Looks like our case got to CSC, but was then sent to be stored...not sure why. So they requested it back, said it would take 2 weeks, and they will review it...not sure if that just means they will glance at it, or actually review the case, so we will see. Senator said beginning of Sept we should hear something. We will see....atleast its somewhere...lol

Sorry to hear about not hearing anything. Hope everything goes smoothly with the wedding & CR1!!! I guess our case was sent to storage & had to be requested to be brought out & reviewed...so we will see...not holding my breath.

thank you guys. everybody keeps telling me that i should use the DCF method if possible. The co-sponsoring and having an address here in America is easy part for me. I'm just not sure of how to go about the process when I am there. Rules are always changing. Just last year in Morocco, and to this year, the rules have changed a lot, but I was never looking into the DCF method. I usually was looking into K-1 or CR-1 process.

Thank you again for the information. I just do not want to mess up on the immigration process.

K1 & CR1 are through the US, so u would have to be here to turn in everything (from what i understand). And DCF is the CR1, but directly through the consulate, so it usually goes through quicker...after the 6 mths of residency

I'm sure it is all very confusing for them & a very hard adjustment...especially the older they are. I have been lucky, because my daughter is 4 & her biological father has never been involved, so she was OVERJOYED to have a man she can one day call "Daddy". If anything I was having more difficulty with "sharing" her with someone else. She had been just mine for the last 4 yrs I hope everything works out for you guys, and I think communication is the BIGGEST thing, and not pushing anything on them. Letting them work up to accepting him as part of the family, and MAYBE one day a father. But if they are older, it may be more of a friendship. Thats how it was with my step mom. And best of luck to everyone still waiting or still trying to adjust...the never ending process of being with those we love.

You also need proof of having a residence in the US. DCF is the best way too go, which takes 6 months of residency.

I am planning to go back sometime in october or november..... It is very frustrating :0( We just want to be able to start our lives together.... Our's was sent back pretty quick from what I can tell..... I did hear that the vermont center will still work with you after your app has expired.... Insha'allah that will happen for us..... I too hope all goes well for everyone here and I pray we are all reunited with our loved ones soon.....

ok...wow...i know i should be shocked by these COs but at this point i'm not anymore. They think they can do whatever they & ask whatever they want with no respect to the ppl involved. And SERIOUSLY...there is NO way you are fat!!! And to ask about if you've had sex is just uncalled for. And i would definitely be doing some reporting & complaining, but as others have said...they hold the power right now with the visa, so pissing them off without it in hand probably wouldn't be the best idea. Its just sad that we have to fear what we do so we don't piss them off & they deny our visa for it. Just hold your head up high Mandy & be strong & know we are all here for u!!! Don't give up the fight!! If it was me, I'd be calling the Consular Chief & seeing if its in the policy to be asking those types of questions...nicely though (i know....easier said then done). But from my experience with the Moroccan Chief...they seem to be more helpful then those below them. Because the Cief may have no clue that those kinds of questions are being ask (or he could...i don't know). But that would be one way of getting a feel for what they think without rocking the boat. And make sure you keep track of everything & send copies of everything to your senator or congressman (whoever will help). it sounds to me like she didn't know this man enough before he came here....i think that is a problem many make during this process. And as for recommending others not to do it, I think its their choice. There are many great men through out the world, but just like if we got serious & married someone in the US...we would make sure we knew as much as possible about them before marrying them. And I also agree that I haven't read anything specific that would flat out point to fraud. If he has his green card, and that's what he came for...he'd be gone already. Why would he worry himself with going through all of this if he wasn't interested in being with her besides for a green card anyway? Just my opinion on the little bit of details we are shared with. Best of luck to your friend. And I'd say, divorce & move on.

ok...just talked to the Consular Chief again, who i must say has been VERY nice & helpful...anyway...lol He received a reply from Rome, and they said they sent our case to the Westerm Adjudication Center, which after Googling is the California Service Center. So know I'm wondering...does that mean it will still go through NVC & USCIS or will it go straight to CSC?? Cuz Rome received it 6/28/10 & sent it out 6/30/2010. So I guess we will see where it ends up. I guess I will start calling NVC tomorrow & my senator to see what we can do...see if we have any options of being pushed up the line since it was sent to the wrong place. I know...I'm dreaming, but it can't hurt to ask My mom always said, "Make people say no." Hope everybody is doing good & having a nice week.

when visas are denied becuase of inadmissibility and a waiver of inadmissibility is filed(I-601) the file is sent to the department of homeland security in Rome which has jurisdiction over Morocco. It was a simple mix-up that cost you way too much time. Happy that you know where your file is though. Good Luck!

Yes...i was able to speak with the Consular Chief....well the temporary one...the previous one got reassigned & the new one won't arrive for 2 months. And he was very helpful & suprised about how the case was handled. So we will se what happens. He knew nothing about the case though, since he hadn't viewed it. He started with the "it was returned to USCIS" speech, until i informed him that I had called the diplomatic pouch tracking company (not UPS/FedEx, etc...lol) and it was not in the system. So he made sure they checked their office & mailroom to track it down. And I got a call the next day. Was pretty cool actually Except the 5am call...lol I don't really sleep much anymore anyway.

Left a msg for the Senator, will hopefully talk to them tomorrow. And they I'm assuming they found out with the pouch #. They gave me 2 numbers. The Consular Chief said the first was return for some reason (was sent June14) and so they redid it & sent it out June 16 with a new number that (according to the pouch tracking ppl for DC) that # was not one of their tracking numbers, which makes sense why now....it wasn't going to them...lol

Well it turns out that our "missing" case was sent to Rome instead of "returned to USCIS" like everyone had been telling me for the last 2 months. And noone had a clue until I pressed the matter. So now they have to get it back from Rome...who knows how long that will be since everything "takes time". So looks like it will expire well before it gets back to the US, which defeats the purpose of the expiration being extended for review. So the fight continues!!

did they tell u that it expired or r u going by the original NOA2 that u recieved? Because Casa has been extending to expiration dates on the NOA2s that get returned to give CSC time to review them. I this is the case, they could be reviewing it. The problem is, that can take a lot of time to happen. As for refiling if you don't have a letter stating it has expired...I'm not sure. I know I've heard of others refiling K1s to "push" the other through quicker....not sure if this was after an expiration or not. I'm more suprised on how quickly your case got back to the US. But as others have mentioned...refiling won't do you any good unless you know the original reason for the 1st denial, because if you don't fix that they will just redeny you. That why there was the suggestion for the CR1....CR1s are more difficult to fully deny, because you are legally bonded & the expiration isn't so short. So before u decide to do anything I'd figure out your red flags & how u can fix them & go from there. Best of luck to u both!!
