  1. Does anyone have a list of questions that were asked at there K-1 interview. Especially if the petitioner had previous marriages. This wold be very helpful. We are trying to be fully prepared. Thank you

hello.. yes i have list of questions i will pm u later coz i am here at the ofc.. saved it in my laptop hehehe...

  2. Praise God. I Offered everything to Him and so our prayers were granted. I was APPROVED earlier this morning at 10:15am. I arrived at 4am at the embassy then 6am we're told to fall in line and prepared my appointment letter. While inside the embassy we were told by a staff to prepare our ds forms: ds-156, ds-156k, ds-157 and appointment letter. If u missed some ds forms the embassy will provide. Then we were in lined for the ticket number. The numbers were called in random order. I guess i waited an hour before i saw my number flashed on screen for finger scanning. Another hour again for the pre-screening, but i am very lucky i was pre-screened by Window 15 and she's very nice and approachable. She asked for NBI, BirthCert., Cenomar, Affidavit of Support, Letters, E-mails, Phone bills and Photos.

    Questions from the Pre-Screener:

    1. what is ur name?

    2. who is ur petitioner?

    2. how did u meet?

    3. what does he do for living?

    4. does he live alone?

    5. are u married before?

    6. do u have children?

    7. is ur fiance married before?

    8. does he have children?

    9. when did u meet in person?

    10. how many times did he visits you?

    11. how many days did he stay in the Phil.?

The pre-screener choose only some letters and photos for the Consul, i was told that if the Consul will ask more proofs of our relationship, ill hand to him what i brought. When done with the pre-screener there were butterflies in my stomach right away but not much. I was a little nervous. Knowing that my co-applicant ahead of me were approved i dont worry much. They said that when all ur papers were complete then there will be no problem and its true, you dont have to worry if u have everything they asked. I waited, at the blue chair, then i saw my number flashed on screen again then i said to myself that THIS IS IT!, I was interviewed by Room 32 as i came in i found an american man seated and waited for me behind the glass. He greeted me Good Morning then i greeted back. He looked at all my documents first then was asked to raise my right hand to swear. Interview begins.

    Questions from the Consul:

    1. what is ur name?

    2. who is ur petitioner?

    3. how old are you?

    4. how old is ur fiance?

    5. how many times did he visits you?

    6. how many days he stayed here?

    7. when did he arrived in the Phil?

    8. what he do for living?

    9. what is his work?

    10. have u been traveling abroad?

    11. have u been in the US?

    12. do u have children?

    13. does he have children?

    14. when do u plan to get married?

    15. when do plan to leave?

After the Consular interview i heard him say. CONGRATULATIONS! YOUR VISA HAS BEEN APPROVED! WELCOME TO THE UNITEd STATES!. i am sOooo happy that i am approved. I said THANK YOU SIR!. then i left the room. i got PINK SLIP from Window 37 and paying for Air 21. i can't hide my happiness from then on and until now i am still in cloud nine. YahOoooo. Lets Party

  4. I've got to ask, because some one has to do it, why are the Philippines so apparently overrepresented on VJ in terms of K-1 beneficiaries? I understand that the country makes up somewhere around 1.37% of the world population, but my sense is that somewhere around 75% of the k-1 beneficiaries on this site are from the Philippines. What gives?

Shhhh, itz a well-kept secret: Filipinas make the best wives. They KNOW how to properly care for their man!

    alecbaldwin_008.jpg

    yes.. agree with this...

  5. Me and my fiancee talk twice a day on Googletalk. I cant seem to find a way to save all these talk logs. Does anyone else use Googletalk, and know how we could save this valuable evidence for her interview? Thanks.

we're using yahoo messenger... if u still have time to talk in ym... better shift nalang... it's more easier... but if u cnt save n print your google talk, just copy n paste it in MSword then print it... one more thing.. since i dont know how to save n print our calls in yahoo, i took a picture on it... hahaha

.. what i did is.. just copy the call history to spreadsheet, then print.. hehhee.. yes but its true that its better to take picture of ur voice chat with cam.. proof for ur chat and voice logs... one copy maybe is enough and the rest ur printed copies of voice and chat logs...

  6. im having interview tomorrow june 16 7am.everyone who will have the same interview date of me?pm me so we can meet there and helping each other..good luck for both of us..

God be with me tomorrow and guide me..love u so much God and to Mama MAry

oi goodluck sa interview mo for tom... God bless u... kaya mo yan!!!!

