  1. we are going through the same thing. you should be able to determine possible reasons by going over the interview queestions, and also, did you ask why when they denied it? they usually don't tell you the full reason, but any information that tell you could be helpful. So what you first need to do is look over the entire interview...what was said, and how. They never ask a question for no reason...every question has a purpose. feel free to ask if you have questions. sounds like you got the letter from Vermont saying the case was expired/closed...so now you are free to refile the K1 or marry and do the CR1 (which i usually quicker & harder to deny). Fighting a new K1 with no new evidence won't work. They have something in their heads that they didn't like, so u need to definitely figure out what that is before you file again. What are the red flags, etc. Feel free to message me also if you want...i know all of this is not easy.

And here is the link for the MENA forum if u don't have it: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/97-middle-east-and-north-africa/

  2. well the pouch # was after ours, so sent out after ours was supposed to be, and it has already arrived. And he knew it was a visa case from talking to the USC that called to check the status of it. So I guess they can come quicker. I think the delays are dependent on when they get put in the return pile. But who really knows :)

  3. ok...just called the diplomatic pouch tracking #...the new number they gave me is NOT a pouch number...he said it sounds like th case #...hmm...but its notany of the case #s I have...was also told to call embassy and ask for the invoice # for the pouch # they gave me...it can also be tracked with the invoice #. And also, the pouch is put in to the system as soon as tey start making the pouch, so it should be in the system since we have a pouch # Was also told that someone with a number (from Morocco) later than mine has already arrived :bonk: I don't know what to think anymore...and now the calling hrs r changing for Ramadan & don't the hrs in Morocco change again soon for Ramadan? Was told we go back to 7 hr difference (for pacific time) when Ramadan starts.

  4. Ok everybody...i know most of u know we were refused & (supposedly) returned to USCIS on June 14 and we were given a pouch #, but we found out a couple weeks ago that the case hadn't left yet. So we started emailing support letters, and today I got a reply from Casa stating the usual "case returned to USCIS...nothing we can do...call them" but there was a DIFFERENT pouch # in reference to our case now. So....question is...what happened with the other pouch? Why the new pouch? And why the lie about it leaving June 14 when they know it didn't? Anyone else experienced this? Gotta love this process...

  5. For those of you that don't get these msgs by email :)

  6. My fiance is in Fes. He had his interview April 26,2010. Our application was sent back for further review. Contacted the Senator not much help there. Was told it could take 120 days or more form the date (july 12) which the service center (vermont) received it before we hear anything but by then the application will have expired. Was told I should gather all my evidence, get all my friends and family and his friends and family to write statesments and send it all to the service center along with a rebuttle letter. I aslo was told just go back and marry there and File the CR-1..... The whole process is nuts...... His sister and brother went through the same process with no problems but they both married nonmuslim white americans ( sisters hubby converted just to marry her, but doesn't practice) and he only knew her for a couple of months.... We decided to go with both suggestions Hopefully the first will work and we won't have to spend the money for me to go back ( I have already been twice in the last 10 months)

Hi :) Sorry to hear about the mess & I am also hoping the bombarding of support letters will work. But our case still hasn't left Morocco after nearly 2 mths, so we are bombarding them there :) I think Vermont still sometimes reviews the cases even if they have expired...so INSHALLAH that happens for you guys!!! I'm in the same boat of the "what do i do now??" Don't want to plan a trip over & then the case be reopened or something....so the clock ticks on :clock: So looks like your 120 days will fall about mid-November...when were you thinking about going back to get married (if need be)?? And I know how frustrating it is to see everyone else seem to get through so smoothly, while we don't...very annoying. But I just keep saying...everything for a reason & as long as we are together that's all that matters!! Best of luck to everyone!!

    Monica :)

  7. I agree...there are thousands of us going through this horrific process and they don't care about out feelings. For example, we were told that our case was returned from Morocco after being denied (for calling me his lasting love too early  ) on June 14...the case still has not left Morocco, but they continue to tell us that it has and to wait a few more weeks. I feel blessed that our Senator (Wyden, OR) is so hands on with our case...his office rep calls and emails multiple times a week to fight our case. But others have the politicians that say "there is nothing we can do". And its #######. I think the part that scares everyone about protesting (me included...i will admit it) is that we will get blacklisted or something and never have a chance of ever getting the visa. And its true how noone knows about the immigration process...they have no clue how complicated it is. Hoping the class action suit out of Oregon helps, but i'm not holding my breath. Hope everyone is have smooth jounreys...and for those on the rough side with me, atleast we have eachother on here to lean on

  8. I'm sorry to hear about your denial "always&forever". My husband & I received the same denial 221g & our CR1 (I-130) case was returned back to USCIS for further review. His interview was on February 18, 2010 & USCIS received our case on April 13, 2010. To date, I have been acitve on a monthly basis via phone and daily via USCIS website trying to get a case update. The last time I spoke to an USCIS representative she told me the California Service Center is currently processing my type of case within 120 days, which puts it at August 13, 2010. At that point, I will place another call and hope they may have some sort of answer or update. If they don't, my Congresswoman's office is standing by to make their official inquiry about the status of our case. I got her involved in an attempt to stop the Cairo U.S. Embassy from returning our case back to the states but we were a bit late for that. Since then, the case manager assigned to my case has been supportive and always answering any question that I may have. She will wait until August 13th & wait to hear from me first before she proceeds on a more official manner.

