It is kind of quiet today, Josue has forbidden me to look at this page except for in the morning, at lunch (I teach so lunch for me is at 11:20 - I'm sneakin' an early peek!), after school, and before bed lol. Yesterday I had a really bad day checking every 5 minutes and getting down, so he is putting restrictions on me lol. This is something I wanted to do anyway but he's just helping me control my addiction haha.

What is the best time to check for updates anyway? It seems like people get emails all different times of the day so it's kind of hard to keep track. But has anyone seen an average of about what time the emails are sent out????

Who knows! They seem to be all over the map with approvals right now. Some on Sunday, some with touches, some without, some email notices and some in the mail. I am watching on all fronts. I hope your right too ThaitoUSA...I love your prophecies, especially when they are right.

I have a feeling I might get an RFE too because I hadn't found VJ yet when I filed but I had bought a book for Fiance and Marriage Visas - it did not say a separate/specific letter of intent was needed for each party, just signs of plans being made, etc. So at the end of question #18 "how we met" I just wrote at the end that we would be married by the circuit court in *****, Virginia soon after he arrives. I did not specifically say 90 days and only I signed it, not Josue. So unfortunately I'm expecting an RFE too crying.gif

I think I may get an RFE for the same reasons....but I have talked with so many people that do not include a letter of intent with the package. When I first saw VJ I was too overwhelmed to really pay attention. The guidelines directly from the office don't mention a lot of what VJers insist that you should have in our package. Some of it is overkill. I say hope for the best. In the box where they ask how you met I think I put 'see attached information'...I can't remember. Blah! I have my fingers crossed for everyone.

Super excited to see more approvals. The energy was out yesterday so I had to take my VJ habit to an internet place with a generator. Good Luck to everyone today!! I know I'm just worrying too much but I need some reassurance. Laura+Tom had the exact same touches at the exact same time (2/19 around 4pm EST and 2/20 around 6am EST) but since then neither one of us has heard anything. Why does this happen? I try to stay positive and I spent about an hour last night convincing my fiance that this is normal, it could happen to anyone, there's no rhyme or reason, etc., but now it's my turn to be sad

Do you think this means we have a higher chance of RFE or wouldn't they have sent that right away also?

Hang in there. Look at it this way. You know they have your file and are looking at it...you should have word soon. I have visions of my box being in a dark corner collecting cob webs. I have noticed the 6 months thread here on VJ but have not even gone there in fear that I may inflict a curse on myself. Being consumed with waiting is the weirdest feeling. I look at all the filers from months past and wonder why?... will that be me? We are all having doubts and are hoping for the best. Soon!

I am super excited to tell everybody here that it is now our turn to tell everybody that "WE GOT OUR NOA2!!"

I have been reading this topic every single day and was going nuts each day not knowing when it will happen to us finally. I am very sure I could have not done this without everybody here and I would like to thank you all for all your patience and support.

Another thing I should let everybody know is that our NOA2 was mailed out on Feb. 20. However, we didn't know about it until I logged into Case Status Online past midnight of Feb. 23 (Japan time)/10am of Feb. 22 EST.

I called my fiance right away wondering why we did not receive the notifying e-mail.

It turned out he had just received the e-mail from USCIS before 9am, Feb. 22 EST so didn't know about it until I called him because he was still asleep at 7am WST. (He is in the west now.)

It had been the biggest worry for us after my fiance informing USCIS of his address change to California after we filed. I know this worries a lot of people but I can say the address change did not affect our case.

Congrats!!

There are a few more on the list. I think this is a good sign for next week.

So there has been a little moment on the list. One on the 20th and another on the 19th which is an Oct filer. The randomness is making this very exciting. I hope everyone is having a good weekend. I hope for good news for all the touches next week and more approvals.

I'm in shock! We were #175 on Igors list this morning. I thought I had another two months to sit it out. I can't even think straight now - what's next?! haha. Need to go back and read the Guides some more now.

My fiancée did not receive her Valentine's Day package by Friday as I had anticipated!! She just got it this morning, and as it turns out, it had arrived at her school on Friday but some clerical error prevented it from being given to her. At least it was no fault of my own!

As a side note, she intends to bring her dog with her, as she loves the thing and realizes that no one in Thailand is going to take care of it like she has. Are any of you bringing pets along for the ride?

We have adopted a kitten here in Nicaragua. I am working with a Vet to do all the vaccinations and he happens to be a lawyer too. I will let you know when I find out more but there is info on the embassy web site about traveling with pets. I know you need proof of medical updates and you pay a little extra on the flight for the pet.

There are now two October filers on the list for the 13th. One on the 14th and one on the 15th. Which one is new? That is exciting...my date is the 15th!

Something to note is that several filers (Oct and pre-Oct.) received RFE's on Friday Feb. 13th, so although there was only one approval registered on the site, there was other work going on. As well, you can see a fairly large number of July filers who are left have RFE's, suggesting that their filers have already initially been reviewed and are awaiting the petitioner's action.

I think we're going to have some REALLY good news today and tomorrow! Just a feeling.

After I write this I am going to try to step away from the computer very slowly. I am confused about the timeline. My dates have improved from late March to more mid March but I have moved down a few spots on the list. I hope to see action soon today...it always helps. Hope everyone is doing well.