  7. I want to list here the food that I like but he doesnt want to taste (or taste ever again)...

    1. Isaw (chicken intestine ...one street of the popular street food here in the PI)...he tried kikiam and fishball though

    2. Dinuguan (or what he called chocolate meat) he tried one sip but he said it tasted like iron

    3. Fish belly (the best part of fish...especially for bangus (milkfish))... he just didnt like the soft texture and the black color of it

    4. Tuwalya (ox tripe)...in kare-kare he just puked when he tried one bite...didnt the chewy texture

    5. Balot...(a fertilized duck egg with a nearly-developed embryo inside that is boiled and eaten in the shell-from wikipedia) ...he tried it the second night he was here...oh and I saw him all green and he was about to puke...

    How about your fiance/fiancee?

Other things I noticed... they don`t eat full meals for lunch...and no (heavy) snacks (e.g. spaghetti, pancit, burger, etc) between meals. Hotdog is not a breakfast. No hotdog on spaghetti (but he likes sweet spaghetti, he even tried Jollibee spaghetti). They don`t use spoon to eat rice but they use fork instead.

my fiance don't like to eat SEA FOODS.. the funny things is.. SEA FOODS ARE MY FAVE FOODS hehehehe.. but its ok.. if he dont like sea foods.. but he told me he can taste it.. hehehe.. he like.. fruits, veg., sandwiches, pasta, and pork.. which i like too... so we don't ahve problems regarding foods.. what to eat and what not to eat.. :bonk:

  11. I GOT PINK (APPROVED) :whistle::dance::dance::dance:

    My Interview Experience

Hello Fellow Vjers, first and foremost I would like to thanks God for his guide and to my Husband who is very patient in this process, to my family who are there for me and to my fellow Vjers who always there to answer every inquiry I have :innocent::yes: , this website help me so much to understand this very confusing immigration thing. I have my Interview last June 05, 2009 and so happy to tell you guys that I got PINK  . Finally my husband and I will be together and no more goodbyes, it hurts so much every time I saw him went back to US alone. I just arrive from Manila...Internet connection in the hotel is so slow that’s why I was not able to log in this past few days. I stayed in City State tower hotel sadly I was not able to reserve there less expensive room. These past few days especially last Friday and Saturday the weather was windy and rainy too, I was even scared that my flight will get cancel but thanks God everything goes well. :ot2:

Anyway here is my Experience. I arrive at embassy at 6:30 am , stand in line outside ,second row for immigrant visa then the guard look for my appointment letter and look for my name on the list then he let me in, I ask him what is next, he told me to stand outside gate 2 and wait when it open. It doesn’t take so long, the gate open and there is x-ray machine there, the lady told me to put my bag on the tray and pass it thru the x-ray just like in the airport. Then the lady told me to go to the door and wait till the door make a beep sound, so I wait then it make beep and it open. I went inside and follow where the arrow point for immigrant visa, when I was in the immigrant visa room I show the guard my appointment letter and he told me to set in the last row chair coz my appointment time is 8:30 and there still serving 7am applicant, so I wait and talk to one of the applicants there…then later the guard told us to stand in line to give us number. then the lady give me a number and ask me where is my passport so I told her that slec say they will forward it then she say oh ok, then she told me to go back to sit and wait for fingerprinting, then just when I went to sit , I hear my name was called for finger printing at window 16. I went to window 16 and have my finger print. it took a while though.. , it took 3 tries coz the machine or my hand is wet … after that the lady told me to go back to sit again …

I went back to sit again and look at the queue board , so I will not miss my number, I was sitting in front , so I hear what the pre screener ask to some applicants . I was getting nervous so I took lots of deep breath and I feel cold as well. Then an hour later my number was flashed and it happened that the pre screener in front of me is the one who will interview me… ….but glad she is so nice to me, here is her questions

    (She greeted me Good morning)

    PS: your name maam

PS: who is your petitioner maam

(then she asked me to sign the Ds230 form page 2 and then after I sign it ,I give it back to her) and she continue asking me questions

    PS: where did you meet?

    PS: what website?

(She stop for a while and write my answer on the paper then she asked again)

PS: when did you meet him?

PS: when did you first saw him?

PS: how many times he visited you?

PS: when did you last saw him?

PS: have you been outside the country?

    PS: Is he divorce?

    PS: how many times?

    PS: Are you married before?

(then she ask me, if she already ask me if I have been outside the country? And I said yes you ask me that already, then she said what is your answer? So I said I answer no. 

