  1. Today is day 11 of waiting for my amnio results.

    My nerves are completely shot.

They told us to expect the results in 10-14 days.

I sure hope it's soon.....the waiting is so hard :(

Prayers or Good vibes are much appreciated, thanks!

  2. This site REALLY helped me, a little fear goes a long way in my world, haha. (See the "We died young section)

This site let me stop rationalizing that I still had time to quit before something bad happened. Lot's of good support there as well

    http://www.whyquit.com/

Good luck!!!!! I am another heavy smoker who managed to quit, although I had to use the gum, but it helped take the edge off immensely and still satisfied that oral fixation thing!

  3. Yes to the gums (no bleeding this time)

No to the sleeping (still prefer right side)

I third the opinion about what to "Expect While You're Expecting", it's been my bible all THREE pregnancies....I also have "Your Pregnancy Week by Week" which I enjoy.

  4. Hi all,

We had our amnio yesterday and it went really well.

The ultrasound was amazing and the tech was 90% sure it's a girl! Woohhooo

Now we have to wait 10-14 days for the results ....ughhh

  5. Thanks, I'm pretty sure right now we could qualify for the Oregon Health Plan (State funded health care) but didn't think my Husband could utilize it due to the I864.

I have Health Insurace thorugh work,

but my kids and husband are currently un-insured and I would LOVE to get them covered!

Let me know what you find out!

    Thanks :)

  6. I can't sleep either.

One, because I get up to pee probably every two hours or so, and two, because it's hard to breathe, my nose is chronically stuffy.

That pillow looks good, but not sure WHAT to do about the constant bathroom trips.

  7. FWIW this is the post I was thinking of, of course everyone's comfort zone is different:

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some statistics that may help you determine the risk of getting listeria:

Food-related cases of listeria in the US annually: 2,493

    Deaths from above cases: 499

The above info is from the CDC and represents annual averages. When you take the US population as of 2000 (approx. 281,000,000), it's an easy calculation. You as an individual have the following chance of getting listeria in a given year: 0.00089%, or 1 in 112,715.

When you also consider that there are over 40,000 deaths in the US annually from car accidents (and that's just deaths, not even injuries), it becomes quite clear that if you are going to worry about something potentially harming your unborn child, it should not be eating deli meat but driving to the store to get it!

  8. Hmmm, scary.

Luckily I don't really care for coldcuts, but like I said have eaten hotdogs, but they, of course are always cooked.

Better safe than sorry I suppose.

    Didn't mean to upset you

  9. I read on my pregnancy board that the risk from the packaged cold cuts is almost nil, I wouldn't

I have eaten hot dogs a bunch of times....uh oh.

I am avoiding undercooked meat, soft chesses, etc, but not going to stress over every single thing
