Look over there ......  it's Hillary. Gotta say, I saw that one coming.

It's the Right get out of jail card. BUT BUT BUT HILLARY!! Making excuses for this god awful President. Mango will go down in history as one of the most shameful Presidents of all time. People from all over the world will be laughing at him and America for eternity. Meanwhile his supporters will be crying about Hillary still.

They've never had anything of substance. Just some angry people pouting 2 years after the fact.

Trump has proven he can be a tool, he also follows through on campaign processes, I did not vote for him before, I would consider it now

Keep putting your head in the sand. This is without a doubt one of the most corrupt campaigns and administrations ever. Numerous indictments and convictions and Mango is at the center of everything.  2 years this investigation has been going on for and Mueller is still prosecuting, shows you how deep the corruption goes.

So gun deaths are at a new high apparently. But a little digging reveals why.

Suicide rates have really been spiking. A little more digging reveals why.

    https://desertcoverecovery.com/blog/suicide-and-opioid-addiction-linked-epidemics-dual-diagnosis-treatment/

The opioid epidemic has spiked suicides which in term has increased gun suicides.

Would be nice if CNN had done their due diligence and dug a bit deeper rather than publish propaganda.

But still astronomically higher than any other 1st world country. Problem is the NRA and their supporters will not allow the CDC to do any meaningful research into the causes of gun violence.

    The Daily Beast
Fox News’ Judge Napolitano: We Now Know Trump ‘Committed a Felony’
    By matt.wilstein@thedailybeast.com (Matt Wilstein)

If you were watching Fox News when the Michael Cohen sentence came down, you would be pretty sure this was bad news for Donald Trump’s former fixer. Less clear was what it meant for the president himself.

For clarity on that, you would have had to wait a couple of hours until anchor Shepard Smith invited the reliably frank Judge Andrew Napolitano on his afternoon news hour to explain just how bad the day’s news was for Trump.

“We’ve learned that federal prosecutors here in New York City, not Bob Mueller and his team in Washington, D.C., career prosecutors here in New York City, have evidence that the president of the United States committed a felony by ordering and paying Michael Cohen to break the law,” the judicial analyst said. “How do we know that? They told that to a federal judge.”

“Under the rules, they can’t tell that to a federal judge unless they actually have that hardcore evidence,” he continued. “Under the rules, they can’t tell that to a federal judge unless they intend to do something with that evidence.”

Now those same federal prosecutors have entered into an agreement with AMI, the National Enquirer’s parent company, “which ties a bow on all of this,” Napolitano added, “which connects the dots between the payments to the two women who claim they had intimate relationships with the president, and the line running through all of that is the president himself.”

“Prosecutors have told us through these filings that they have evidence that the president committed a felony?” Smith asked his guest.

“The felony is paying Michael Cohen to commit a felony,” Napolitano concluded. “It’s pretty basic.”

Back to the topic at hand.  I loved this headline from the transparent meeting yesterday, I guess transparency in Washington is extraordinary.  If anyone gets the chance, watch the video and Senator Schumer and Representative Pelosi's mannerisms when they realize the press is not leaving.  I am not a great fan of some of President Trump's actions (particularly his tweeting), but he is certainly comfortable being open and transparent in the discussions with the titular heads of the Democrat party.

Mango had a large tantrum, that was hilarious. Mike Pence, what was the point of him being there. He did nothing, at one point I thought he was a statue.

I personally think the best president since Reagan was very recently buried.

To most people I know, Trump is a joke.

Drain the swamp? Washington looks like more of a swamp now than it has since the Triassic period.

I'm no Clinton fan either, most of the world struggles to understand how you can have a nation with a population over 300,000,000 and those were the best two candidates. They should have just put Dumb and Dumber on the ballot sheets.

Every time I turn on the news and hear the words President Trump my first thought is "What's he done this time?" !

To be honest Hillary wasn't ideal but anyone could see that Mango was far more crooked and unqualified to be President than her. Most Americans did but Mango won the lottery because of the Electoral College. He won by 80,000 in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania combined out of 125,000,000 votes cast. That's only a 0.06% margin of victory.

Question 1: "Are you a racist?"

Question 2: "Are you a terrorist?"

You are describing what the House is intended to be. There is a reason we have both. I think a lot could be done so that the House actually represents "the people", but I don't think we need to turn the Senate into basically a second House.

I can't read those two words without it sounding like that one song in Hamilton. They just roll off the tongue so well. It's great alliteration.

Problem with the Senate though you're going to have a body of government that'll become increasingly isolated from the rest of the country. We know the population of the big cities/suburbs are increasing every day while the rural areas are going down. You could feasibly have 1/3rd of the country dictating what the other 2/3rds does. The bottom 25 states by population (50 senators) is equivalent to New York and California (4 senators).

You know if we want to talk about elevating discussion here using silly made up names to demean and insult people probably isn't a step in the right direction...

And I know you may say "Well we are applying it to people who are already being mean and demeaning (like calling Trump a mango)", but then again the answer to someone who is being childish or a bully isn't to be childish back at them.

Yes but that's the thing about the Trump Supporters on here. It is perfectly acceptable for Trump to call people by childish names (some bordering on offensive), we call him out on it but then they laugh and make excuses for his behavior, but when the boot is on the other foot they all of a sudden take the moral high ground. It's terribly hypocritical.

I am all for term limiting career federal politicians at the ballot box.  New blood is a good thing every so often.  My general rule is if an incumbent for a House seat has served three terms, or a Senate incumbent has served 2 terms, I tend to vote for the challenger regardless of party.  There are exceptions of course as I will do my best to never vote for a Socialist/Communist, but that is my general rule.  The presidency is different since they are Constitutionally term limited.

I think they need to increase the term of a Representative from two to four years and reduce the term of a Senator from six to four. Make it uniform right across the board. The problem with two years for a Representative is they spend the majority of the time campaigning for their re-election bid instead of doing their job. Senators get too comfortable in my opinion, six years is a long time and they need to be kept on their toes more.

there is a tremendous amount of truth here: Cable news needs Trump, Trump needs cable news. He is great for ratings and the NYT has historically high subscribers. Trump promised to "take all the oxygen from the room" and he succeeded.

To be honest his whole shtick has become tiresome, hilarious but tiresome. America will breathe a sigh of relief once he is gone.

The 2 biggest reasons why the Khassoggi murder is still in the news is because it's being pumped up by Turkey and Aljazeera/Qatar. All to make the KSA and Crown Prince to look bad, not to mention drive a wedge in between us and them.

It is very obvious Mango is in bed with the Crown Prince financially. It is why he doesn't want to rock the boat.
