know what happened to CSC (California Service Center)? Seems they were moving really well about 2-3 weeks ago and then suddenly started going very slow and actually one day it showed a certain date and the next day the dates went Backwards...I'm like wth just happened? VSC was WAY behind and then suddenly caught up and now it is WAY ahead of CSC...I'm jealous! I wish I could've sent my paperwork to VSC because they are 20 days away from coming across my folder which CSC received on Sep14th.

Anyway, wish me luck, it's really hard doing all this waiting to see your loved one...I miss her very much and if it wasn't for Skype, Yahoo and cell phones, I would go crazy right about now. Thank goodness for technology :D

    Welcome to VJ!

Yes, you got the correct meaning of NOA and NVC. I know everything can seem overwhelming at first, but you'll get there - one babystep at the time! Luckily everything seem to speed up once you're past NOA2, so just try and find a little (actually a lot, lol) patience between NOA1-2. You'll get there eventually! It seems as if VSC and CSC keep taking turns on which one is slow or not, unfortunately not a whole lot we can do about it either except for waiting  And yes! Skype is a wonderful thing, don't know how we'd get by without! Anyway, good luck with the rest of your journey, may it be a smooth one :star:

  15. So I sent my fiance....

    I-134 completely filled out

Bank Officer statement letter regarding my bank account

    Complete Federal Income Tax filing

I am trying to get a letter written from my employer showing salary and length of employement....

What else is needed for my fiance to have at the interview. I am going to write an actual affidavit of support letter but do I need a notary public to sign it?

    please help asap

Whether or not you need it notarized seem to be consulate specific. I thought I could use the new form without having it notarized with my embassy, but they will not accept it. I'd get in touch with someone already dealing with the embassy in Japan or talk to them directly if I was you. Good luck!

  16. Hello fellow VJers.

I was wondering if anyone would know where I can download the old version of the I-134? I can only find the new version, which doesn't need to be notarized. I received the old version in the P3 from the embassy, so I sent them an e-mail to ask them if they would also accept the new form, but they insist on having it notarized.

It's a lot easier, and quicker, if we can download the old form somewhere, fill it out and print it rather than me mailing my fiancè the old version that I received snail mail style. Would be very happy if someone had an idea of where I can get the old form!

    Kristin

  17. Thanks Brooke, Marie, Jules and Paris for the well wishes

I'm starting to feel better, it could have been a lot worse and I was lucky to get a 'mild' version of it. I still agonize over not being able to get out and get a hold of the document I'm missing before I can mail back the next package though. Guess I will just have to be patient, gah!

I was just taking a look at our progress list again, it looks so cute!

I thought I'd see another approval or two by now, is CSC in slumber mode or what!?!

Sooo Halloween is coming up real soon, do you guys have any plans? If so do tell! We don't celebrate it here and I am so envious, LOL! At least next year I can celebrate it too (yes, I'm very much like a kid  )

  18. Me and my fiance are stuck in the post-acceptance process because each time she goes to the police station to get her police check, they tell her we need paperwork, but we cannot find record of this or anything anywhere and have no idea what it is....can anyone help us? We are trying desperately to make this quick...

    thanks

I had the same problem here in Norway. The norwegian police will not issue any cert without seeing a request for it. I had to take a copy of the letter from the embassy showing I'm registered plus a copy of the checklist where it's asking for the police cert. I know you're not dealing with the norwegian embassy but this seem very similar to what I experienced the first time I went to talk to the police station, so I'd do what others here have suggested and bring your paperwork down there. Good luck!

  19. If you'd prefer Seattle to be your POE, you should look into connecting outside of the U.S., rather than making a domestic connection. There are ample opportunities to connect at almost any major European airport. From Oslo, I'd suggest flying Icelandair and connecting in Reykjavik. Oslo->Reykjavik->Seattle can be had for as little as 2,000 NOK one way, and while I've only sampled their new interiors in business class, their economy seating looked remarkably comfortable.

Thank you so much for the reply! I really had no idea, so this information is very much appreciated. I think I will PM you with another couple of questions if you don't mind. Thank you!

Thank you SO much for the update, it's nice to see where everyone's at. I managed to get the swine flu so I've not been too active here and will not be on much the next 2-3 days either I think. I'm kinda frustrated with myself because I needed to go out and get a document for the embassy, instead I'm stuck here. A prisoner in my own home.. delays are bad enough, but even worse when the ball's in my court. Anyway, I hope hope hope for more NOA2s! Take care everyone and know I'm thinking of you guys, swine flu or not

  21. hello everyone..

ok.. right now im doing our affidavit of support and i know that i need a co-sponsor..

i just want to know if im doing right form. i already completed my I-134 form. and for co-sponsor is the "I-864"? or no? let me know please. thanks

    thanks and godbless!

You and your co-sponsor both need to fill out the I-134 + supporting documents. You will not need the I-864 at this point, this is needed after your fiancè has arrived in the US. Good luck!

  22. Hi guys!! blessed sunday to all.. i need your help regarding our co-sponsor.. im under k1 visa petition and my fiance needs a co sponsor. could somebody tell me what forms do i need to get from my fiance aside from the form I-134? is it the form I-864 or I- 864a? pls need your help.. thanks to all smile.gif godbless!

    Hello!

You will need to get the I-134 from the co-sponsor as well plus all of the supporting documents for both your fiancè and the co-sponsor. You don't need the I-864 at this point, you will use this after you arrive in the US. Good luck with your journey, I hope it will be a smooth one :star:

  23. Hello boys and girls of july 09! (and of course anyone else who might stop by our thread)

How are you all doing? I hope we will see some more approvals next week - seeing how it's the last week before we hit november, so come on CSC! Let's pick up the slack again, shall we?! And for the ones who already got approved, I hope you're all well into the next stage of preparation - you're almost there! I just hope everyone will soon receive their NOA2s so they can catch up and we all can venture into the next stage of the visa process. Lately I've been thinking a lot about the POE, going through immigration, when we should think about getting tickets, when we should try to plan our wedding etc etc. It's a way of keeping my head busy while waiting for the next step, I think.

Anyway, have a wonderful sunday everyone!

    Goooo CSC *shakes pom-poms*
