  1. Mark there is a shot that my hubby had to get and they told him he cannot get the remainder until 4-6 weeks later so she may have gotten that one shot that cannot be doubled or mixed i'm not sure but like you said she should have went earlier  but my dad did say there are times they will allow you to enter and follow-up here she would have to go to one of the designated physicians here

I just talked to her and she said that it was the first of a 3 course vaccination (with the final one in June). She thinks it was tetanus, but I am unaware of a 3-course tetanus (of course I have just been doing the "every 10 year" booster thing on that one, except for one time that I missed because of a national shortage). We should know more tomorrow.

I wonder who "designated physicians" would be here? At that time she will be on my insurance, so I hope she can just go there...

  2. Is her follow up vaccination the same day as her interview? Also is it a second of a series of vaccinations? I am sure that it will be all right! I know what you mean though, my husband called to make an appt for his medical but the doctor told him to call back the first of February. They better have an available appt for him!!

Nope. Her (their) interview is 01/12, follow up vaccination 02/12 (a month later). If it is an issue, we will face more than a month set back. It is totally eating me up, especially since I warned her about this eventuality, but she wanted to wait until the last minute... It's a little frustrating (doubly so since it is completely out of my control).

  3. Hi from Naples! Medical tomorrow for the finn-we're confused on how many passport photos are needed and if they use ones already sent! Anyone?

I was my understanding that you needed 2 for the medical....I don't know!!!

For Lima, wifey-poo was told 3 photos for medical. So, I sent the ones back that I had been holding onto (since I had to send a bunch of stuff anyway). Still have pending question with embassy, though.

  4. I'm sure you have to be a legal alien wherever you are going to get an interview.

I can't find where I read it though.

That is what everyone says, but why US embassy, inmigration section told me today they dont care about it? why????

Why someone got his visa aproved even being illegal here?? why????

    hi,

I'm not sure why you are talking to NVC about it; it is up to the Consulate (Madrid) if they will take your case or not.

I know you keep describing yourself as 'illegal' but what I read of your past posts doesn't sound like you are 'illegal'. You have been resident in their District, they (Madrid) said they would take your case... your I-130 should say 'Madrid' on it. The NVC doesn't really make this call.

I think you are maybe making this more complex than it needs to be.

Unless NVC won't give a case complete without it... I think someone suggested the K3 as an option... Might want to spend the waiting time researching that option, just in case...

With any luck, though, NVC will give a case complete with the letter that Durdin sends in and then it will be up to the embassy... Just hope you get the first guy processing the case instead of the second guy :)

Anyway, you have a few options IMHO:

    1. Keep plugging away the way you are going and see if you get a case complete then go to the embassy.

    2. Go back to Bolivia and try to procure a Spanish PCC from there. Then return to step 1.

    3. Abandon the IR1/CR1 and go K3, circumventing the NVC.

    4. Get a lawyer to help with the process.

    5. Durdin joins you in Spain until you can obtain a situation where you can get through the process unscathed.

    6. You and Durdin head to Bolivia until you can obtain a situation where you can get through the process unscathed.

If it were me, I would continue trying to get the case through NVC as is while exploring the possibility of the other options I mentioned (probably first looking up immigration attorneys here in the US and in Spain who could at least give me some professional advice on home I might proceed). Just my 2 pesetas, errrr Eurocents...

  5. wow julie im so sorry i know wat that feels i got that no on my k1 and thats why im also nervious ,but like i always sy there is always a reason to everything that happens in life

Well, and just to add to today's drama.... I have finally had a chance to talk to my husband and he said that the interview itself was really easy, relaxed, and nothing to get worked up about. The ONLY reason we were denied was because of the CIMT, and the CO felt bad having to deny him. But that's the law, and he had to do it. Despite our denial, all of you should take heart because the interview wasn't as bad as we thought it would be.

Now, let's get some cases complete!!!

    Hi Julie,

I'm so sorry to hear that. I don't really what CIMT is..I hope thing can work out. Just be strong and thinkful..I do support you..and Good luck..lots of luck..

    Best wishes..

    Cheers!

Thanks Mark! acutally I did google it..lol..still don't understand..if we have th waiver packet..why they denied the visa...hmm...

I don't understand how USCIS, NVC and the embassies decide on doing half the stuff they do... I doubt even the mighty Google would be able to clarify that murk :)

  7. Does anyone know how to get the "NVC left" and "Embassy Received" dates? Do I just call NVC and get a tracking number or what do I do? Sorry... it's just the completist in me :)

Hi Mark! 67 packages were sent out on 12/2. The good thing is only one went to Lima so it's yours! It arrived at the DHL facility today at 1:06PM (not sure what time zone or where that facility is!). Some of the packages have already arrived at their destinations and the DHL website reflects who signed for them. Yours should be there soon!!!!

No. I missed this before. How exactly did you track this (I have never quite understood the track by reference thing. I am not sure if I have the spacing/case, etc correct)?
