Yes, I'm still waiting too and got the same answer when I called them yesterday. I asked if they could tell me if a biometrics letter has actually been sent out to me because I am paranoid about it getting lost in the post and she said she can't tell me because the second number she needs to access the system is on.....the biometrics letter!!! What a dumb stupid system! So if one has been sent to me and it got lost and my appointment is next week for example, I don't turn up because I don't know about it and then it looks like MY fault and I have to arrange for another appointment which could set my case back by months. I want to know why people who filed after me have already got their biometrics appointment and I (and others) are still waiting.

An email was also sent a few mins ago.

Checked my status 2 mins ago it stated, On May 20th 2011 We orderder production of your Green Card. YeaaaaaH!

I am not a November filer but my friend filed on Nov 18, got her NOa on the first week in december can't remember the date, Had her bio on Dec 27, yesterday when I checked her case status it should that her card production was ordered. Her case was never touched and she never got an email.

Filed at VSC, looks like they are a little behind on getting appointments out

It's strange that most people who filed at VSC hove not rec their bio appointments. I filed on 12/08/10 an rec my bio appointment on 12/22/10. Appointment date is 01/05/11. I rec my fist NOA on 12/16/10.

Same here... I have my Biometrics letter and I am scheduled for Jan 12, but I can't add that number to my portfolio online, it still says "not valid" . Who knows.. as long as they have it and they're working on it I'm ok with that

I have been following the Dec filers and I was wondering if it's possible to add me to the VSC list. I sent out my I-751 on 12/8/10 and recieved the NOA 1 on 12/16/10. Rec biometrics letter on 13/22/10 it was dated 12/17/10.

Need help with question 5 of I-751. My kids came her a year after I got residency. Do I still have to write the names in this section. Also, I had a baby after I recieved my GC should I include her name?

i was born in pakistan. i m a us citizen. i want to sponser my mom. i don,t have birth certificate, neither my mom. how i can prove . i have read the i-130 instructions. i can submit affadavit. does any one has any sample? please e mail me. i will really appreciate it. thanks in advance

I believe you have to submit a copy of your birth cert, showing your parents name on it. My question is, when you got visa from US embassy Pakistan, you didn’t show them birth cert or they didn’t ask you?

But you can do following:

If you have school record or B form or Pakistani ID, you can apply your birth cert in Pakistan and they will issue you in new date and will mention late entry.

For your mother: Just Affidavit is not going to work alone, when your case will be at NVC:

You must submit civil authorities latter, mentioning that why birth cert is not available. 2nd: a relative old then her, if alive provide affidavit for ur mom.

Hey question?? Your mother was born in Pakistan or Indian???

Civil authorities letter, you can get, but you need to put some time and efforts.... If your mother born in Pakistan, you can do same steps as I mentioned above for you.

If your mother born in India, then you need to tell them, that you need a letter saying: Her birth cert is not available in this office, because she born in India. No such record available for her.

You need to provide 1st and secondary evidence... to prove.

why shuch docs are not available.

mother was born in india. lives in pakistan father died. pakistani birth certificate has only father's name. even i don't know if my mom and dad have marriage certificate. any help.

My step daughter was told to get a DNA test to proove that my husband is her dad.

I came to US by K1 visa and got Greencard already. Today I send my daughter I-130 for her greencard.

I just wanna know how long you guys have to wait for approval? If US citizen apply for step daughter.

My daughter just turn 3 last month and she stay with my mom right now. I really want to know how long we have to wait.

I think it takes a few months. I got my greencard in Dec and my kids got approved a few days after. My husband filed for them in August. The NVC process takes does not take time if you send in any document they ask you quickly. It would probably take 6-8months. before she gets a gc. You can also check the timeline on the USCIS website.

I really need your help fellow members. I am confused about this DS 230 form and the choice of agent form.

My questions are:

DS 230 Part 1 page 2-- Signature of applicant?

1- WHo will sign as the applicant? my minor kids who are the beneficiary? Or my mom who is the legal guardian of the kids?

2- Can i just print this form and sign it myself since I am the mother of the kids and they are minros(7 & 11) so i don't have to send the forms to the Philippines for them to sign and send back to me here?

Another question is about the Choice of Agent Form

1 -When should i prepare this Choice of agent form?( we are still waiting for the NOA 2 of our I -130)

2 SHould i prepare this or my mom(legal guardian) will do it?

2.WIll this form be sent to me by NVC or i can just print them from their website?

3. If this form is filled up can i just email it to NVC or send it by mail?

4-Lastly who will sign this choice of agent form? my mom who is the legal guardian or i can sign it since i am the biological mother of the benefeciaries?

I just submitted the choice of agent form for my kids. NVC said that I should sign because my kids ar minors. You can call 603-334-0700 to talk to a customer service rep. Have your case number, petitioner's info (name, birthdate, etc) and your kid info (birthdate name etc). They will answer all your questions.

I filed the I-130 on the 25th of Nov 2008. Received on the 26th. Check Cleared on the 6th of December. I still haven't heard from the USCIS. No NOA. Its been more than 20 Days now. Does it take that much time. I am waiting for the NOA1, since i have to apply for the AOS, that I couldn't file with the I-130. Anybody else experienced delays. Most of the timelines I read on topics here receive their NOA's within a week.

I received my first noa 22 days after I filed. You should have filed all your documents together so they can be processed together. That way you dont have to wait a whole year to get your GC. I filed everything together and I received my EAD 7 days after my my I 130 was approved and my Interview letter less than a month after.
