  2. Hello my new friends!

I got my I-129F approval notice abot two month ago. My documents were send to NVC around the same time.

I got e-mail from NVC stated I should pay $70 for I-864 form and I paid this money and mail I-864 form to NVC.

Recentry I gon another e-mail from NVC aasking me to pay $400 for an interview in Kazkhstan.

I calld NVC yesterday to ask were my documents are, and they told me I should send them a form DS-230 sined by my husband (hi is in Kazkhstan),

the form must be in original and can't be send as Fax or PDF document.

As I know this form should be in the pakage 3 from an embassy and it's nothing to do with NVC, I have know idea why they asking me this form,

I thought they just should do another background chack and pass our documents to an embassy in Kazkhstan for an interview.

Please let me know what I'm doing wrong or what I did wrong.

    Thank you for any help.

Did you file I-130 for CR1/IR1 visa too! NVC is talking about pending CR1/IR1 visa petition and processing fees, i.e., $70 for I-864 (affidavit of support) and $400 for DS-230 (IV fee bill)

K-3 is handle at US embassy or Consulate, where you send or present all necessary documents at the time of interview.

  3. Hello everyone... I'm totally over analyzing right now but I'm just wondering how others have responded or intend to respond to this question 22 where it asks "In what occupation do you intend to work in the United States". We are planning to just see what opportunities are out there for my hubby when he gets here and go from there. He had been a chauffeur in the past, but i'm not sure that's what he'll be intending to be here.... on the example DS-230 it says just to "name it if known" in the space after this question. What do we do if it's UNKNOWN? Or did i just answer my own question? hahaha should i put UNKNOWN?

What have the rest of you done/or intend to do for this? :help:

You can write "NOT SURE YET" or "NOT KNOWN".

  4. Here is my dilemna,

I am moving out from Nebraska to relocate in North Carolina, however my appointment for the biometrics just got scheduled in Omaha, NE...is there a chance that I get it rescheduled closer to my new home? If yes, how?

    Thank you!

If moving makes change in Service Center (CA to VT) then avoid it, as it would delay your AOS for couple of months. Otherwise, re-schedule it after changing your address with USCIS (form AR-11) online or by mail. I would suggest change your address after Biometric.

  5. My husband came here on a K3 visa and left me and his daughter shortly 3 months after his arrival. He did not adjust his status (he applied but only got as far as taking biometrics). USCIS told me to withdraw the I-130 and I-485. Is there a way to fix this if my husband comes back and we work our marriage out?

In my opinion, call USCIS customer service, if your withdrawal notice is not in their system or under review, then still chance for AOS.

  6. I am putting together the list of things that i need to send with ds230. Am i missing anything from this list?

  8. I am trying to flip my K3 interview date to a CR1 interview date. I would like to know what documents do we need to submit at the VFS besides the courier fees for a CR1 case?

1)Photocopy of both interview letters, NVC and Mumbai Consulate.

    2)Two 2x2 photographs

    3)DS-230 forms

    4)Photocopy of passport's biographic pages

5)Photocopies of -- Birth certificate, Marriage certificate, both PCC

    6)Medical report.

    7)394 rupees courier fee.

  9. Got letter from NVC stating that they received approved I-129F (K3) from USCIS and they will be forwarding our case to Embassy in Mumbai. Didn't get NOA2 from USCIS. Case status on USCIS web for both I-130 and I-129F show pending. NVC automated service shows case not found for both the cases. Talked to NVC operator and he was able to lookup K3 file and said they already sent papers to Embassy in Mubai and I am done with NVC. Lets see when I get NOA2 for I-129F and I-130. For now I am happy with K3 aprroval

Call USCIS customer service for NOA2.

  10. 1.is there a way to expidite i-130 category from F2A to IR ? i know most of you did not follow this router but in case please reply

At NVC, you can request for expedite process due to life threatening emergencies such as medical and humanitarian emergency. However, normally NVC process itself is a expedite process.

2.I hear people talk about showing picture and other stuff to shows bonified marrige do you send this during nvc process or carry them to embassy?

    At the time of interview.

  11. Question D1 states: "1. If separate petitions are also being submitted for other relatives, give names of each and relationship."

If I am filing for both parents, do I put down their relationship to each other or to me as the petitioner?

For example, on mum's application should I put NAME (HUSBAND) or NAME (FATHER)?

Relationship between petitioner (you) and beneficiary.