(then she wrote again on the paper then she asked me if I have emails , pictures and cards then I give her my photo folder but then she said never mind coz she saw that there is pictures already, which is the one that my husband submitted when we file the I130 then she told me just emails, so I give her some emails then she scanned my emails then told me to go back to sit and wait for final interview, so I told her what about the cards and the photo folder , then she said the officer will be the one to ask for it so I say ok…then I went back to sit. few minutes later I saw my number flashed again this time is for final interview , so I went to the consular room but there is someone inside so I wait outside it took 15 minutes wait , I was getting nervous but I take another deep breath again and pray. Then I hear the door opened and the lady told me to get inside , when I went inside the consul was smiling at me already, I feel a little bit better when I see his smile , then I sit down.. he ask me if I am Mrs so and so , and I said yes sir and ask me how am I , and I answer I am fine ,then he smile.. then he said that I will going to ask you some question but before that please raise your right hand blah blah blah and I answer Yes sir I will (with a smile again) then he start…here is the question that he asked me…

    When did you get married?

    Where did you meet?

Then he said so your four years married with your petitioner, then asked why it took 4 years)

    Does he have wife?

    Does he have children?

    Is his child already adult?

(Then one of the consul approached him and ask something so he said brb)

(Then he come back in just 2 minutes and back to his question)

    What is his work?

    Where is he working?

When did you last saw him?

( then he type on the computer we were silent for 2 minutes and I was just looking at him and smiling ,then after he type on his computer he scanned my papers ,read the top page of one of my email then put check on the paper then sign the right side of my Ds230 then he said “ your approved , blah blah all I hear is the word approved and something like wait outside , for instruction…then he said welcome to USA  after that he smiled and I said thank you sir, but before I went outside I ask him question , I ask his name and told me his name and I said thank you again, then I stand up but I did not know how to open the door, then he told me to just slide it and we were both laughing  and he said bye bye so I said bye bye too … ..I wait outside then just another 2 minutes again I saw my number flashed again and went to window 37. the lady in that window ask my name and look into her computer then staple the pink slip into my appointment letter then she told me to go to air 21 booth for visa delivery payment and after I pay air 21 I can go home, so I went to air 21 booth and hand them my form and the lady type my information on the computer then have me pay 220php .. I look for exit and went back to my hotel… the end

(sorry for my grammar and spelling here . I just want to share my experience for those who do not have there interview yet … Once again thank you everyone for all the help.

PS. They only ask some emails from me...No pictures or etc...but better prepared, I bring lots of pictures with me,emails, remetance ,joint accounts, chatlogs, cards and etc just incase they will ask for it... :innocent::innocent: Thanks again everyone…GOD BLESS US ALL

    wow congratz to u!!!!

  12. Will they allow you to pick up your visa at embassy if thats what you wish.

I live in Mindanao and wish to stay in Manila for CFO.I would hate not to arrange of delivery of visa and be told no that I cannot pick it up.Does anyone know how does it works?

It really depends on the CO, I have heard of some that asked and were told they could, when I asked it was May 21st and I was flying back to USA on June 1st and he told us only if we were leaving in 3-4 days or medical emergency could he allow us to pick it up. Then I read on VJ that someone else asked same day and they let them pick it up. So......draw ur own conclusions.

    Good Luck

what?.. really.. they allowed them to picked it up on the same day...?....

    yep....

  17. Hello everyone! I just wanted to ask what are the evidences you prepare for proof of relationship. I have heard from friends who were approved that they had snail mails. Unfortunately, my fiancee doesn't want to do the snail mails. What if we don't have the snail mails, would that be a demerit?

I would appreciate any advice you may give to enlighten me... Thank you in advance... God bless us all :innocent:

hehehe.. hello.. yes sis we are doin it also.. snail mail... :luv::yes:

  18. Yearbook? DFA asking for year book now?

yes that's my experienced in dfa eheheheh.... bcoz i showed them my tor.... if u have tor then u should have a year book too.. bcoz for them having a tor can be faked..... so the best supporting evidence to ur tor is ur year book....

  19. Hi all,

Someone said to try and post this hee.

my wife went to get her passport and they told her she needs to get form 137 from the school she attended that shows her grades from highschool. Why does she need to get that? It is not listed as a requiremnt on their website. Sounds crazy o me. Did anyone evr hear of this?

    Thanks all

    Steve

try to have an agency to do it for her...well there are other agencies who needed school records but in my case i went to an agency TRAVEL SAVER in Cebu and what they asked me were my NSO birth cert and my baptismal.. in case NSO copy is not clear bring local birth cert.... i dont have any problems :)

oh no... she cant have an agency to have the passport if its her first time... first timer of getting passport requires to show herself on the dfa...
