  1. I got a RFE because they said I don't make enough money I have no sponsor, But I did get a raise. That would put me over the 125% poverty. with my pay before the raise I was just under the 125% by 200 dollars... If I had a letter from my employer and recent stubs would that be enough? feedback please i'm going crazy and stressed, we came so far and now this?:!

sorry to hear that. I got one on Monday because my husband did not make enough money last year (although we had a joint sponsor). He was asked to submit pay stubs for the last six month and a job letter. I believe that they just want to see whether there is a possibility that you could make more money this year. So Just follow the directions on the rfe if you were asked to submit pay stubs. Next thing talk to the lord and trust him. In May my husband was offered full time when he asked for an employment letter to sponsor me. If i were you i would wait a few weeks before i sent the required evidence since you make more money now (that depends on the no of days you were given to submit the evidence). That way you can proove to them that your salary has increased. I know that you want to get this over with but a little patience does not hurt. I have my required documents but I an going to wait till next week to send them cause if my husband gets two more pay subs it will show that he made enough money this year to sponsor me and my kids already. We have 87 days to submit the requested info

  2. Congrats, DI & JR!

Thanks, Johnnie J. I feel a little guilty because ours has been visible on line all along. I'm not sure what their deal is. Oh wait---it's USCIS, there simply is no rhyme or reason to anything.

    :crying::crying::cry:

I wouldn't care if I knew something...I really don't care if I get my interview, but I want to know something.

With the USCIS you'd rather hear nothing than bad news! Good or nothing should be the rule!

Hey Rich, where the heck have you been?

I'm right here mate, what do you mean?! Got my RFE today... gah.

Got my Rfe letter also. MY husband has to submit pay studs and another letter of employment. Best part is he distroyed most of his pay stubs last week. I am so lost as to why he needs to submit this when we had a joint sponsor. the letter also states that the service will process my I 765 if submitted within 90 days of the receipt of my missing evidence.

  3. Any updates? It seems that not many EAD cases are not approved this week. What's going on?

Finally I am able to see my I-485 status online after checking my status every five mins for the past month  . Funny thing is I just before i tried this evening I said to myself " THAT IS IT, IF YOU ARE NOT THERE THIS TIME I AM NOT GOING TO TRY AGAIN'' Funny thing is I don't know whether I really meant that. Now thats the good part. Bad part is a RFE letter was sent mailed out to me today  . Just what I needed. Did any of you get a RFE for I-485 and what was it for?

Hi JeffandDonna. Sorry to hear about your RFE. Could you tell us all what kind of information they asked you for?

got the RFFE letter in the mail today. My husband needs to submit 6 months pay stubs, a letter of employment containing wages and salary earned, no. of hours of work etc.

I don't know what it is all about yet i checked it online. I will let you know later though.

  6. Beats the hell out of all of us....I can't see my case either...

Maybe yours will be seen online soon. Mine finally came on today for the I-485. Anyway, It said that a RFE letter was sent out  . Now i am starting to think that I was better off not knowing my status. I wish i had gotten the letter first cause I am just going to worry about what the RFE is all about.

Ahhh ####### i got touched on my I-485 too with an RFE... i think it will be for the medical I-693 i didn't send, but hopefully nothing else. *panics* Nothing else has been updated, will this affect the processing of my I-765?

Now that you mentioned I think its for my I-693. The last time i called USCIS about my case status I was transfered to an officer and he said something about medical under his breath. I just want this to be over.

Sorry for the RFE, but just turn in what they ask for and your case will be resumed processing pretty quick once they receive your document. Don't worry be happy

    Thanks. Thats nice to know.

  11. Hello all. My wife filed in July as well, the 16th. Its been two months and I haven't even been contacted in regards to Biometrics. Does anyone know a phone # where you can call to actually get some assistance. The USCIS 800 # is still totally useless. My case got transferred to CSC. I don't know what bearing this has on things, but I am assuming she needs BioMetrics before they will approve the I-131 and I-765. Any opinions on who to contact at this time would be appreciated. Thanks

    Sal

  13. Well, I am finally ready to send in the AOS package today. I was wondering what everyone's opinions were on the best way to send it. I want to send it via the USPS, but do I do the delievery confirmation or what? I see some poeple know who signed for the package, hwo does this work if it is going to a P.O. Box?

I sent my package express with USPS. It got there within 24 hrs. Priority takes three days. I did not want to think about the no of applications that could get there before mine.

  14. Hey Friends,

How long did you wait after biometrics to see your status online?

Via online of course is much better to learn what is goin on with your status right? than over the phone and listening to automated voice call system.

Got my biometrics last august 20, but i guess i have to wait more co'z everytime i want to log in i failed.

    your reply is appreciated.

    Thx -mercy :-)

I have the same problem. USCIS said to me just be a little patient it will show up. An officer put in a request to have it shown online

  15. Hi all!

I wanted to ask something which really confuses me.

Is it a better idea that i wait for our 2nd wedding anniversary and then file for AOS or i have to do it now and not waste time waiting.

Our 2nd wedding anniversary will be on December 16...my visa is until October '09. I came here in the US on Nov 16, 2007 and until this time we havent filed any paper yet.

And what is the benefit (if theres any) of filing for AOS after the 2nd wedding anniversary?

I really wanted to understand and do the right thing. Thank you so much!

I think if you file before the second year of your anniversary you only get a conditional greencard (it is valid for 2 years) and you must file within 90 days before it expires to remove the conditions. Thats not the case if you file after 2nd anniversary. You get a permanent greencard. Thats because uscis want to be sure that the marriage is for real and that the couple are together after two years. My sister filed after the two years and got a 10 years visa (permanent Greencard). check out uscis.gov the info I think its on the instructions for I 485 or I 130 forms.
