  1. Hi! I am asking this for my mom. She is a green card holder and petitioned my sister who is above 21. What happens if she becomes a USC? Cause I see in visa bulletine that Nvc is processing Dec. 2001 for f2b and only July 1997 for F1. What category my sister will be in once my mom becomes a USC which will be next yr? Thanks!

  2. I have a question, I have looked in the visa bulletine and it says there that they are processing now the F2a from the Philippines which has a priority date of June 2010. Does this means that the petition of a Green card parent to a spouse or child under 21 years will only take 1 year or so to process from start to finish? USCIS says it takes them 5 months to process the I130 petition. so 5 months of USCIS plus maybe 6 months for NVC, so 11-15 months? Am I right or wrong? Thank u!

  3. I am US Citizen, I applied for my parents in April and the NOA1 date for both applications are 03/08/2010. I got the NOA2 approval for my father on 06/28/2010 but unfortunately still I didn't receive any approval for my mother's application. next week will be exactly 6 months from NOA1 and still her case has not been even touched yet. Does any one have the same experience for long time waiting for approval? Is any March file maker who didn't approved yet too?

You should call USCIS and tell them that you are past the 5 months waiting period. You should get an approval in teh next couple of days.

  4. Please read the following situation and give your advice-

My friend's father's case just completed at NVC last week. His dad is waiting for the interview to be scheduled. But there is a problem. His father came to usa in 1990 on a business visa with 30 days term. but he stayed for years and went back home in 1997. during this period he went to his country once under payroll for seven days. now his case is completed what he should say during the interview.

he overstayed and he could be banned for 10 years. he should answer the questions truthfully and they should know that he'd been here since you have sent the ds230 w/c asked places he had been . hire a lawyer and answer truthfully during interview

  5. Hello everyone,

I received couple of letters from USCIS yesterday requesting additional documents in regards to my brothers petition needing birth certificates .I already submitted the Birth certificates that i got from Pakistan but they are showing delayed registration .i attached the document for anyone who can advise me on how to respond to this letter since the Birth certificates recorded near the time of birth are not available and are impossible to get from Pakistan.Any help with this well be much appreciated.

you can send them other proofs like school records, where it states the birthdate, baptismal certificate,or affidavit from 2 disinterested people who has knowledge of the birthdate/ parents of the beneficiary

  6. they can send passport of the husband if they have one. for the Affidavit of support,if the wife is the petitioner, even though she is not working, she has to file the I1864 and the husband will file a I1864a form.they can send it one Income tax return if they are filling jointly.

as for the Immigration visa fee,she can pay it now even though you AOS papers are not yet done. IV and the AOS are totally independent in terms of processing when they at NVC.

  7. hay childish naman ni Heart-broken. you should have known everything about your husband before you married him.Goodluck to you!hope everything goes well! I respect your husband and you, juts try to relax and consider your husbands feelings. You need to work so that you can do what you want to do without being to dependent to your husband.

  8. Ok so I put in a change of address for my daughter with USCIS..she gets a letter from them confirming they have recd the address change..I put in a change of address with the post office..again my daughter gets a letter from the post office saying they have recd the change of address...Next thing I know I get a text message saying her case has been updated..I log on and guess what her EAD card has been returned to USCIS as being undeliverable...

I can't beleive this..I call USCIS to ask what address they sent the card to..guess what they can't tell me cause they don't have acess to the file..then they ask me upteen million questions just to give the address change again and at the end of my 30 minute phone call they say they have put in a service request to the office handling her file and it could take up to 30 days...What is point of hiring some moron to answer the phone if they can't answer a question or have acess to your file???

call again and ask to speak to an immigration officer
