You can always renew your passport, got nothing to do with your status in another country. The question is if the German bureaucrats will let you renew your passport here, are you still "gemeldet" in Germany?

In my opinion: renew your passport as soon as possible, you never know what you need it for. Keep it dear.

sorry i have been awol that much. i'm trying to make real good friends with the lads from the dog park and so far it's working, had them over this afternoon and we had so much fun. I'm so thankful for having found some people i really connect with, i needed it. ( and i got a chance to worship the spirits, excuse my spelling, finding the shift button is hard work)

No need to get it translated. All documents (if you're interviewing in Germany) in German or English don't have to be translated!

Any member of the Armed Forces (active duty or Selected Reserve, officer or enlisted) on or after August 1, 2009, who is eligible for the Post-9/11 GI Bill, and:

* Has at least 6 years of service in the Armed Forces on the date of election and agrees to serve 4 additional years in the Armed Forces from the date of election.

* Has at least 10 years of service in the Armed Forces (active duty and/or selected reserve) on the date of election, is precluded by either standard policy (service or DoD) or statute from committing to 4 additional years, and agrees to serve for the maximum amount of time allowed by such policy or statute, or

* Is or becomes retirement eligible during the period from August 1, 2009, through August 1, 2013. A service member is considered to be retirement eligible if he or she has completed 20 years of active duty or 20 qualifying years of reserve service.

o For those individuals eligible for retirement on August 1, 2009, no additional service is required.

o For those individuals who have an approved retirement date after August 1, 2009, and before July 1, 2010, no additional service is required.

Ich bin seit heute Tante! Timo Julian ist heute morgen geboren worden, gesund und munter und der Mama gehts soweit auch gut. Ich freu mich ja so fuer meinen kleinen Bruder und seine neue Familie Kanns kaum erwarten den Knopf zu sehen im August!

@ junita: your post is implying that she she should get a translation of the police certificate, because she needs it for AOS. And it never hurts to read the guides.

hehe, ich finde solange man hier sein Hausaufgaben macht und lernt kann nix schief gehen. Es ist mehr der Aufwand als das es schwer zu begreifen ist. Was man hier alles fuer Hausarbeiten hat das ist der Wahnsinn. Wie ist das eigentich bei Dir als spouse? Koenntest Du auch unterstuetzt werden wenn Du studieren willst?

Man echt beneidenswert dass die Army das so grosszuegig bezahlt. Wenn ich bedenke wie lange Chuck noch seine jugendlichen beer parties student loans abzahlen wird, da sind wir steinalt.

Uber die GI bill geht das nur wenn er es von Anfang an ihr uebertragen haette. So machen das Freunde von mir. Er hat nen ziemlich guten Job und kriegt sein Studium ueber die Arbeit finanziert, sie ist ziemlich jung (21)und hat noch keine Ausbildung. Er hat ihr seine GI bill uebertragen und sie studiert damit (und ist auch so ne Streberin )

Ja irgendwie ist Thom ploetzlich auch so gut GPA 4.0

Er ist naechstes Jahr fertig und hat dann seinen Bachelor (ihm wurden aber auch seine 2 Fremdsprachen von der Army voll angerechnet und hat schon credits), nebenbei macht er von der Arbeit aus noch seine Qualifikationen als IT-Mensch. Kann es gar nicht fassen, dass er mit 40 so lernwuetig geworden ist.

Mein erster Arbeitstag ist am 21. Juni, es gibt aber noch ein paar Fragen wegen dem Vertrag und hab bisher noch keine Rueckmeldung bekommen. Irgendwie lief das alles ganz komisch ab am Mittwoch. Naja, werd ihr noch heute geben um meine email zu beantworten, wenn dann nix kommt muss ich wohl Montag mal anrufen

Ich glaub ich werd das Geld das ich verdiene auf die hohe Kante legen um spaeter meinen Master und die ganzen Gebuehren fuer meine Akkredition bei den ganzen Ubersetzerunions zu bezahlen, so zum Leben brauchen wir das Geld ja nicht...ausserdem, wer weiss was noch passiert und ob wir es wirklich mal schaffen ein Kind in die Welt zu setzen...

Thom hat Bronchitis, ein Arbeitskollege auch und ein paar andere sind auch staendig krank. Hab zu Thom gemeint er solle das mal bei seiner Chefin ansprechen, vielleich ist irgendein ein Krankmacher (schwarzer Schimmel kommt haeufig vor in Florida) im Gebaeude. Zur Zeit haeufen sich dort wirklich die Atemwegserkrankungen und alle Ehepartner, Kinder oder Freunde der Betroffenen haben nix, also kanns auch nicht rumgehen. Komisch.
