  1.:dancing: PASSED written test for DMV...(got 7 wrong), my road test is scheduled for Feb. 5 (in NJ you have to wait 3 months after receiving permit b4 allowed to road test)

on another note, went to WAMU bank to get added to hubby's accounts and credit card and they said that my ssn didn't "check out" yet...something about social security admin. have to notify banking system of it before they can do anything (I think that's stupid, seeing as i'm able to use it for dmv) and that i should try back in a few weeks...don't think i can wait that long but then again i'm already on his other checking account (at a different bank) so i guess as long as i have 1 i'm ok...

You dont really need a social security number to add your name to your hubby's account at wamu. You can always do it now and submit your social later. My hubby and I opened two accounts there after we gor married in Feb. I opened two accounts with them before I even knew my hubby.

  2. My wife got her Green card approved today during the interview. They said 4-6 weeks to receive it.

today the card showed up in the mail. My wife was so excited.

    Wish everyone all the luck.

Just for the record our online status never changed and never received one email with any progress. Approved with zero touches according to online. The whole touch thing may be overrated.

    WOOOOHO! Congrats! :dance::dance:

  3. Apparently you forgot to submit Form I-864 for your original sponsor that petitioned for your K-1 visa (your husband/wife).

If you have a co-sponsor, you always have to submit Form I-864 for the original sponsor as well - even if they don't have any income.

    Hope that helps.

We already submitted the I-864 Affidavit of support which my husband did. I guess we have to submit the I-864 again. I only have my husband as the sponsor. We don't have co sponsor. They may think that we have a different sponsor aside from my petitioner/husband.

    Thanks for the advise!!!

Just send what they ask you for. I got a rfe a tew weeks ago for stuff that I sent when i filed. Anyway when I called USCIS I was told to follow orders. JUst send it out A.S.A.P. MY RFE was recieved on Oct 8th and it was approved on the 13th. I got my letter of approval in the mail today.

  4. HI all! Anybody else got their Interview appointment? I got mine last week but on the USCIS website my case is still "received and pending" I wonder why they don't update the info. Also I'm still waiting on my EAD, probably I won't even get it before my interview next month. I am a little worried that I didn't hear of anybody from August fillers having the interview appointment, I don't know if it's a bad sign for me. Good luck to all!

I would take it only as a good sign.

    Is your timeline correct?

Did you file I-130 a month after I-485?

Hope so, no I filed I-130 tigether with I-485. I sent the I-765 a month later because it was rejected at first.

    congrats! good luck!

  5. Hello friends,

it's me again with two more questions:

    1. In my i130, question 14, it says "Date authorized stay expired, or will expire, as shown on Form I-94 or I-95", what should I write if my I-94 says

"Valid for duration of status"? (I'm an F1)

    2. In my G-325A, they ask about my father birth date, but since I don't even know my father, what should I answer there?

I was raised by my aunts and they don't have the slightest idea about that date either.

Thanks for any clue in regards to this.

Ques 1. you should write the date I-94 is valid until.

Ques 2. you should write N/A and attach a note( with the question and the reason why you dont know) to the form. I was told to do that by Uscis when I called USCIS. Don't forget to include Petitioner's name, ss no, date and signature on paper. Don't leave anything blank cuz you will be rejected.

There's no expiration date on my i-94, it only says: "Valid for duration of status".

Ques 1. don't know had I-94. You can always call uscis if you are not sure about something. Is there an exp date on your f1?

  7. Hello,

I'm a new member but have found myself coming back again and again to this forum. Very helpful.

My wife is a naturalized US citizen and is my sponsor. I am already in the US, currently working using my F-1 OPT.

We're getting ready to concurrently file the I-130 and I-485 (with all the supporting documents) but just need to clarify some things.

My question is about the I-864 affidavit of support.

    1) My wife's income alone is sufficient to meet the 125% 2008 poverty guideline for our household size (which would be 3, I have 1 son). Should I still include my (intending immigrant) income in the I-864?

    2) As some of you may have guessed, my wife can actually use I-864EZ as she meets all 3 requirements. Is this a better way to go?

Thanks. Hope to hear from you soon.

If her income is sufficient you dont need to include yours. I dont think that this is the right form. You should call USCIS for more info on the forms.