  12. Hi everyone! Our k-3 and I-130 were both approved. Our lawyer told us to file for both and whichever one comes first just go with that one. So we sent the forms in for our k-3 (on the form the consulate send us that our interview wait time is 4-6 months in Montreal). We sent the forms in thinking that the I-130 interview date would hopefully be sooner and we could just go with that. Now our lawyer is telling us that we need to wait to be done with the K-3 and then file AOS for the I-130. Just wondering if anyone knows what we should do. We have been in this process for almost a year and I really don't want to wait another 4-6 months for an interview. What are our options?

    Thanks!

Approval for K-3 and CR1/IR1 VISA is almost same (may be 2-4 weeks different), so I would suggest going for I-130 and complete your NVC journey.

For K-3 visa you need to do “adjustment of status” later in US and paying more money, dealing with USCIS again, spending more time for GC plus paying more money to lawyer. But obvious choice is yours.

  13. PRECAUTIONS FOR GPS AND CELL PHONES: GOOD INFO

    GPS

This gives us something to think about with all our new electronic technology. GPS

A couple of weeks ago a friend told me that someone she knew had their car broken into while they were at a football game.

Their car was parked on the green which was adj acent to the football stadium and specially allotted to football fans. Things stolen from the

car included a garage door remote control, some money and a GPS which had been prominently mounted on the dashboard. When the victims got home, they found that their house had been ransacked and just about everything worth anything had been stolen.

The thieves had used the GPS to guide them to the house. They then used the garage remote control to open the garage door and gain entry to the

house. The thieves knew the owners were at the football game, they knew what time the game was scheduled to finish and so they knew how much time they had to clean up the house. It would appear that they had brought a truck to empty the house of its contents.

    MOBILE PHONE

    I never thought of this......

This lady has now changed her habit of how she lists her names on her mobile phone after her handbag was stolen. Her handbag, which contained

her cell phone, credit card, wallet... Etc. was stolen. 20 minutes later when she called her hubby, from a pay phone telling him what had happened,

hubby says 'I received your text asking about our Pin number and I've replied a little while ago. When they rushed down to the bank, the bank

staff told them all the money was already withdrawn.. The thief had actually used the stolen cell phone to text 'hubby' in the contact list and got hold20of the pin number. Within 20 minutes he had withdrawn all the money from their bank account.

    Moral of the lesson:

Do not disclose the relationship between you and the people in your contact list. Avoid using names like Home, Honey, Hubby, Sweetheart, Dad,

Mom, etc.... And very importantly, when sensitive info is being asked through texts, CONFIRM by calling back. Also, when you're being text by

friends or family to meet them somewhere, be sure to call back to confirm that the message came from them. If you don't reach them, be very careful

a bout going places to meet 'family and friends' who text you.

PLEASE PASS THIS ON * I never thought about THAT! As of now, I no longer have 'home' listed on my cell phone.

Source: Received an e-mail from a friend.

  14. Man I called my husband yesterday night and he was asleep and he told me that we got the NOA2 for the 129F !!!!!!

Is it possible to the I129f be approved first than the I130?

I am here crazy, happy :star: I need to wake up cause sometime I think I am dreaming ... I am goin to call him later on jus to check this out again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Thnks

    Congratulations

  15. My husbands case is complete with out any RFE's! It's sucha big deal for me because I was compiling all the documents and I was scared we might get held back for silly things. All worked out, not it's just him and the Embassy in Dhaka.

I've heard they're not very nice and always having people go back and forth. Has anyone dealt with the Consulate in Dhaka lately? Any help would be highly appreciated.

My concern now is, they mentioned the case was complete but no official date for the interview. So, my question does anyone know how many days before they can give me a date.

Everyone else, good luck and may Allah guide you all.

10-business day!!! Then it may be a record, as I do not know anybody completed NVC in 9-business day. Congratulations.

Is it OK with you, if you mention your time lines and category of visa, i.e., file for?

  16. We have rescheduled our K-3 interview from April 22, 09 to May 26, 09.

Can anyone please let us know when we may get the packet 4 since:

    1. They say they have sent it more than two weeks ago

    2. We still haven't received it

    3. One operator told my wife that it's sent roughly a month in advance...

It's a bit of confusing and she needs the letter to get the passport office PCC and medical done.

    Thanks for all the help!

Packet 4 for CR1/IR1 is interview package and my wife received it from US consulate, Mumbai. If you have NVC e-mail regarding interview date and place, use it for PCC and Medical as we did it for Medical. We got PCC without any interview letter.