Hang in there. I know it's hard but I am so glad I have my Mena family here in Visa Journey or else, I think I would have gone crazy long ago. =)

    Lizz&Mohamed

    Hi Lizz,

Thanks. And I hear ya, its nice having a place to go where ppl understand. Hopefully they follow what you say and the 120 days happens. You have much more patience then me. My Senator has been in the middle from the denial June 14. And turned out our case hasn't even left Morocco yet, so we are back at trying to convince the embassy to reopen the case. I just feel so blessed to have a great rep in the Senators office. So we will just bombard them with support letters on both sides...figure, the worst they can do is send it back :) And it probably expires in 2 months also. So i'm assuming if we don't get it reopened it will expire before getting back anyway. Hope everyone is doing good & have smooth journies in life in general. Always remember, everything for a reason...even thought we usually don't know what it is till much later

    Monica :)

  9. I can't believe it is STILL there. Wow. I don't know what I would do in that case. I know you and your Congress-person have been in contact already. I don't know what else you could possibly do.

March isn't all that far off. You will be together soon. He seems very nice, too. :) Nabil and I will try to make it to your wedding.

Thanks Tracy...I'm so glad everything finally worked out for you guys. Hopefully the rest goes smoothly!!! Would be great to have u guys there!! guess we should pick a date, but i still don't know what will happen with the K1 yet since it hasn't left Casa.

    Monica :)

  10. Monica,

If I were you, I'd continue to email the consulate yourself. I would ask if it has in fact left and also ask what specifically they will need to approve another visa request in the future. I would be persistent. They may blow you off and continue to tell you they can't help you, but I do think they respond to persistence. Gracious, humble persistence, but persistence all the same. At least, that's what worked in our case. I would also remind them that you were told on such and such a date that you were told it left Casa but now your senator is being told that it's still there, etc. You can also point out that you were denied the chance to provide further proof of relationship, etc because of the false information you were given by the consulate - either or both the officer/s and the people who answered your email or phone inquiry. I'd cc the consulate chief.

Just some ideas. It seems pretty dishonest that they gave misinformation like that.

    I'll give it a try...can't hurt :) What can they do....return our case :rofl::wacko:

    Monica

  11. :o It hadn't left Morocco yet???????????????

I thought it left before he even went for his 2nd interview, or right after you left to come back.

That's awful. You could have been doing things to convince them to change their decision. Did they lie to your senator?

Is your senator challenging that they lied?

Am I understanding this right? Did I get the timeframes wrong?

Thats what we thought to & they told us that it left June 14. But come to find out, it was put in the "denied" pile waiting for enough to add up to all get returned together. Atleast that's what my Senator figures according to what NVC said. The Senator's email mentioned that we were told that it was returned June 14th, and that email is what they replied. In other words, they are avoiding the situation & just telling us to wait longer. :bonk:

    Monica :)

  12. Thanks msheesha, I'm pretty sure he has, but I will check & see. As for our case...last week we found out it hadn't left Morocco yet, so my senator tried to find out what was going on & got this reply:

Thank you for your follow-up inquiry. The Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services should be contacting your constituent to discuss the return of the petition to their office when they receive it from the National Visa Center. She is advised to please wait a few more weeks before contacting USCIS to allow them to receive and review the file.

I hope the above information will be of use to constituent. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of further assistance.

Still haven't been able to prove that it has left Morocco yet....so we will see. Problem is that it expires in 2.5 mths....so we will see. Not holding my breath  Hope everybody is doing good. Glad to hear some ppl are finally together (or soon to be) in the US.

    Monica :)

  13. Awe, Monica, we are all waiting for the day you get good news. You are in my prayers and I hope your Senator can get you the right answers soon. I am hoping your family will be together before you know it!

    Hang in there.... :star:

Thank u so much for the support...i'm trying my hardest to hang in there, but some days are better then others...uess today is on of those not so good days :cry: Guess it doesn't help that we had to go from living together 24/7, to talking online hours a day, to maybe twice a week for a couple hrs, since he is so busy....my thread is dwindling these days...i just want something to happen so we can decide what to do :clock::cry: ok...i better get off of here. This song helps.

  14. VIP was really helpful and professional, when I signed up. And, it's worked great so far. On the other calling system I've used in the past sometimes there were connection problems. I've only used VIP a few times, but so far, so good.

Monica - any restaurants, etc you would recommend in Asilah? We're never very good at picking restaurants. So, when we find a good one, we tend to go there repeatedly. There's a place in Tangier that we've gone to for days straight - both lunch and dinner!

    Nice. :star:

We actually rented an apartment with some friends of ours...so we ate in most of the time. And truthfully...I don't remember the names of the places we ate at when we ate out...I usually let him tell me what places are good.

    Monica :)

  15. Everything's going well with us. Planning on going over, spending my bday at a nice place in Asilah, and then coming back together. Really looking forward to it.

Have you tried the VIP calling system? I used another one, until someone posted about VIP on here. It's about .03 a minute if you call a home phone in Morocco! I couldn't get over it. Cell phone calls are about .28 on VIP as well. But, home phone calls are great!

Sounds like a nice bday...Asilah is beautiful...my fiance proposed to me in Asilah :) And as for VIP...that's what I use also...has worked really good...and I think they just lowered Morocco rates.

    Monica :)

  16. Yes my fiance got approved sorry im late to give the 411 but I had to wait for samir to get back home he lives far from casa and I wanted to get as much details as possible so I can be able to share it with you all, and thanks to everyone wishing me good luck and praying for us and for the kind words thanks thanks thanks oh and monica special thanks to you we took ur advise and seems like it worked THANKS :D

Glad my mistakes could help others :) As for us...we are still waiting...glad my Senator's office is staying on top of it...they contact them atleast once a week to check on it...that atleast makes me feel a little better about it...have someone on our side :) Glad to hear about all of the approvals...seems like there have been only approvals posted on here since our denial. Guess they are in a better mood now. Hope the approvals keep coming for everyone.

    Monica :)
